Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
I did this post, so that I could see what people were thinking, when it comes to who will start on the O-Line. This thread should be heat up, after the draft. Right now, I am going with Okung, Dockery, Rabach, Williams, and Heyer. I also have started to believe that they are thinking rinehart might be able to play right tackle.

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Oh God. Please not Heyer again. Hopefully, there is some sort of move that gets us a different RT. Maybe a cut? Maybe a trade for picks? Tis is too hard to predict going into this draft. I expect alot of movement in the next week.

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Not Heyer.
This new Coach and FO will see just what he never was. And the NFL Draft will turn up some starter(s) and some back-ups. UDFAs will help our depth. But not Heyer. NoNoNoNoNoNoNo! |

I am with you brother, but right now that is as far as I can see. Hey at least, I did not have Levi Jones at LT. |

good thread
hard to answer Okung Dockery Rabach Lichtenstreigher Fox |
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Okung, Dockery, Rabach, M. Williams, Flozell Adams
|
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Flozell, Dockery, Rabach, Hicks, Okung.
|
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
I am going to make a prediction right now. Regardless, of who we get Williams is our RG.
|
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Paintrain and I are thinking alike. I'm predicting Adams will continue to play LT and Okung will man the right side until needed on the left.

We have to sign him first. But if we draft Okung he starts at LT day one. |
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Flozell at LT, Dockery LG, Rabach at center, Williams with Hicks battling till statrt of the season at RG and T. Williams at RT...
I think that Williams is more of the type of o-lineman the Shanny likes... Okung is the type the old regime would get... not to say it is right or wrong!!!! Williams I hear is more raw and possibly has more upside in the long run...so if the Tackle we draft will man the Right Tackle then I believe it would be better to pick Williams . Then when he gets exp. he can man the LT spot.... fully realizing his talent and upside. What do you think of that reasoning? |

If his stamina has improved, I'm comfortable with that. |
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
This is almost an impossible game to play. I think we could have a guy none of us are even thinking about as a late round draft pick starting at RT or RG by the end of training camp. Also considering we don't have any real quality T at all on the roster those 2 postitions are completely up in the air. I just hope we have the best five guys we can put on the field come September.

I really want to see Rinehart in there.

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
So far Shanny seems happy with the middle being Dockery, Rabach, and Big Mike Williams. At least from the reports I hear. The tackles are probably not on the team right now and with the possibility of anything happening on draft day it's kinda hard to tell. Casserly is another one saying we're leaning toward T. Williams over Okung. There's also reports they're very high on Eric Berry. I think a lot depends on who ends up being cut.
|
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
I am not sold at all on Rinehart. Like I said in an earlier post, I want the staff to start the best five guys. The guys who can gell, excell in the running game and pass protection. That's all I want, an NFL starting caliber online.

Or a guy we trade for on draft day. Colon at RT and Okung, Williams at LT would be a real coup for the Skins. |

Yep. That wouldn't surprise me one bit. I'm expecting more action during the draft than a hot night in Vegas. |

The Eagles are high on Eric Berry and would like to trade up to get him. They would have to move a lot of slots, I wonder just how bad they want him. I don't think Hicks with his contract was brought in to be a back-up, so I'm going with Okung - Dockery - Rabach - Williams - Hicks. Ask me again four months from now. |
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Okung, Dock, Rabach, Hicks, Heyer
|
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Does anyone have any idea who was playing the line with Mcnabb today? That would give us some clue. But again none can tell. My hope is that the Redskins will have 3 picks in the first 2 rounds. This would help in any of us trying to find opening day starters.
How would you feel if this was our five? Williams, Dock, Rabach, Hicks, Colon. Of course you could switch the tackles. See I think the read dark hourse is a 3rd, 4th, or 5th round guy that none of us have heard of. Shanny has hit on some late round guys in the past, history has also been known to repeat itself. |
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
I must say though I don't know how we can acconplish this feat. Only by trading back in the first picking up someones one and 2, and trading AH for a second which I don't really want to do.
But 3 picks in rounds one and 2 or 3 is a nice thing to have in a draft this deep. As of now we may not need AH as much as we need to fill the roster wit more talent. I know I personally have been fixing my eye on oline, lb, and safety in the draft but there is always room for improvement at every position on a 4-12 team, other than qb and te IMO. |

Colon likes to leave big tips.

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
I think that there will be 1-2 guys that aren't currently on the roster starting, so kind of hard to say at the time. I think that Dockery and Rabach are locks
|
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Way too early to tell (hopefully) but I'll say Jammal Brown, Derrick Dockery, Kory L., Mike Williams, Trent Williams
(answer completely subject to change by this time next week) |

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
I would love a trade down in round #1 where we end up with Charles Brown plus another tackle prospect with the other trade down picks but I wouldn't predict it.
Its not what I want but my prediction would probably be: T Williams, Dock, Rabach, M Williams, Heyer. |
No Rabach?
I'm benching him in a shocker |
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Well that would be great because it would mean we would actually have a little depth.
|
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Okung, Dockery, Rabach, Rinehart, Hicks
I think we'll see a line that is a little more athletic than in the past. Having M.Williams and Flozell Adams on the right side would make for one glacially slow and ponderous tandem. |
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
We've only picked up ONE offensive lineman so far this offseason. Even if we get Okung, we're back to the crappy O-line we started with last year before before Samuels goes out. I think we're waiting until after the draft for a reason. I'm hoping that the 6+ teams that take the top OT's in the draft release some of their older overpaid linemen after the draft -- and then we snatch them up.
So since we haven't even started to bolster our O-line, and I predict there will be at least 2-3 names we don't know yet who are involved in this mix. Of course, Flozell may be an one of them.. |

Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
Williams/Okung, Dockery, Rabach, Williams, Heyer.
I'd really like to pick up a guy like Flozell Adams as a one season stop gap at right tackle I dont know a ton about Hicks, but from what I read it seems like he's more suited for gaurd, so I think him and Mike Williams will battle for that spot. I'd really like to get some competition in at center as well. |
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
T. Williams, Dockery, Rabach, Hicks, Heyer/ Draft pick
I'm not sold on Heyer, and Flozell starts 2 secs early every snap which would piss MS off. If we're lucky we get a 4th for JC, maybe a 3rd for Rocky and the Rams 3rd for AH. T.Williams at #4 might be a reach, but Shanahan likes to take risks and Williams fits his zone blocking scheme more than Okung. |

Mawae is available, I'd sign to a 1 year contract. |

How about this one
Bushrod Dockery Rabach Hicks Colon We draft eric berry trade campbell for Colon trade Andre Carter and Rocky McIntosh for Bushrod and a 3rd |
trade campbell for Colon
and some cocktails :) |
Re: Predict Our Five Starters On the O-Line
I really have no idea who the day one starting RT will be. I'm thinking that we're going to have to get pretty creative to figure it out; a trade of some sort.
