Sad, sad day[/quote] I just recall a lot of people predicting it for the next Golden Girl to pass. |
Re: R.I.P. Rue "Blanche" McClanahan from Golden Girls
Betty is still going strong. She was great on SNL a few weeks ago.

RIP Blanche....
People seem to be dropping like flies...we'll probably need a single obituary thread soon. |

Didn't realize you had replied so quickly. I had removed the link because I didn't want to divert the thread from Hopper and I figured someone would start a thread soon enough |
Re: R.I.P. Rue "Blanche" McClanahan from Golden Girls

Re: R.I.P. Rue "Blanche" McClanahan from Golden Girls

Re: R.I.P. Rue "Blanche" McClanahan from Golden Girls
As a freshman in college, Friday Nights from 5-6 were Drinking Golden Girls. Afterwards, we'd all stumble to the dining hall drunk, and be we I mean me, my roommate and our 4 female friends. Because if it weren't for them, there was no way in hell I was watching the Golden Girls alone, or sober ;) I usually put down a 6 pack before eating, taking a nap, then drinking the rest of the night. If I tried that now, I'd pass out half way through dinner and get up on a Tuesday.
So between Gary, Dennis and Rue, the trifecta is complete. Wonder who will start the next one? |

Re: R.I.P. Rue "Blanche" McClanahan from Golden Girls
Betty White is now the only GG to be alive. All three women, first Estelle Getty in 2008, Bea Arthur in 2009, and Rue now all died back to back, in three years!

Bummer that these 80s TV stars are dying off. Just another reminder of how quickly life goes by.
