Yay or nay on the socks, what do you guys think? I saw Taylor wearing them too.

I loved the socks. At first I thought the whole team was wearing them, not just Portis. I was like hell yeah, they should rock these uniforms every week. Then I noticed it was just Portis and Taylor. I would love to see how Burgandy from top to bottom would look on the Skins.

Yeah, Portis even said he plans on getting fined. He says he dosent like the white socks... thinks it brings bad luck. LOL

He may be right, Gmac! I used to love Portis' blazing orange shoes in Denver. I can't believe they're going to fine him for burgandy socks. It's not like it's straying from the uniform THAT MUCH. Hell, Snyder should pay the fines if it means wins! Or just change the uniforms!

I say they were them as long as they keep playing like they did today.

If you're going to go burgundy with the socks, at least go burgundy with the shoes, too. It just looks funny with burgundy socks and white shoes.

Big time fan of the look. Keep 'em. Hell go buy 400 pair and hand 'em out to evereyone except Brunell(don't want anyone thingking they'd make him play better). Lets start a petition to make them part of the official uniform.

Loved the socks. The whole team should wear'em. Hey, they brought some good luck - make'em the "rally caps" for the team.

BTW - What is the uniform rule on socks? As someone said earlier, he was wearing team colors.

Solid socks aren't part the standard Redskins uniform so he'll likely face a $5000 fine from the uniform police of the NFL.

If the team was to change it's uniform that would be fine, but I think that's something that needs to be decided on before the season starts.

I could care less what socks he wore. Hell they could've been hot pink for all I care. As long as he produces, it doesn't matter what he wears. Shoot he could go out there and look Torry Holt in the ballerina outfit.......as long as he runs like that it doesn't matter to me.

I think that after a player gets the nominal fine for their first offense, the league steps up the fine dramatically. So unless Portis wants to pay $40k a game to wear burgundy socks, he either needs to wear white socks or get the whole team to wear burgundy socks.

As long as they play like they did yesterday, I really could care less what they are wearing! They'll get fined, but I think they can afford it...;)

The socks were straight... but only for players from the U !!!

I went to the game yesterday, and noticed at one point, Sean Taylor had One Burgundy Sock and One White Sock, then towards the end of the game , both socks were burgundy..... interesting

It was halloween, 11th grade.

The funniest thing about it was that when the teacher said it was hilarious and he should have thought of that, Daseal pulls ANOTHER dress out of his backpack (apparently you should always carry a spare). He and the teacher then got their picture taken together in dresses. I don't think it ever made it to the yearbook, but I'm pretty sure I've got a picture of it somewhere.
