I would love to see Haynesworth traded for Ryan Clady
Denver is not sure if it wants to be a 4-3 or a 3-4. Whatever the case they can't stop the run. What are the chances of getting a young probowl albeit injured and out for most of the season tackle in Ryan Clady staight up for Haynesworth. I was hoping we wouldn't give Haynesworth up for nothing before the draft and I couldn't see Denver going for this straight up trade before Clady was injured. I know Mcdaniels wants his own player not Shanny's in the first place. On top of it he is probably pissed that Clady was injured in a non football related injury. I think that Haynesworth can really help us this year but if there is any truth to the rumors that Shanny would still like to send him packing I would love to see this happen. Shanny could get his tackle back sometime this season and get rid of some discontent however large or small in Haynesworth. We could have two book end tackles for the next decade if Williams works out. I'd send Denver Portis back on top of it. Just one of those shot in dark "would you" trades.

I would...............lock this thread up if I had the power.

no thanks

Re: I would love to see Haynesworth traded for Ryan Clady
Umm...what meth lab have you been visiting? Why would you ever think that trading AH for an "...albeit injured and out for most of the season..." player would be a good thing??

My God Jim,
I'm a doctor not an NFL GM! |

Couldn't agree more. Sorry but this is way to hypothetical to merit it's own thread. Plus I wouldn't start a thread like this so soon after a certain event that recently just happened that I don't feel like talking about. |
Re: I would love to see Haynesworth traded for Ryan Clady
AH isn't going anywhere bro. And Theres no way Denver would trade a top 5 LT for him anyway lol :benched:

Not so sure Clady will be a top 5'er after his surgery. |
Re: I would love to see Haynesworth traded for Ryan Clady
We should trade Brennan for Manning straight up. Peyton has been in Indi's offense for too long. They have a new coach, he's probably looking to change things up and put his stamp on the team. Sure, I'd love to have Pineapple Jesus for another year, but hey, if we can get the top QB in the league, that would great. Then we can trade McNabb to the Jets for Darrell Reevus straight up.
<sigh> |
Re: I would love to see Haynesworth traded for Ryan Clady
I can see us later in the season after Shanny or AH blow up at each other wishing we had of got something for him. I'm thinking long term. Long term AH isn't here. We are not winning a Superbowl this year with all the old 2004 probowlers we have acquired anyway. A injured probowl tackle is worth more than even the best DT which AH wasn't last year. The longer AH stays here the less we get for him and the less we get to build a football team.

Re: I would love to see Haynesworth traded for Ryan Clady
Ok, maybe we should add a rule that only people with 500 posts or more should be allowed to start posts.

Hey...careful there SBXVII !! |
Re: I would love to see Haynesworth traded for Ryan Clady
So half of you think we would be foolish to make this trade and half of you think Denver would be the foolish ones. That mean if Mcdaniels who is prone to kneejerk reactions went for this half of you should be happy about it.

What on earth makes you think they are going to blow up at each other? There has been only one thing, a "voluntary" work out. If all the players show up then great. If they don't who cares? Shanahan knew he could not force AH to be here. AH opted to excersize his right to not be here. Shanahan is cool with it, he even went so far as to say AH promises to come into manditory camp in excellent shape. Now if AH fails to do what he said he'd do then trade him. |

Wow...really? The blood is still being cleaned from Clady's scalpel and he hasn't even begun rehab yet and you believe he's worth more than AH?? |

No shit. Come on people, there used to be a banner in here that said this was the site for the "knowledgeable fan" let's act this way. If we couldn't get a f'ing 2nd rounder, no way in hell we're going to get a pro bowl young left tackle like Clady for Haynesworth. LOL. Not so much meant for you. All I can say is with all my posts I have yet found the need to start a thread. I just think some people should think twice prior to starting a new thread. |

Watch what you say about the Galloping Geriatrics. Not every team is blessed by a backfield full of AARP members. |

Which means he's a cancer to the Bronco's so why not trade a healthy AH who is not doing anything wrong with a player who was not doing anything wrong and got injured. Agreed. I know sometimes people become self-proclaimed thread police, but it just gets ridiculous (and tiring) in the offseason. Here's a hint. If your thread title is a long ass sentence, it is probably not a good idea. |
Re: I would love to see Haynesworth traded for Ryan Clady
Looks like we got our offseason thread for the Thread Hell section of this site. LOL.

The guy just tore his patella, so I don't think we want to acquire him!!!!!!!! |
Re: I would love to see Haynesworth traded for Ryan Clady
Really...? That would probably be the dumbest trade in the 2010 off season in the entire NFL.
Retarded. |

If you were Knowlegeable about about football injuries and positions I wouldn't be worried about Cladys long term ability. Thx for the couple constructive grownup responses though. |

It sure would be dumb now. The dumbass tore his patella playing a pickup game of basketball. See link on my post #24 for details.

Oh man, where was this during the "let's trade Campbell straight up for Chris Simms"? LOL. |

I wonder why the hell Trent Williams is even on the team.

With all due respect BR, I am far from an expert in sports injuries, and I believe most here welcome everyone's comments and thoughts of all things recent with the Redskins. But, from initial reports this sounds like a potential long term recovery for Clady and your suggestion for a Haynesworth trade is probably a bit of a stretch...just sayin' |

It may be a bit of a of a stretch or we may be wishing at some point this season we could get that proverbial "ham sandwich". Tryfuhl you may not be "knowledgeable" as far as football goes but you have a talent it seems. Good job.
French toast or Swedish pancakes for me. Not the pan stuff, the old school Swedish pancakes that are like crepes.
Directions for making crepes: 1.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs. Gradually add in the milk and water, stirring to combine. Add the salt and butter; beat until smooth. 2.Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each crepe. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly. 3.Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side. Serve hot immediately after Clady for Haynesworth trade. |

The thick pan stuff is nice also, but nothing compared to the thin old style. As for AH for Clady, I think that is a no brainer. He is out for most of the year, plus if we couldn't dumb AH for some second rounders, nobody is going to bite. IF his contract wasn't half of what it is he would probably have been traded last Saturday along with JC. |
