Ben Roethlisberger Accused of Sexual Assault

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been accused of sexual assault by a young woman in Georgia
, TMZ has learned.

The alleged incident occurred early this morning at Capital City -- a club in Milledgeville, Georgia.

The alleged victim, who has already been interviewed by police, has been treated and released.

We're told in addition to the alleged victim, witnesses are being interviewed -- and one law enforcement source says they will attempt to interview Roethlisberger.

In addition to the Milledgeville Police Dept, we've learned the Georgia Bureau of Investigations is also investigating.

As we previously reported, Roethlisberger is being sued by a Reno woman, Andrea McNulty, who claims the QB sexually assaulted her in 2008.

UPDATE: We're told Roethlisberger has already been interviewed by police. We're also told no formal charges have been filed at this point.

Not the greatest source, but maybe the previous non-incident wasn't really one?

Whether he did anything previously or not, it should have been a wakeup call not to put himself in any situations to be accused, whether falsely or legitmately.

He didnt learn? once im speculative, twice in a year...looks to be an issue that needs to be addressed. Ill wait for more info, but im not gonna give him a pass like the first incident which sounded kinda crazy

I think rape and sexual assault are two different things. Rape is sexual assault for sure, but all sexual assault is not rape if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, this is really troubling. If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat... Twice in a year is not a good thing. There's clearly something going on. I don't get it. He's a 2x Super Bowl champion QB. I don't care how chubby he is, he could have women lining up to sleep with him. Why is there any need for this kind of crap?

That's the kicker. We've all got friends who aren't 1) rich 2) famous 3) prized athletes, who can pretty much get as much hot tail as they like. So it kinda looks like Ben is a frustrated headcase who turns to anger w/ the ladies.

I think that with forced sexual encounters it's more about dominance and control at that point than anything.

how do you sexually assault someone in a club?? what did he grab her ass or something?? lol. ben is a dumbass for putting himself in that position but i find it hard to believe an assault when on here. but ben really needs to get his act together and start growing up.

This is the exact reason why the Giants passed on ben in the 2004 draft. They knew his off the field actions were questionable and risky, even in his college games.

You are seeing the reason why right now. I'm starting to believe the 1st girl actually was raped by Ben.

Uhhhh, lets not get carried away here. I am not defending the guy, but if it took place in a club, well, I doubt its anything more than a misconstrued touch or dancing taken a little too far. I doubt he'd grab the girls head with both of his man hands, force it into his crotch area, and check her temperature with his meat thermometer all while drinking his 7 and 7, getting hypnotized by flashing strobe lights and getting a pounding headache from distortedly loud music. (All this with plenty of people around.) I just really think given the venue, this is prolly a money grab, but hey, who knows..........

The word on Big Ben in Pittsburgh is that he's basically a pussy pirate, or at least thats what my cousin tells me. Personally this could go either way. I mean if you were looking to extort an athlete for money Big Ben would be pretty ripe. I mean coming off a previous sexual assault charge and having the same thing happen again is enough to create doubt in the mind of plenty of people.

On the other hand there have been plenty of rapist out that have been charming and visible in the community with a positive image, enough that they're able to get away with whatever their hearts desire. Some are also really good at picking victims that would hypothetically lack credibility when it comes to a trial.

I'll personally wait for the evidence on this one. But initially it sounds like another extortion case to me.

Maybe Ben should just change his name, I mean this is the man that had someone impersonating him to get dates:

I am not really seeing a Jenny Craig before and after photo here. Some people just have chubby cheeks even when they are thin. To say becasue he has gained some weight he is alcoholic is kind of a stretch.

He's definitely filled out a lot since he was a rook. I do agree it's a bit of a stretch to blame it all on booze. It may be a part of it but he's also 6 years older and I read an article on him where he said he has bulked up on purpose in order to take the punishment of playing QB.

well that's what happened...i saw it on espn. he was having one of his boys to go out and recruit women to come into the vip section, so there were people around. i mean how much of an assult could've went on if he's up in a vip section with many people around. this is so stupid on so many levels.

Or he is using roids or taking way too many amino acid tablets(legal roids). As a freshman, me, my roomie, and one of my suite mates had to use all the strengh we had to hold back our other suite mate(who was drunk as hell) from raping a female friend of his that was visiting us when he got back. The guy was drunk, but he was a bodybuilder, that was taking amino acid big time. The guy saw Heather( a rather shapely brunette) and went bonkers.

Yeah, I'm not saying that it's definitely proves he's an alcohlic but I do think that combined with the photos (of him around town) and reputation he has around town it makes a case towards that possibility. I mean one of the easiest ways to gain weight is to drink alcohol and Ben's weight has been going up without muscle gain which is unusual for a guy thats as physically active as a pro football player.

In the end it's just circumstantial but it does point to the possibility.

Agreed, and by the same token McNabb has gained a lot of weight to since his rookie year so maybe I'm making a lot of noise about nothing. I still think though that theres a strong chance that he's an alcoholic. Just based on what I've seen from people that I've met in my own life (none in my own family mind you) and other stuff that I keep hearing about Ben, especially from the part of my family that currently lives in Pittsburgh.

Better yet if I were to put a number on it I would say that I'm 70% sure.

Edit: On a side note, owning a shirt that says "drink like a champion" doesn't really help your case :D

Why would it be? IF he was with his homies, do you think they would have done anything if Ben bent her over, etc? If they were drunk they would have laughed or joined in probably. Not saying it happened, I wasn't there, but just from experience in college, befriending many college athletes in a MAC school, I can tell you I wouldn't feel too comfortable being a hot blond weighing 115 lbs finding myself in a room of a bunch of drunk, horny male athletes or their gophers.
