Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Video Games - Madden 11 Ratings - ESPN
Overall not bad. A few of my minor gripes: Cooley an 89? He should be above 90. Fred Davis is too low at 76, I would put him at an 80 at least. Where's Jammal Brown? Not a huge deal as I'm sure he'll be on the roster when the game comes out, or with the first update at the worst. He'll make a big difference on the OL. Big Mike Williams is really overrated with an 80. I would put him closer to 70. I would switch ratings with Doughty and Horton. Horton seems to still be living off his reputation from his rookie year. |
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
For what Haynesworth is being paid, shouldn't we at least get a stud Madden player? An 86? Seriously?

I would bet that's because he's listed as a DE. If you move him to DT his rating would probably go up. Same if you move Orakpo to DE. I don't care what he wants AH is playing the nose in my D. :) |
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
lol @ having to enter a 12 button combo just to get haynesworth out the tunnel.
|
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Who is C. Oldenburg on the OL?
Where is Capers and Cook? Madden never quite gets the rookies right. Also is Landry really an 89 after last years performances. He got burnt like toast! |

An interception can hit him in the helmet, and he will be looking a the receivers feet. |
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Landry - Tackling an 80??? His Play Rec is right at a 61
Brennan - Accuracy and 84??? Higher than McNabb???? Just a couple of minor gripes. Overall I like the new rating system unveiled last year. |

Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
This is pretty depressing to look at. We suck.
|
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
I don't think the roster looks that bad at all, middle of the road kind of team
|
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Well I don't like to look at the Madden roster as the final 53 of the Real Redskins, and it never takes in account the break out players for which none of us know. Also with out Jamaal Brown and without knowing what we have in TW yet this isw more of a fantasy deal then anything of actual fact.
Madden is cool and fun, but is not a very good indication of how teams may fare year in and year out. |

Landry is a very good strong safety, but free safety he is bad. I think this rating is because madden believes he'll be a strong safety with us. |
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Yeah...lot of unknowns on this team. I mean, how do we know that DT, MK and FD aren't studs with McNabb throwing to them?
Jammal Brown, Trent Williams, Orakpo in the new system...next year's should be a lot closer to the actual ones. But then again, this is a video game |

Yes they do, eh... Madden ratings are always kinda of a joke IMO

Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Game has been sucking for the past 5 years IMO. Wish they would actually work on things, like the tackling etc. I like that the stadiums are nice and all, but I mean, it's more about the game. I'm tired of seeing the same three tackles for the most part.
Speaking of stadiums, wonder if they'll have the updated screens and party decks. |
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
These ratings aren't very good or representative of where the actual talent on the Redskins is, though the guys who make the game actually have done a pretty good job of projecting the talent accurately league-wide. They could account for this if players could choose to develop low rated bench warmers into starters by playing them, but low rated players tend to stay low rated players.
The Madden game engine is still incredibly flawed and the passing system doesn't scale with difficulty (they make it more frustrating: as your raise the skill level, your players get worse. The defense never gets better). There's enough modern bells and whistles to make it enjoyable for a few plays, but I just can't get into Madden anymore. |

While they're not completely wrong, think about how many players they have to rate. Multiply it by the number of different things they are rated on etc. To think that the rating is anything more accurate than a +/- 10 of what a player's relative worth in the league is stupid. |
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Ratings are so subjective. One person's 85 is another's 80. I just think it's fun to talk about. I know some people get all fired up about it, but it's really silly since they end up getting updated as the season goes on.

This is my biggest gripe with Madden, but I think it applies to the running game as well. On All-Madden difficulty, guys rarely hold a block, break a tackle or catch a pass. It's still possible to dominate, but it's so frustrating when your entire offensive line of 90+ guys collapses on every play. So, I just play it on All-Pro. I usually win by a margin of 80+, but now it's more about godly stats and than actually winning. My biggest win was 150-0 (against the Cowboys), I have thrown for over 1,000 yards in a single game, and I have tallied 15 sacks by a single player in a single game (all on All-Pro). Anyone else have some crazy achievements? |

The one I am most proud of was most kickoff returns for TDs in a game. I would let them score on their first touch to get in as many attempts as possible. I think I got like 9 in a game. |
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Alot of talk about nothing. Remember three or four years ago when Ethan Albright was the lowest rated player in the game. LOL..

Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Hi, John, my name is Ethan Albright.
I play line for the Washington Redskins. You probably already knew that, so I’ll continue. I am writing in regards to the overall player rating of 53 that I have received in Madden NFL Football 2007. I feel that this is f**king bullsh!t and you should kiss my mother-f**king a$$. Ahmed Carroll was rated a 78 and the Packers just cut his ass on a Tuesday morning after his performance in a Monday night game. That is pretty terrible. The worst part is that his overall rating was sniffing 80. You know what, John? Two can play this game. I rate you a ****ing 12. I rate you a ****ing 12 in Ethan Albright Football 2000-ever… except for in the category of ball-licking. That is where I will spot you a 98 rating. You will receive this score because I will never give your blubbery ass a 99 in any category. Take that, pencil-d!ck. Go do Al Michaels or something. Boom. Score one for Red Beard. |
Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Every year a Madden comes on I manage to run across someone posting that.

Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
Well it is a timeless rant that is still very funny.

Re: Madden 11 player ratings: Redskins
dont the player ratings update thru the playstation network every week now???? so, if one player truly has a breakout season, it reflects that in this years madden, instead of having to wait until the next season.
I like that part of madden now, but you have to have a broadband network for it to work, or else you keep the original ratings............... |
