When Lightning Strikes?
 

As I sit here in awe of the amazing thunderstorms currently passing Northern Virginia some of the more important questions/concerns in life cross my mind.

1) Can I safely shower during thunderstorms?

2) More importantly, can I play videogames?

My Google research has been inconclusive and I haven't started a thread in a while, so I pose this question to all member of the 'Path.

We done have tornado warnings here in Atlanta. I tell you what I was done trying to watch them NHL playoffs and they kept on broadcasting EAS messages during key moments.

Speaking of storms, the Southeast got hit hard yesterday. Over 200 killed.

We had a tornado try and form in Stephens City this morning at about 4:00 AM...scariest live shit I have ever been in in my life.

Damage to homes around here and trees, saw many neighbors with damaged roofs, broken windows, etc...

Worrying over my in-law family in South Alabama. There are over 200 dead so far, and probably hundreds more that are still trapped in buildings, rubble. One of the towns that was destroyed was only like 45 mins from my family. hope everybody is OK

1.) I shower in storms, but I have a fiberglass tub/shower, not an old iron one coated in porcelain.

Still probably not so safe, I have copper pipes.


2.) Surge protector and say a prayer. Maybe, don't play on your better TV.

Tornadoes in PA today too. Had one about a week and a half ago locally.

Massive rainfall and flood warnings. Susquehanna River going to crest and flood (again) this evening.

Power was out for a few hours this morning.



Overall, a crappy day, until the draft starts.

Have you heard from them yet. I hope they are ok. Those tornadoes have been awful

Talked to my sister in law on facebook this morning. She said the town was pretty messed up, and some homes took damage, but nobody was dead and aside from the cleanup, things was business as usual.
