Who do you want to see in the SB?
Now that it is down to 8 teams, and every team (except maybe the Seahawks) has a legitimate shot, what is your preferred SB match up? Why?
I am pulling for a Pittsburgh Packers SB, because (and I know it's petty) I think it would send at least half the Cowboys fans over the edge of insanity to have to watch either of those two teams win in their house! Truly watching JJ preside over a Pittsburgh win would give me more joy than any other possible SB matchup. |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Why dont the hawks have a chance?? They Out-Dueled NO, and the way they played they could beat anyone right now.
I'd like to see the SeaHawks at least reach the superbowl...they dont have to win... |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Packers vs Pats
|
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
I cant root for anyone in the NFC except Washington and I really despise the Jets so I'd like to see New England go all the way, partially because Brady is from Michigan.
I think it will be Atlanta VS New England with the Pats winning easily. |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Seahawks on the road are a different team. I don't see them making any sort of serious run at the SB.
Right now I'm rooting for anyone other than the Pats and Steelers. |

With that said, I could see them beating Chicago on the road, and the Pack at home. No way they beat Atlanta if they have to go there. If the Hawks beat the Pack in Seattle, I would be in favor of the NFL designating the Falcons the NFC Champions! :cheeky-sm |

^ definitely. |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Jets - Bears.

Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
As soon as the Ravens are erased I don't care who makes it.
|
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Well, let's see:
Bears: Blackhawks and Bears champions? Put Chicago back on the sports map? Maybe Seahawks: Shock the world with a losing team in the SB? Perhaps Falcons: Arguably the best team in the NFC, have friends on the team. Yes Packers: Arguably the other best team. Great organization and fan base. Get to see the Packers in the SB the same year as all this Favre drama (again). Yes Patriots: Best team in the NFL. Cement their place as a dynasty with another win. Yes Jets: J-E-T-S. Jets Jets Jets!. Helllll yeah!!!! Steelers/Ravens: No and No So...down to Packers/Falcons vs. Jets/Patriots. I'm rooting for the Jets and Packers but I think we'll see Falcons and Patriots. Good question |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Falcons - Ravens
From the NFC, I don't like Packers or Bears, and the Cinderella Seahawks won't make it that far. In the AFC, I don't like the Jets, and am bored by the idea of the Pats and Steelers winning yet again. Therefore, Falcons vs. Ravens |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Brady's hair will win it all!
|
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Anyone but New England.
My pick - Ravens vs. Falcons Ravens win. |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
anyone but new england and their legion of hardcore fans that have all been around since 2000.
|
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
I want to see Baltimore - Chicago
I think it's going to be Atlanta - New England I wanted to see Washington - Baltimore There'll be no parade for the Redskins but, hail!!! anyway. |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Ravens vs Falcons
I would be happy with either team winning. |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Green Bay v NE would be a good one.
Balt v Chic would be horrible IMO. I'm still not sold on Atl for some reason. Chic/Sea I think are a joke compared to AFC teams (sea obviously). |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Anyone but Baltimore, but I don't think I'm going to be that lucky.
I guess I'd have to go with New York vs GB/ATL (I don't really care which) |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
J-E-T-S!!!!! JETS!JETS!JETS! vs WHoever!! And im not even a foot guy!!
|
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Seattle because everybody be hatin' (for good reason) and I guess the Jets because I'd rather not see the Patriots, Ravens or Steelers.
|
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
packers or falcons vs. ravens. I hate the patriots as much as the cowpies!
|
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
A Pittsburgh/Seattle rematch.

I think there's still some bad blood on Seattle's part because they think they were robbed last time. That could make for an interesting game. |

Yeah but Seattle is mostly a different team now. I'd be curious to see how much of that SB roster is left. |

Amen to that! They were the 4th most popular pro team in Boston by a mile before 2000. |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
From AFC anyone but Pats. Really wish Indy would have won.
NFC: Packers, Falcons, Seahawks would be fine. I'd cheer for the Bears but I don't want to see the 10000 "what-if" posts here about Cutler. so I guess... Ravens - Pack |

Jets

The problem with Seattle is while it could be a fun story that the losing team keeps winning...they will lose by 50 to the AFC and ruin the Super bowl. I don't want them ruining championship Sunday or the Super Bowl when they crash and burn...and that will happen it's just a matter of when. |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Falcons vs. Patriots
- Don't like the Jets or "Sanchise" (overrated) - Seahawks....a 7-9 team in the SB...ugh. - Don't want to listen the the "Sixburgh" fans come up with a new slogan for 7 SBs. - Can't stand Ravens fans, don't really mind the team. - Don't like da Bears, but having NE put a nice revenge ass-whoopin' on them would be pretty fun to watch. - Packers would be OK, plus seeing Rogers win a SB would be a good shot at Mr. Ego, Favre. |
Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
Packers vs. Patriots
I picked the Packers to win the Super Bowl before the season, and I really believe that they will advance this weekend. New England is clearly playing at a high level. It would be a great matchup with perhaps the two best QBs in the game. |

A lot of them just waiting for baseball to start. |

Re: Who do you want to see in the SB?
I, personally, would like to see a Green Bay VS New England Super Bowl. Would like to see Rodgers win it all to rub it in the face of Bret Favre.
Realistically, I smell another Super Bowl title for New England. Love 'em or hate 'em, you have to respect how the Patriot organization has kept being successful for as long as they have. They have pretty much been a good to elite team since Bill Parcells had coached them. New England's FO knows how to put together a winning franchise, and that is something I am very jealous of. It reminds me of the 49ers and Redskins of the 1980's. I'm not sure why it is that one franchise can figure out how to be consistently good in modern times and other franchises (like our beloved Redskins) have not been able to figure it out yet? You would think they would study the Patriot organization and learn something from them. Then again, who's to say they haven't? If the time comes that our Redskins organization follows in the footsteps of teams like the Patriots or the Steelers (ugh) then I just wonder how obnoxious our own fan base will be? |

I can remember back in the 90's when you you could hang out in front of Fenway and uaully score a free ticket, now days bring your first born or at least an extra arm and leg to purchase a ticket. Don't get me wrong I love that they are winners now but just be ready to prove your loyalty. IF it happens to the Skins you will be saying things like I was cheering for them when McNabb was QB! |

Yep the 2 best teams. Some people think New England is going to take it all and beat who ever plays them big, but i doubt it. Every Superbowl they have been in has been close. I guess NE has the "experience" but i think ATL would win. I hate the eagles more then any team, but im a big Vick fan and was really hoping to see him walk into ATL for the NFC Championship (and watch ATL crush them). Now that its no longer a possability this is the game i really want to see. |
