Bye Week Games Thread

Well, well, it seems like Detroit is leading the Jets early on.

And Arian Foster is beasting early today.

Josh Freeman with a beautiful TD pass to Arrelious Benn. Kid is going to be a star.

Miami's O-line actually stonewalled Baltimore's 3 man or 4 man rush for once. We've never been able to pull that off...

So Detroit loses their kicker, and Nadomukong Suh of all people went on to kick an extra point. Sadly, he's no Ocho.

Colt got some underrated wheels and is definitely a playmaker. Browns made a good choice.

Rian Lindell has finally missed an extra point.

Sick tip-toeing by Michael Spurlock on his kickoff return for a TD.

I really thought Colt would have made a good Shanny QB...have him learning under McNabb

I really enjoy when the Hoody gets beat by someone he dispises like the Mangenusis...and you know the Hoody hates that nickname

Stafford will be the Detroit pro football version of Grant Hill, great upside and talented but always injured! Of course he can't go out in our game

And how bout this steve Johnson kid?

Damn Arizona. You had a 24-10 lead in the 4th and you blew it, and you blew it hard. This could be the win that saves Minny's season. And if the Jets come back to beat Detroit I'll be disappointed. I'm hoping Detroit wins so they get a little more credibility with Stafford at the helm.

I can't believe the Jets and Minny came back to beat the Lions and Cards. I was rooting for the Lions and Cards to win and they both blew it.

The Giants are just steamrolling the Seahawks....

Unfortunately, I think they're the best team in the NFC.

it's so hard to say isn't it? but they really are heads and shoulders above the rest of the nfc right now, it just took a few games for them to get going as usual. what really sucks is we haven't played them once yet this year

Ha! me too. damn it Rex Ryan...I was kinda hoping the Cards would blow out the Vikings just to continue the soap opera As The Vikings Turn. Chilly prob woulda been fired if it happened.

And by the way you Sig is a classic

Yeah, I'll second that. They are at the top of their game right now. Hopefully another late season collapse is in the works.

I hope Collie is Ok but that hit was 100% clean. I don't know about anyone else but I'm just so damn tired these terrible calls.

I agree. CBS reporting its just a concussion... which given what it could have been, is a relief.

The NFL rules makers and Refs are ruining this game!

1) The refs just gave a 15 yard personal foul in the Eagles vs Colts game. On 4th and 18 Peyton Manning's helmet was grazed by an Eagle defensive lineman after an incomplete pass. That should have ended the game. The ref's have to figure it out. There is intent to injure and there is incidental contact. Figure it out idiot refs.
2) Arian Foster TD was called in incomplete after the review. Really bad Call.

There were several other bad calls this week.

this is one of those weeks where every game went against what we needed. eagles win, giants win, bears win, saints win. next weeks game for us is an absolute must win, or we are out of playoff contention realistically.

Re: Bye Week Games Thread

Eagles and Giants won again today, we're really gonna have to play better after the bye if we expect to catch up to them. Eagles lookin really good beating the Colts and the Giants just dominated Seattle. Looks like the second half is going to be as hard as the first half of the schedule, and we didn't do ourselves any favors losing to the Lions and Rams.

Campbell got bailed out by Jacoby Ford, but those kind of drives were something he didn't do here.

Props to JC but honestly I don't think it matters who the QB Is right now for Oakland, they are just catching all the brakes and are hot at the same time

How about Oakland with a 3 win streak. Looks like that streak of 7 straight years of 10 more losses is over. It's nice to see Campbell doing good in Oakland now, even though they still might go back to Gradkowski once he's healthy again.

Seymour was a great addition to the d-line. Don't remember the last time the Coliseum had been rocking like that.

Pretty ironic that the week after McNabb gets benched in the final two minutes with the game on the line, Jason Campbell leads the Raiders to a miracle win with first a game tying drive at the end of regulation, then a game winning drive in OT. I'm happy for Campbell, and hope that he continues to develop for Oakland.

CultBrennan59 11-07-2010 09:19 PM

Re: Bye Week Games Thread

Campbell's just filling in for Gradkowski until he returns. So don't get all hyped up over Jason, he'll be warming the bench soon.
