Who do you want to start at QB?
 

Me personally, I would like to have Beck get his shot in the regular season. Worse case scenario we can put Rex in and know what we get from him. A lot of high and lows throughout the season.

I really like Becks footwork an ability to escape pressure. I think our O-line is the best pass protection team in the NFL when running the bootlegs, but when it comes to straight drop back passing we seem to struggle so having a guy with quick feet will really help us this season while our O-line gets better together.

I'm hoping the Shanny's give Beck the start this Thursday. Grossman already had his chance last year, and we are aware of his talents. I wanna see more Beck! Maybe because i'm biased at the moment, and i'm on the Beck bandwagon. Can't wait till Thursday!

Can you make a "whoever gives the Redskins the best chance to win this season" option? I was on the Grossman bandwagon earlier this offseason, but it's like people say, you know what you're getting with him, and Beck may or may not have a higher ceiling. I'm gonna take the easy way out and wait until after the Ravens game :D. Even if either of them has good seasons, I don't think it matters long term, because they're both 30 or older.

[B][I]Exactly[/I][/B]. We don't even know who's going to start against the Ravens, though I'd put my money on Beck. Whether Beck plays well against the Ravens is the true money question in my mind, because I can't vote based on how he played against the Colts. If Beck plays nothing like he did last Friday against the Colts, I'd vote Grossman. Barring that happening, I'd vote Beck. Too early to call.

GIVE BECK A CHANCE! Clearly runs the offense efficiently. Given more time and opportunities he will only get better. Plus I like his feet as well.

I also want to see him start this Thursday against the Ravens. We've seen Rex against good defenses (Steelers this pre season,Giants last year) so we should Beck the equal opportunity.

Probably shows my kool-aid level, but I want to trust the Shanahan's and I want Beck to show the media that he is capable. Like someone else said, I would rather give Beck his shot early, if he fails bring in Grossman to finish out the season.

I like John's chances against the Ravens, he as well as Stallworth were there last year, John also ran the PT against the 1st stringers so he should know their tendencies.

However I trust the Shanahans, the best guy gets the call!

I defer until Thursday's results are in.... being the 3rd and deciding PS game for projected starters, the QB that starts this game should give a clue as to which QB will start the season. The Ravens will present the best challenge to date, opinions will be swayed either up or down for either QB at the conclusion.

Beck, because I know what Rexy is capable of. Haven't seen Beck yet, but my hope is that the coaches are confident he's the best option.

For all his experience Rex still hits the panic button way too quickly. This was evident in the Pitt. game when he rushed throws due to oncoming rushers. He missed a screen that I thought he could've completed had he moved away from the rush a step. He may run the rollouts well but he doesn't seem to move well in the pocket & he virtually never runs the ball! I think that's a big part of his turnovers, he throws into coverage rather than trying to escape it.

I'm hoping it ends up being Beck so that way if or when we succeed with Beck, Shanny can give the finger to all the critics and fans out there doubting him.

id like beck at this point and i believe beck will be the guy. beck seems like a guy who wont take as many chances as grossman, but would have not nearly as many turnovers as rex. that said, i feel confident that both can do a good job for us.

Voted for Beck. His athleticism and quick release makes him intriguing, and he seems like a smart guy that's not going to force things. That might be enough to help form an efficient offense with a strong running game behind him. The question is can he be a play maker? We'll see.

I went with Beck. Grossman will make some big plays, but he'll also make some unbelievably stupid plays. Under pressure Grossman is mediocre at best. I want to see what Beck can do with his quick release and accurate throws, also seems to deal better with pressure.

That said, he's on a relatively short leash in my book. If he's not getting it done -- it's time to unleash the dragon.

I voted for John Beck. I feel more comfortable with a veteran backup to come in and salvage games if necessary. I like the youth movement. The Redskins are looking more like a running team. The quarterback needs to complement the running game. I really like what I'm seeing with Hightower, Helu and Royster. Torain may find himself the odd man out.

But yeah, Beck totally has my vote -- we know what Rex can do in cleanup duty but got to start thinking about the next 3-5 years.

I prefer Beck, but I want him to earn it. His mobility is a big plus in this scheme.

Ben Chappells hand offs have been the most crisp out of the three, I agree.

You know, I'm torn on the subject. Grossman seems to be playing better as a result of this competition. He probably feels as if this is his last chance to be a starting QB in this league. The same goes for Beck; no other team has given him a real shot. What I see on tape is Grossman playing better at this point. This scenario could prove to springboard 2 competent QBs as supposed to only one as long as Shanahan doesn't employ the "quick hook". Show Kellen some love too.

put grossman back to where he is last year
