President Donald Trump?
Are there people in here interested in seeing him become the President of the United States?

Re: President Donald Trump?
Trump vs. Alec Baldwin in 2016 is going to be epic!
I thought Trump was already running for President...under the name Mitt Romney But seriously folks, I don't think I'd count myself among those interested. Not at this point at least |
Re: President Donald Trump?
If fiscal discipline is a prerequisite I don't understand how this guy has the balls to run and expect to win. What a bizarre man.
|
Re: President Donald Trump?
I'm guessing people aren't going to care much for his insistence that we should thank W, because if not for him there'd be no Obama...or for naming Joan Rivers his celebrity apprentice

The one thing we need now is probably his biggest strength and that is getting our economy going and fixing our dept. |

If he's the best the Republicans have to offer... wow

I certainly don't think that's the case. Right now I'd take a lot of people over Captain Indecision. |
Re: President Donald Trump?
Sure but would you want Trump over Obama?

Oh god no. Obama had very little political experience before being elected President. Trump has none. This country needs leadership now so badly. Today's world is a very, very different place than it was just 10 years ago. Hell 5 years ago for that matter. We need a steady hand who's not afraid to lead. Not a spray-tanned billionaire with more tabloid experience than political experience. Trump said he's willing to spend $600M on a presidential campaign. He just might find out what it's like to be bankrupt again. I think it would be a monumental fail. |

Any day. Lest see. Japan is on the verge of a nuclear melt down, the middle east is about to explode, and we have no federal budget so Obama goes on vacation. Thats just this week. |

I feel we also need someone like him who knows how important it is to stay within a budget. Something both Rep & Dems fail to see. |
Re: President Donald Trump?
Trump as President is an Epic Fail. I actually have faith in the american voter that this would never happen. I read an article yesterday on his reasoning on how Obama is not born here....my coworkers and I laughed out loud most of the afternoon over his quotes.

Re: President Donald Trump?
The last thing I would want is DT in charge of anything economical in our country. Everyone realizes he's more celebrity than rich right?

We need someone like Trump? No we don't. But we need someone other than Jimmy Cart.... cough... Obama.... Re: President Donald Trump?
What is an outsider going to accomplish? He still has to play the same game.
|
Re: President Donald Trump?
As Matty said, as long as we have our current form of government, the President/Congressmen/etc MUST play the game, otherwise they won't be effective. You have to have the respect of your peers, regardless of your line of work, otherwise you will get very little done.
I'm starting to understand why a republic has never lasted over 250 years (until we pass it soon.) There start to become issues with have representitives. |

You remember that Dave Chappelle episode when Oprah had his baby? That sh*t was f*ckin hilarious |
Re: President Donald Trump?
Trump won't make it out of the primaries. He's a non-starter for so many reasons. And the American people will vote Captain Indecision into office for another four years.

But hey, the guy sure can pick an NCAA bracket... lol NCAA tournament: President Obama's NCAA picks go 15-1 on second day - ESPN |

What's sorta ironic about Obama filling out his brackets and this thread is that Trump recently jumped on the birther wagon, questioning the president's Americanism, and therefore his worldview. You would think filling out brackets is about the most American thing you could do during the month of March. I'm glad he did it, he gives 'em bait to cherry pick and they fall for it everytime. |

John Thune from South Dakata would have been a nice candidate, almost in the mold of Obama himself. But he voted for the bailout and a couple of other bills that the Tea Party wouldn't support. You might hear from him in 2016. But the way Obama lacks leadership, dithers on everything and is failing us so horribly, you would think the Republican field would be much more crowded with serious candidates. I wonder why? Can anyone remember the last time that we didn't have at least one current U.S Senator not run for POTUS? |

How about Mets Owner Donald Trump, holding up a Puljos jersey next year during free agency.

Oh, he's definitely unelectable. But the media keeps giving him air time like he's a serious contender. |

Agreed. But I don't think the fact that the media is giving him air time says anything about the state of the Republican party. Trump is Trump. The media has always loved to cover him, good or bad. |
