Or trying to reinvent the over the hill gang, but less effective. Sort of...at least.

Ocho is past his prime. Maybe Brady will make him look like Moss-lite but we've yet to see how it will work out.

he'll get 70 catches, 8-9 tds, good signing for the pats.

Re: Pats trade for Ocho

As much as I hate them, NE has a strong locker room and Darth Hoody will make this work. Ocho is a nice dude. I just find it laughable that the Bengals trade Ochocinco for nothing when he could have gotten more for him a few seasons ago.

Is Vinny secretly working for the Pats. Not that it won't work but Ochocinco and Hayneswroth both prime Vinny targets. Only difference is we only unfortunate enough to acquire one.

Vinny would have traded a first rounder for Haynesworth and a second rounder for Ocho.

Yeah right now NE is loading up like they did the year they went 16-0. Oh and we play them this year like we did we they had that super team 4 years ago and destroyed us 52-7..

Super Bowl Champs. Bill wont take any sh*t from Haynesworthless or 85. If anything starts he'll ship either one off like he did Moss.

Anyone remember how they still went for the touchdown on fourth down while they had a massive lead? Yeah <---- 4 years later and I'm still bitter about that one. I vant paybach! Hopefully we'll be able to actually keep it close this time.

I'm betting Mike Brown is kicking himself for not accepting the offered deal from Vinny two years ago for Ocho, if I recall right, it was two first round picks and another pick? Brown sure saved us from Vinny's stupidity! Imagine if we actually dealt it, we would not have gotten Orakpo and Trent Williams....

Re: Pats trade for Ocho

NE really needed another quality wr so not a bad move for them. Just not sure how much Ocho has left in the tank, but they really need someone to stretch the field. But talk about a team that really doesn't put a lot of value on wr's.

I remember seeing a shot from Hard Knocks with Chad and BB before a pre season game. It seems like they're friendly with one another.

Or, because of all of the options Brady has, Chad will whine about not getting the ball enough.

Yes they are. I think it's going to work out and 85 won't be a problem. Not that he's ever really been a problem, just more of a pain in the ass.

Honestly, I don't remember the last time Ocho did anything to be a pain. I know he's been trying to get out of Cincy, and who can blame him. I know he did crap a while ago, and I think people keep referring to that.

Ocho is just a "funny man" who tried to force a trade and failed. He's not "bad" like some other players are.

Not at all...he's just a character. However, he has always wanted to be the center of attention on AND off the field.

He's going to be forced to be more of a team player after a career of being the focal point of Cincy's offense his whole career. I think he can do it, but there's always a possibility he'll struggle with it.

Honestly, he's been doing that more off the field. I think people undermine the NE locker room. Moss, who has been more of a problem than Ocho, fared well in NE.

Re: Pats trade for Ocho

I think there's a good level of mutual respect there between BB and Ocho. He's finally out of Cincy and with a team that is always a threat to win it all. Could be a match made in heaven.
