How about Jamal Lewis??

He's available. What if we used him in goal line or short yardage situations??

No way, we'll have to waste money installing wheelchair ramps in the locker room. Man is old.

Not totally against it, except for the fact that he's been waffling back and forth between retiring and returning for another year. Black Favre!

There is a reason why the Browns released him. We can have every free agent.

Re: How about Jamal Lewis??

There is no reason to bring Jamal Lewis in here. He has mentally checked out already. We need a young #2 who is hungry and trying to steal CPs job since it looks like he is coming back.

Naw. I don't see any rejuvination. Don't know his age, but he has a lot of miles on him. The Ravens rode him hard while he was there. He was running on fumes last year.

If we used a car comparison with your trade idea, here is what someone will give us for ARE and CP under their current contracts...

A modified Gremlin with holes in the floorboard, no bumpers and three on the tree.

Peyton Hillis is better.

He's the next in line of successful Redskins FBs-turned-power HBs.

Well, if he comes here. But considering his job options are extremely limited...the future is bright.:)

Re: How about Jamal Lewis??

No thank you!!!!! We need to get younger at the RB position. Adding Jamal Lewis just adds another beat up veteran RB with too much mileage.

In what logical scenario would Lewis be an upgrade over our current runningbacks?

Ole please. Is this the its the Joke thread of the day....? haha..I think I'm gonna puke.

Hell no. Don't we have a bunch of used up/good squad quality, beat to shit, unproductive backs. Why would we add one more to the list. Hopefully, the list is getting ready to shrink, not expand.

I don't think the original thought was nearly as ludicrous as many of the posts would imply. Still wouldn't go for it though

Sorry, but might you put that in English - - or in some language known to some peoples of the Earth?

Re: How about Jamal Lewis??

lol Bo Jackson still got it. You see him whoop that guys ass in his MMA fight? haha All kidding aside. Jamal Lewis, TERRIBLE IDEA. Bring in three undrafted RB's and let them battle it out for 1 of the last roster spots. We'd get more production out of one of them

Re: How about Jamal Lewis??

Lewis, incidentally, is just one day older than Ladell Betts and less than a month older than Chester Taylor...and four years younger than Mike Sellers

tryfuhl 02-18-2010 11:47 PM

Re: How about Jamal Lewis??

This is true. He also has nearly 4 times the number of carries of Betts and nearly 2.5 times as many as Taylor. I wouldn't be upset if we took a look at him, but I'd be upset if we looked at him before several others.

I like how the attitude on age changes based on the position.

"Let's get Chester Taylor this offseason"...."NO, we need to get younger!!"

"How 'bout we pick up Bryant as a WR?"...."NO, we have young guys that need playing time, and we need to get younger!!"

"So, what do you guys think of Dansby?"..."NO! He's too expensive and we should draft young guys!!"

"We should draft a franchise Left Tackle at #4"...."Well, I'm sure Shanahan could build the offensive line with a whole bunch FA linemen in their mid to late 30s"

True, though Betts is coming off of major knee surgery (for the second time in less than five years I believe).

But Snake wasn't talking about him carrying a major load here, just to be a goal-line back

How about hell to the no. Sorry, but last time Jamal Lewis was relevant, so was that catchphrase.
