Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
I really dont see us getting getting 2 first round picks but you never know. It would of been nice for Tebow in the 3rd and CJ Spiller with the 17th pick.
Good job putting it together. |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
great job guys this is actually pretty impresive.
i gotta go with gtripp as the best draft class imo, the pick for the raiders were really good imo
8 - Raiders: GTripp - Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers 39 - Raiders: GTripp - Jahvid Best, RB, Cal 69 - Raiders: GTripp - Jarrett Brown, QB, West Virginia
could make oakland a play off team next year tebow in the second for pitt though??? i do like the hayden pick he's a local kid and i think he is a beast, and ben tate is a sleeper rb |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
i would have really loved to seen how this would have played out if we kept our 4th and 37th pick... but 2 OT's are wonderful and we can only hope it goes this way.
|
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
i look at the Patriots draft and am amazed. They addressed 4 need areas and got solid value at each pick. I do wonder if Cody falls that far.
|
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
What? How come the Patriots don't have 5 picks in the first round this year?
|
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
Chargers, Patriots, Rams, Lions, Bucs were all winners.
Giants came out really well, if defense-heavy, and the Chiefs went offense heavy, but did pretty well. |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
Whoever pulled off that trade down for the Redskins needs a raise.
|
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
- Browns: budw38 - Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa
38 - Browns: budw38 - Mardy Gilyard, WR/KR, Cincinnati 71 - Browns: budw38 - Eric Norwood, LB/DE, South Carolina 85 - Browns: budw38 - Javier Arenas, CB, Alabama 92 - Browns: budw38 - Alex Carrington, DE, Arkansas St. Hey , don't doubt my Browns :) If GTripp had not taken Rb Tate , I would have liked my draft more . I now have one of the best OL's in the NFL, playmaker ( wr/kr Gilyard ) a pass rusher Norwood .... of course I need a qb , another DB and maybe a new coach , but that is easy to fix :) Great job on the draft SS33 ......here is to the Redskins having a great draft next month ! |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
Lions , 49ers and Colts did a fine job I would have to say .

I was really happy with the way the Lions' draft went. Although, when 2-14, and with their long history, it is hard to mess it up ;). |

Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
I was hoping to address the Rams defense in the later rounds. I just know they need to surround the new QB with playmakers.
My 49ers had a relatively good draft IMO. Berry would solidify their secondary, they also got the lineman they needed in the second round, and got the 3rd down back to play with Gore in McCluster. I kinda orchestrated that trade with the skins because the dude drafting as the skins didn't show up until hours after his scheduled pick, I was hoping he did more with the gift I gave him, but owell. I would have taken the best Trent Williams, Mike Iupati and Qb in the second. I think Iupati can eventually transition to RT. |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
Nice job by SS33 for pulling this off.
|
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
hahaha nobody here is going to say Dallas had a nice draft hahahaha..... if things go this way for Dallas it would be a perfect draft.... got all needs and got 1st round value in the second round and second round value in the 3rd so overall perfect draft.... would had prefered Earl Thomas to Mays but still huge upgrade.

You might be right , I can see the cowboys winning 7 games this year , maybe you score a TD in your home game with us ... another loss of course :) |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
Great job Sammy. Even though I didn't participate in the drafting, this was a lot of fun.

Well I think it is more impressive for someone to have a good mock draft of team that they know little about. |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
9 - Bills: Buster - Rolando McLain, ILB, Alabama
30 - Bills: Buster (from Vikings) - Colt McCoy, QB, Texas 93 - Bills: Buster (From Vikings) - Ciron Black, OT from LSU 20 - Texans: Buster - Earl Thomas, S, Texas 51 - Texans: Buster - Jonathan Dwyer, RB, Georgia Tech 81 - Texans: Buster - Donovan Warren, CB, Michigan 23 - Packers: WaldSkins - Kyle Wilson, CB/KR, Boise State 56 - Packers: Buster - Jared Veldheer, OT, Hillsdale College 86 - Packers: Buster - Thaddeus Gibson, OLB, Ohio State *I did not make Packers 1st-round pick, took over for 2/3 I addressed team needs with all, but I think my Texans draft was the most sucessful. Solid players at all 3 picks who can start and contribute. Their D is solid other than a weak secondary...not any more. They could have one of the better defenses in the league after I fixed it. Also, they need another RB. The Bills did well also I think, hitting 3 major needs. I'm not completely sure about Colt McCoy and was debating to take him or Tebow, but he should be an upgrade over their current QB mess. |

My Texans took Earl Thomas. :) You're stuck with a guy who is overvalued and can't cover. Roy Williams Jr. |

Can't argue with that in a redskins board... but I do believe Dallas will finish either 1 or 2 in the division Dallas has it's team intact and will get an upgrade through the draft. The problem is that the whole NFC is getting better... you have Minnesota (if they still have Favre), Green Bay, Maybe Chicago, New Orleans, Carolina and Atlanta plus the NFC EAST which is also very high... The West is a Joke but getting to the playoffs will be hard this season specially as a wildcard team... I can easily see a 10-6 team not making the playoffs this year |

It never ceases to amaze me how good Parcells is at building teams so much so that the Cowboys have been competitive since 2007 with Jurruh running the team. The Cowboys will be going back to the Quincy Carter/Dave Campo era if Jones doesn't get a good personnel man between now and when that core leaves Dallas. I mean put it this way the Redskins only lasted half a season after Gibbs left and leaving Vinny to call the shots with essentially a puppet coach. The Cowboys on the other hand have lasted 3 years and counting using a similar method. Also keep in mind that now with the Saints winning the Super Bowl Parcells has 3 coaches from his coaching tree that have won at least one Super Bowl. |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
Dirtbag not really... Yeah Parcell was great to this franchise specially to Jones it showed him how to do things right and take away some of his GOD complex he had... Like I do believe both Shanahan and Allen will do to Snyder.
The scouting department put in place since Parcell left it's great and Jerry tends to really more on them. After Parcell left we have had very good drafts, getting Spencer, F.Jones, M. Jenkins,O. Scandrick, T.Choice, M.Bennett (still a project) the 2009 draft wasn't good at all but it's to soon to tell if something will stick... But Dallas has been really good at developing young talent resigning their own young players and getting good quality FA for cheap... Like Brooking, Sensabaugh and Olshansky and been great on getting and developing talent via the Undrafted FA.. Austin, Hurd and Ogletree. The only really bad move the team has made since parcell left has been Roy Williams we all know it and it sure did hurt our draft last year but I do believe this front office has learned and it's doing a much better job that before Parcell left... but to say Jerry will never learn it's like saying Snyder will never learn. This team it's built to compete for the next 5 years if things keep going in the right direction and we don't screw up... we have a great young defense and offense... the oline needs to get younger and need more weapons at WR but no huge holes in the team. |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
Of course i liked my Patriots draft ,was surprised CJ and Cody fell as far as they did. And thought there was good vaule with the other two picks.
22 - Patriots: halodoc - CJ Spiller, RB, Clemson 44 - Patriots: halodoc - Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech 47 - Patriots: halodoc - Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama 53 - Patriots: halodoc - Rob Gronkowski, TE, Arizona I also liked the Cheifs , thought good vaule ,they still wont be playoff bound though. 5 - Chiefs: WaldSkins - Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma St. 36 - Chiefs: WaldSkins - Jerry Hughes, DE/OLB, TCU 50 - Chiefs: BHA - Ricky Sapp, DE/OLB, Clemson 68 - Chiefs: BHA - Morgan Burnett, S, Georgia Tech The Steelers were good too ,Tebow pick could go either way but Haden and Tate very soild picks. 18 - Steelers: GTripp - Joe Haden, CB, Florida 52 - Steelers: GTripp - Tim Tebow, QB, Florida 82 - Steelers: GTripp - Ben Tate, RB, Auburn Also liked Rams,Bills, Giants ,and Texans. And thought that the biggest chance of a bust draft was Seattle ,Jimmy and Bruce could go either way. 6 - Seahawks: redskins5044 - Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame 14 - Seahawks: redskins5044 - Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland 40 - Seahawks: redskins5044 - Kyle Calloway, T, Iowa |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft

- Mays is a physical freak, but has been compared to Roy Williams part 2. He has coverage and open field tackling issues (not good for a FS). He could be a huge success, but could also be an Al Davis type player. - I had not seen Saffold listed as a potential first rounder. From what I saw he was w 2-3 rounder. Based on many team needs at OT and the depth in this draft, I expected Saffold to go maybe 10-15 picks higher than where you got him. It was a good pick, but not a great pick. - Lafell was projected as a second rounder, but has route running and hands concerns, I think some may have passed on him due to his poor Combine 40-time (4.59). But in the late third, a good pick. If I had to give a mock draft grade to Dallas it would be a solid F.....j/k B |
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
I think Jacksonville and Atlanta by far had the superior drafts.
|
Re: Warpath Mock Draft 2010 - Grade the Draft
Little suprised the Steelers took Tebow. They really didn't need to take a QB early in the draft. Ben Roethlisberger will play this season, Dixon, and Batch are very suitable backups.
