Your final prediction for #10
Let's assume they're not able to trade out of the pick, who will the Skins take at #10?
I'm saying Locker. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Hopefully Quinn.
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Im convinced Shanny is taken Locker at 10, I dont think Quinn or Miller is gonna be there. And in reference to the poll question, its gonna be Shanny's choice and not his son...so Locker is the Shanny type
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Under the assumption we stay at 10, I'm going to say Julio Jones. But only because Von Miller and Blaine Gabbert won't make it to us.
If Von Miller somehow dropped to 10, we'd take him, I think he's probably #1 on the Redskins' board. There's a lot of focus on QB, naturally, and I wouldn't be shocked (or upset) if we take Jake Locker. But Von Miller represents a nasty pass rush pairing with Orakpo, and Julio Jones represents a nasty big play threat a la Andre Johnson. I think either of those things also rank high for Shanahan. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
I am not sure that Miller or Quinn will make it to #10.
I think the Skins' interest in taking Locker at 10 is overblown. Therefore I predict Cam Jordan. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Jones or Green (best WR)
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Julio Jones
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
I think Locker, and I'm good with it.
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
A lot of crazy stuff happens in the draft and the teams that always seem to be picking high in the draft are there for a reason, so I'll guess that there will be surprises in the first nine picks and that Gabbert will fall to the Skins who will take him at #10.

Honestly that wouldn't be a shocker. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Redskins will take, if available:
1. Von Miller 2. Robert Quinn 3. JJ Watt I think we end up with Quinn. Who do I want: 1. Von Miller 2. Cam Jordan 3. JJ Watt 4. Robert Quinn |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
I want it to be Jake Locker but the Redskins rarely ever draft the guy I want so I will say it ends up being Robert Quinn.
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Only know what I have been reading here so not to sure exactly what is out there other than the obvious names. So much for the disclaimer.
Don't think Miller or Quinn drop. If they do, we take them in that order. Otherwise, Locker. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Well, just to be different, I'll say Smith
Will it be Aldon, will it be Jimmy, will it be Tyron? Stay tuned |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Can't see picking WR at ten but who knows I go with Heath Locker?
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Tyron Smith unfortunately.
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Jones, Miller or Quinn. No QB at #10
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
I think Robert Quinn has Vernon Gholston written all over him.
No way Von Miller is there, which is too bad because I'd love to have him. If Julio Jones is there at #10, it would be interesting to see what St Louis would give up to slide up from the #14 spot and grab a playmaker for Bradford that they so desperately need. At the end of the day, provided we stay at 10, I think it's Julio Jones. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
I believe Locker will be our pick, unless Miller falls down.

I have thought on more than one ocasion he would be a reach at #10. No problem with Julio Jones. With so many needs, depending on who is available when the clock strikes ten [if we can't trade down] our best option may be to take the BPA. Whoever that player may be regardless of position, his services will be more than welcomed. |

I think more than ever for the Skins, BPA is a sound strategy for all of our picks this year. We've got no QB, one O-lineman worth a damn, not much of a D-line, we need a suitor for Fletcher, an OLB opposite Orakpo, a safety to compliment Landry, we've got arguably the worst WR's in football, etc etc etc. Anyone we draft at any position could potentially help us, with TE being the only exception. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
I want it to be Quinn or Locker. I think it will be Mallett in a shocker
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
I will guess M. Dareus Alabama. This is the most wide open draft i can remember. I have no idea.
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
I hate this time of year! Every year at this time I sit around watching teams that already are more competitive than the Redskins with their full complement of draft picks, looking to upload while we're relegated to banking our hopes on low-end type players.
Depending on what happens in this draft, hopefully we can look foreward to having at least one pick in each of the seven rounds in 2012. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Locker. Wearing pajamas inside out till Thursday.
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
I think Shanny will jump on Jake Locker because he thinks that he can coach any quarterback with the phsyical talent to be a good QB. And i hope he is correct.
Ideally I want the Redskins to trade down in the 1st round as many times as possible and try to pick up some 2nd and 3rd round choices. I like the 2nd tier QB's better late in the 1st round/early 2nd than i do the big three names in the top 10. Id be fine with the Nevada QB, Christian Ponder, or Dalton if we trade for additional choices. Dont want Mallet, we cant afford to draft/sign any players that have the possibility of attitude problems. |

I'm saying Locker.
The writer here makes a case for maybe why not. Redskins’ draft prospects: Jake Locker - The Insider - The Washington Post |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
My guess, Aldon Smith.
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
I think Quinn, hopefully the 10 won't be wasted on a QB.

I'm looking at a player that can come in and contribute right away. No [projects] in my estimation are worthy at #10. Plus, I don't like 6' 2" QB's. That's part of Grossman's problem. |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
locker
|
Re: Your final prediction for #10
My faith has been shaken. If no one had brought to my attention the differences between Kyle and Mike I would have no problem saying Locker and taking my rightful place atop the Warpath as rain man. However I am now lost and have little to no idea who we'll take or what we'll do.

I'm looking at the new mod to ban you for daring to disagree with me! Seriously though, Locker's a huge, huge gamble. But if he pays off... |

I guess it is a problem since Grossman is 6'1 :) |
Re: Your final prediction for #10
Comes down to Julio Jones or Quinn but Jones is the safer pick. I've always said Jones is and will be in the pros the more complete WR than Green is/will be, and wouldn't shock me 3yrs later that he'll become the next Andre Johnson, Green the next Charles Rogers. I Don't usually care or look at combine numbers, but this kid out ran (4.38), and out-jumped Green on a bum left foot. That toughness sold me, and from a WR who'd be playing against Samuels, Jenkins, and Webster twice a yr. Quinn to me is slightly overrated, brain tumor a concern, more importantly he isn't a fit to play the 3-4 OLB Spot, (can't cover or move in space).

Locker has his share of problems. However size is not one of them. Being 6'2 is not really short enough for scouts to hold it against him, and his muscle mass is the kind of thing that scouts like to see as it indicates he should be able to handle any beating he might take at the next level, though what does concern scouts is his tendency to run with reckless abandon. Even Gruden gave him a hard time for not sliding during this play. Though Locker claims he was trying to get down before taking a big hit.
