Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
First of all Jay Cutler is a stud and you can bitch all you want about his INTs, but this guy knows how to elevate his game and get the ball to his receivers for huge plays. He knows how to put the ball in a good spot for his receiver and he can play "faster" without "rushing".
Bears have a godawful oline that's worse than ours and their TE and RBs are crappy pass blockers. That was compensated for by their Oline. Mike Martz made adjustments that ultimately won them the game. He realized that his 5- and 7-step drop plays were doomed to failure and began calling quicker developing plays to help out Cutler. The TD pass to Greg Olsen was one of those. |
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
They beat Dallas, they are AWESOME (at least for this week)
|
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
Umm, ok
|
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
I know this week we all were Bears fans just like we were Lions and Colts fans but I'm begining to get the feeling the OP is a closet Bears fan...... come on SirClintonPortis, admit it.
Shouldn't this thread be moved to the Bears forum? |
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
My wife is Bears fans so I say Jay Cutler can suck the fuziies from my butt crack and we're going to kick his a$$ on 10/24.

Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
Yesterday, I was a Bears fan (also).
Today, back to not caring about them. |
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
Was impressed with the way Martz systematically attacked a weakness in the Cowboys defense with his passing game. I'm impressed with the way the Bears ran the ball.
Thought Cutler played really well in spite of everything happening in front of him, though the passing game was just mediocre overall. No interceptions thrown was a big reason why the Bears won. |

I like Cutler more than McNabb, joined his official facebook fan page and was the only qb fan page I had on there until I added McNabb's fan page. I can't name most of the players on their roster. |
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
^ You're insane. Cutler over McNabb? :cheeky-sm

Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
Since Reid is married to Kolb (via McNabb trade), what's the likelyhood that Vick plays elsewhere next year since he's on a one year deal with the Eagles?
|
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
Well you got the title correct.

I predict Kolb will play his way out of his "entitlement", Reid will be fired and Vick will be their starter next season. |

That's one helluva a prediction. Either way, Vick is playing his way into a nice contract next year. |

Cutler makes the throw to Galloway, just like he tossed it to Knox. |

Not to call you out but this is the classic case of someone passing something off without defending their opinion.. Cutler showed a lot |
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
jay cutler is my fantasy QB, glad he got what the cowboys wanted...another loss.

Wow a little hostility there Alvin. Everything going ok with the Mrs? |
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
Everything is fine, just good old sports rivalry within the family. We both have lived in Chicago so she hates that I hate the Bears but I was raised in Virginia so I have remained loyal to the burgundy and gold since before 1970.

Cutler is riding the High's of a SUPERIOR....one game trend..............

You see, data collection in sports is incomplete because the cost of time in watching football is too high for the general public. Cutler has always had impressive accuracy, arm strength, and ability to make plays, but people point to his NFL.com stats to prove that those things are "nonexistent" when it is actually "lost in translation to stats". |
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
The Bears are reminding me of the Broncos last year, one fluke play and they were 4-0 (the Stokely TD). The dropped TD by Megatron may have given them the boost into the 2nd week.

Almost a whole season later and I still stand by my statement. Now that no one is wearing homer glasses for McNabb...who is better...should be obvious. Gradkowski better win out next year in Oakland or else my Grads>Campbell stuff would be all for naught. |
Re: Brief incoherent post about the Bears for week 2
The Bears are a POS team that got nice bounces here and there. They will be one and fcking done....any of you donkeys that want to take that bet holla at. Cutler is a POS QB and Mike Martz is a dumbshit who keeps getting recycled for some odd reason.

Predicting that a team is one and done and wanting a team to be one and done are two different things. Though it's not hard to understand your frustration. Bears get away with trading draft picks for a franchise QB, a patchwork O-Line, and no big name receivers. They also play a 4-3 a defense that most people would kill to have us play right now. Plus bringing in a big time offensive genius has paid immediate dividends for them. They do everything we do expect in their case it's working. Oh yeah, before I forget they shelved out big time money for a D-Lineman and so far have gotten a return on their investment. We on the other hand ended up with Haynesworth. |
