Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
The rumors start...
NFL Rumors - NFL Trade Rumors, Free Agency Rumors and More - Rumor Central - ESPN

ESPN: Albert Haynesworth Headed To Seattle Seahawks AUTHOR: Andrew Auger | IN: Seahawks | COMMENTS: 2 Comments If you visit the NFL page on ESPN, the headline is there: “Haynesworth Headed To Seahawks” Plenty of speculation has centered around the Seahawks being a suitor for the disgruntled defensive tackle. There are no sources confirming a deal is in place, just a headline, calling it how I see it. The LenDale White release all started with a headline and no sufficient evidence to immediately support it. Something could be updated within the hour just like it was then; insider is generally diligent in updating the news wire. If this deal does indeed go down, it means they are likely out of the running for Bills running back Marshawn Lynch if there was even a chance they could get him in the first place. Regardless of your opinion on how Haynesworth has whined about playing nose tackle in a 3-4 after being payed $30 million for a season; he is still a game changing top five defensive tackle who would come to the Seahawks with a ridiculously reasonable $5.3 million salary over the next three seasons. If he dons the blue and green next year, be content, embrace it, and say hello to the best player on the Seahawks roster. The best player! What, have you been smoking crack?

Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
Who else would be Remember?
|
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
I can only tell you who would have the worst attitude, be the most disruptive in the locker room and play the least amount of downs and games.
|
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
I don't care where he goes just get his ass outta here asap
|
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
Seattle would be great because that's just about as far away as they could send him.
|
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
It's going to be good for everyone concerned when this distraction reaches it's final conclusion. This whole Haynesworth ordeal has done so much damage to what otherwise has been an off-season of optimism and hope. Whatever the decision on Haynesworth, as long as it includes him gone I'll be satisfied with.

Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
Hopefully the compensation will more than nominal. AH is worthy of a couple 1st rd picks...we won't get that sadly but i'm hoping for a 1st.
|
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
maybe an "Oakland first" aka 2 years out
|
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
Here's hoping we can fleece the Seahawks out of something nice for him. I can't remember the last time we were involved in a trade and somebody said we made out like bandits. Pete Carroll is an idiot too so a guy can hope.
|
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
This is too funny!!!!!!! Some folks thought he was going to stick it out and now his ass is going to Seattle. I hope the Goat is right, that we get a first rounder for him, but the truth is we probably won't get that. THe guy's pricetag is very steep, so we might have to settle with a second rounder or two. This will teach Snyder a lesson on how big an idiot he is.

Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
I'm guessing any pick we get would be conditional on lardass actually producing somewhere else.
As we didn't actually give up any picks to get him, anything we get in return would be a bonus. |
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
I still will always love Haynesworth for standing up with Hall against the Falcons and Giants. I was really impressed by that.

I have to admit I did like that. I remember seeing all the Falcon players swarming D-Hall and then Haynesworth comes in and suddenly everyone is moving back. [YT]BI0uJZqr9Us[/YT] |

I think that's what hurts the most he was a team player then where has that all gone. |
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
Yeah I don't know what happened, but I loved it, he was like the big brother when that happened because as you could tell, nobody really stood up. I mean sure, Hall probably shouldn't have gotten in that situation, but when the whole team was surrounding him, our players should have been there to help him out, they came, but did nothing really, then you see them all go back when Haynesworth used the one as a bowling ball.

Yeah I wont lie a would really love to have AH kill for us this year but it just seems unrepairable right now and its all his fault. |
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
What I hate about this "rumor" is it is complete speculation. It was a "rumor" on insider yesterday and has grown legs from there.
A$$H would be a good fit in Seattle; some other "rumor" that was pure speculation came true so this one should be true too. No reports or info from either team about any such transaction. He won't go to the NFC East or to a team in the 3-4 (more than likely). That leaves a handful of teams where he can possibly land. The Vikings were the "rumor" last week, Seattle this, someone else next. Keep throwing shit at a wall long enough and eventually somebody will say it looks like Elvis. Some so called journalist is going to claim they had it right from the start, but this is just crap. |
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
It makes sense. Id like Josh Wilson out of the deal. Of course Id rather send him St. Louis, because I am convinced they are the worst.

Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
Shanahan and Allen are smart enough to know that while AH might be a pain in the a$$, he is still a premier defensive player. I'm confident given their recent dealings that the Redskins will get, at the very least, fair trade value for him.
Now, if we could just have that $21 million back to sign Brown and Silverback.... |

He's still the top 4-3 DT in football...worth at least a 1st rd pick. I'll be shocked if we get it for him considering all the other factors. |

Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
We wont get anything for him. The team/Shanahan has spoken and he said if AH gives back the 21mill they will let him go. I think this is AH's agent trying to get him set up with another deal.
|
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
Wow...unbelievable. I can't even imagine a scenario under which he is in a Redskins Jersey at any point anymore this year.
|
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
It's not that we don't won't Haynesworthless, but no one does. He's toxic and now he's blown his cover. He'd better stretch the hell out of that $21 million, because his big paydays are over.
|
Re: Rumor: Haynesworth Headed to Seattle?
Yeah..if you think about it, this is going to hurt him in the long run. He already had a bad reputation before and this just puts an even bigger red flag on him. He'll get work somewhere, he's too talented not to but he'll never see a good payday again.

Unfortunately this is incorrect. I wish you where right but not so. This fat lazy bastard has already cashed in for no work. So there are many teams interested as they don't have a HUGE financial obligation (we already took care of that) OR won't get robbed like we have. And the contracts will or should be worded accordingly just for this jackass. You have the Lions, Seattle, Titans, Rams any of these teams just to name a few would love to have fat ass, low risk for low cash for a solid player if he only wants to be. To be determined. Bottom line get this cancer leaking fat bitch outta DC ASAP. Maybe we can get a middle round pick or a player for this retard, at this point something beats a blank. |
