Whomever this guy is, I like the way he thinks.
I don't see the Eagles and Giants winning 9 games each though. |
Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
Ross is my new favorite...........

Also played for Buffalo and the Patriots. His writing is honest and direct, usually from the perspective of a former player. I don't know what his prognostication skills are, but he calls is like he sees it. |

Let's hope he's right

Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
He has a point with Anthony Armstrong having to step up. He Can be a huge playmaker for us in the regular seasons to come.

Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
Ross Tucker is one of my favorite NFL commentators. He is knowledgeable, balanced, and clear.
However, all of that does not make him a soothsayer, but I hope he is correct. |
Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
Eh. Jon Gruden thinks we'll win less than 8. Everyone's got a prediction. I think it's a stretch to go from 4-12 to 10-6. I don't think a lot of people realize how rare those kind of one season turnarounds are.
Great read from Thomas Boswell on just how rare those kind of big turnarounds are: washingtonpost.com |

They can be just as good as a 2-14 team or a 6-10 team. Now if he wants to start breaking down strength of schedule in both years, strength of additions, etc then I'll start listening. Not saying that he won't end up being right, but to try to make a science out of it with just those two constants (coach change, 4-12 record) and a shitton of other variables is a bit irresponsible. Maybe not irresponsible, but it ignores a lot. |

I hear you, but he's using such a large sample size with his comparisons, I think it probably averages out. |
Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
It could, wouldn't mind being the exception rather than the rule however.

Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
Finally some good news/thoughts.

Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
I don't think the Eagles are 9-7 this year. Kolb has looked like GARBAGE.
|
Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
Haha, who cares how rare they are ... most if not all preseason predictions are usually off base. It was just nice to see something so gleamingly positive written about the Redskins by someone not on this board.

Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
Must have had too much Kool-Aid!
We will do well if we can double our win output. He must not be looking at our opponents. On the other part of the page, Peter King likes us so much, he fails to talk about the B&G. |
Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
Ross Tucker, John Clayton, and Antonio Pierce are all drinking the same redskins kool aid. I like it! And Agree with them.
|
Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
I think we could potentially win 10 but we would need a few breaks, that being said i think we will be a top 5 D and a top 10 O

Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
I feel sooo much better! Here's Jason LaCanfora's take on Kolb:
"Jason La Canfora gives the Eagles 10 wins: 'Kevin Kolb is going to be a star. If the OL was more settled I'd like their chances more. Dick Jauron should bring consistency to secondary.'" Re: Ross Tucker picks Redskins to go 10-6
I would be thrilled with 8-8.
