That didn't take long... Good for Zorn |
Re: Zorn finds Job.
He doesn't have to move far. Nice.
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
JZ's a good dude...happy for him and his family
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
back to where he belongs, as a qb coach. i wish him luck.
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
Flacco will finally break that 90+ mark thanks to Zorn. Easily one of the best QB coaches in the game. Still I wonder how many years worth of QB coaching he got paid from his time in Washington

My thoughts exactly.. |
Re: Zorn finds Job.
I'm sure he'll do well with the violet and gray. Good for him.

Exactly |
Re: Zorn finds Job.
 Violet and gray. Good man. I wish him well.
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
Best of luck to Zorn. Classy guy and a true gentleman.
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
This is a great thing to hear. Jim Zorn may have had a rough time in Washington, but he will make JFlac a top QB.
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
I'm happy for the Z-man, he'll go back to what he probably does best. He's only forty five minutes from his last place of employment.......How fortunate.
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
congrats to zorn i guess, i never really understood the reasoning behind sayin he is such a good qb coach. he coached hasslebeck and he really isn't that good, just don't get, but good luck in b-more zorn.

i totally agree |
Re: Zorn finds Job.
Ive never wished anything bad on the man. He was just handed some mercs with a coke head of a VP in Cerratto. Im surprised he got to 12 wins here.
With Flacco, I see that guys numbers going up up up next year, specially if they get a big name WR like they are talking about. |
Re: Zorn finds Job.
Good for you, JZ. I look forward to watching FlaccoZorn.
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
So we went from an Al Saunders offense to a Jim Zorn offense, which apparently contributed to major issues for our offense...and now they'll be working together in Baltimore
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
I would consider this a promotion for Jim Zorn. He no longer has to work with Daniel Snyder.
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
Feel free to bet an entire fortune on the next Ravens vs. Redskins matchup(with the Redskins losing) if he's still there whenever they meet up again.
|
Re: Zorn finds Job.
Just watch, next time we play Baltimore, they line up all their punt team on one side of the field and put Sam Koch, their punter on the other side of the field, he throws it down field past LaRon for a TD...

Better yet the TD pass gets thrown to Dawan Landry. |

I couldnt agree more. Balt is a solid franchise thats a playoff contenter every year, unlike his previous team that's constantly chasing the next big thing which results in being a consistent loser. I really think with Zorn's help Flacco will go to the next level as a QB. |

Saunders was for all practical purposes handcuffed by Gibbs and Brunell though. |

At home in 2012... hopefully we'll be a contender by then. |

Hopefully we'll be defending champs by then. :) |
Re: Zorn finds Job.
Hope it works out for him in Baltimore, and like someone else said, its nice that he doesnt have to move his family... I wish good luck to JZ, except when we play Baltimore again
|

I agree, I think we saw during the playoff run in 2007 with Todd Collins, what Suanders offense really could be like... |

Yes, Saunders was handcuffed by having JC as his QB. It was amazing how much better the O performed with a QB that knew the system, could make fast decisions and get the ball out. |

I haven't checked, but I can only assume he's won like five super bowls since then. |
Re: Zorn finds Job.
Look for the Ravens to only get better in the years ahead. Zorn will likely take Flacco to the next level, and that offense was already making strides.

Doesn't have to move AT ALL. :D Congrats and good luck Coach Zorn, this job will be a much better fit for you. |
Re: Zorn finds Job.
Baltimore is feeling Zorn's glow:

You're not?! JZ is a nice guy and a good QB coach. He was just in a little over his head here as far as being a HC. |

Re: Zorn finds Job.
Very funny that the last two people that ran our offenses, Zorn and Saunders are now working in Baltimore. I bet those two have already shared some funny stories.

I haven't checked, but I can only assume he's won like five super bowls since then.[/quote] Well first of all he hasn't had a OC job since he left here. Saunders is a proven guy. KC had a top 5 offense when he coached there. He just didn't have the personel to run his offense while in Washington. |
Re: Zorn finds Job.
He was the OC in St. Louis in 2008. That Rams team put up 232 points, or about 2/3 of those underachievers on the 2007 Redskins (334), and about 4/5 as many as that "west coast" Redskins offense of 08 (265).

well i don't think it matters who was running the rams offense the last few years. |

I think his point was that Al hasn't proved much anywhere with any personnel anytime recently. |
