Law & Over
My wife will be crushed
Series is 'Law & Over' - NYPOST.com Is this show always on or is it just me? I'm really surprised they don't have a Law & Order channel. I'm guessing another channel will pick it up and it will continue on. |

Re: Law & Over
Yeah one version or another is always on, either TNT or Sleuth. I like the reruns more than watching originals, same with NCIS
|
Re: Law & Over
Law and Order is an easy show to watch in reruns because it's not really a serial. So you can flip it on while at the gym, or cooking, or posting on a message board. And then watch it 8 months later and not really miss a beat. I generally prefer SVU to the original. Criminal Intent is ok, and the other one (Trial by Jury?) was kind of a flop.
It's been a primetime staple for NBC for 20 years though so it will be different to see it gone |

Re: Law & Over
The thing that makes this show great is that some of its stories are based on real cases...endless material. I guess people will still have CSI: [whatever].
|
Re: Law & Over
yea my father in law loves that shit. when he stays with us it's always on and we're like "hurry up before dad gets sucked into another episode."
and seems like there's 12 of these shows... L&O, CSI and all the spinoffs. all the same. and yes it is ALWAYS on. and yet i never catch any marathon reruns of the West Wing. loved that show. |

Re: Law & Over
my girl is absoltely in love with law n order. we own every freakin season of every freakin spin off.
it comes on all the time, right now you could find 2 different stations playing an episode. why the freak does she have to own every year? seriously, its just so she can line up in order every law and order season, next to chronlogically organized svu, etc. our dvd case is ridiculous. oh well, i thank law n order for providing me many many hours GF babysitting time so i can play madden or watch sports. |
Re: Law & Over
What's up with women's love fest with L&O, CSI and shows about Vampires? My woman is all over that shit. I don't get it.

I caught the tail end of Oprah yesterday (wife has it on when I get home) and she had the cast of Twilight on. They did a piece about these middle aged moms who are all into the series. Definitely very weird and a little creepy to see 35+ year old women going ga-ga and sweatin' a 17 year old kid... that Taylor dude. |
Re: Law & Over
seriously seriously wtf is up with that shit? last night i was trying to sleep (11:30) and my girl just had to watch the oprah show on the internet to see the twillight oprah show yesterday. she was laughin, crying. i was crying.
she re-reads all the twilight crap, now is reading this suki stackhouse series aobut vampires. she owns the forks documentary. i think it gives women a modern/new twist to the love novels. but i said this before andill say it again, twillight gets you some serious nookie. there would be times i would be sleeping, shes reading twillight, then i wake up to her doing you know what to my you know what. sometimes she calls for a twilight saturday where all she does is lay in bed, smoke teh good smoke, and read and watch twillight. its pretty freakin awesome. fellas, use this infatuation to your benefit. |

A couple nights of watching Idol and DWTS (uugh) with her gets me all the NFL, ND Football and Celtics when they're on.....and she'll usually watch too. |

The carpet is the pubes. the saying you are looking for is "does the carpet match the drapes" |

the saying you are looking for is "does the carpet match the drapes"
It was a quote in reference to a movie but I cannot think of the name right now. Was it Observe and Report???? |

Nah that would make us sound like pedophiles. Edit: I think its because it seems like she has no limits or standards anymore. It's like if the mechanical car outside of the grocery store no longer had a coin slot and all you had to do was push the button to ride...would you? No because everybody else has and you know that you could do it at any time; there is no prerequisite so you do not bother. |

Re: Law & Over
I love the early episodes of Law and Order with Paul Robinette (Richard Brooks) and Ben Stone (Michael Morrity) as the District Attorney's. Then you had Chris North and even Paul Sorvino of Goodfellas fame playing a detective for a season. Also back then they had Cragen as captin.
They'd always try to make deals for manslaughter with the criminals. Like "Man One, but he does the max." Then the criminal would say no and they'd go back to the District Attorneys office where Adam Schiff would always talk about the worst case scenario in a monotone voice "you'll never get a jury to buy it." After that they brought in "Jack McCoy", the most made for TV name I've ever seen, and after that it stays decent but for me nothing compares to those early episodes. They also had Jill Hennessey and Jason Sehorns wife as future assistant D.A's. Still it was a 20 year run so it's not surprising to see the initial one fizzle out. Besides SVU is easily the most popular version of the franchise, I think thanks to the continuity of the Core Cast (Ice T, Munch, Cragen, Olivia, Stabler). |

Some people can just remember almost everything that they read or hear. It comes in handy when I'm tuning out my wife then she says "you're not even listening to me" and then I spit out the last paragraph that she just said. It shuts her right up. |
