I'm not sure that I get it. How is moving camp from Ashburn to Fairfax "going away," as Shanny described it?

Moving camp is a good idea but for selfish reasons I want them back at Dickinson College. Some of my best childhood memories involve watching the Redskins practice in Carlisle.

Kinda silly isn't it? Ashburn to Fairfax?? lol. Well at least that makes my drive shorter.

Nice facilities. I actually went to football camp there once. Actually for an NFL player making 6 figures it's going to be rough, but it's not bad.

They need a change. Maybe this could do it for them. I'm sorry but Ashburn and FedEx both have a losing culture IMO. This could do them good, could energize them for play at the stadium...

They need to be farthest removed from their major nemesis during training sessions. I was hoping for a return to Carlisle.

Even if it's not far away, I still like the idea of going somewhere else for camp and changing things up.

Mason is hella closer than Ashburn so I just might be able to make my first training camp this year.

Pretty sure Carlisle and Frostburg are nicer but yeah longer drive for the fans.

A little change certainly couldn't hurt.

That article makes some solid points.

Mason has the resources to offer the Redskins what they need. Some surprisingly good facilities there. I'm guessing my summer class this year might suck. 7:20-10:00. I wonder if the 'skins will frequent the on-campus bar! I'll definitely have to check before class!

Me too. :)

Moving 20 miles is not "getting away for camp", Mr. Allen.

Carlisle would be both getting away and also making a LOT of fans very happy by returning to tradition.

Can you say Super Bowl baby. I think I'll go buy my tickets now for some non-existing seats.

I didn't think my question was worth starting a whole new thread, so I'm going to just ask .......

Is there some reason the Vikings can't get their stadium roof fixed sooner then 2011 preseason?

and my second and most important questions is why in the "F" is the owner trying to make the city pay for the damage or trying to use the Lotto money to pay for it? If I'm not mistaken his flippin insurance should cover the damages done by the weather. I'm guessing it's like flood insurance and he didn't get the extra insurance to cover this type of damage but thats his flippin fault. They are millionairs so they should have the insurance needed.
