TIME TO GET HYPED! Yeah bitches! NFL regular season is back, and the loser Giants are about to get bitch slapped by the Washington F'n Redskins baby!

hooskins 09-06-2011 02:23 PM

Im just super stoked for the season to start. Few months back I wasn't even sure if this game was going to be played or any game for that matter.

In terms of the specific game, we have great change to come out the gate winning as we are facing a severly injuried giants team.

Prediction: Skins 20 Giants 15

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread

I'm stoked but the giants own us as of late.. It's time to change that starting Sunday!

Skins 23
giants 20

Gano GW FG

Hightower 18 carries 96 yds 1 TD
Moss 7 Rec 75 yds
Gaffney 1 TD
Grossman 2tds 1 Int

Defense plays well but manning will hit one deep TD to nicks

You got me even more stoked than I already was. :)

Giants are ripe for the picking, it's time for tables to turn.

Skins 17-13.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread

I don't think it's a stretch to say the Skins are probably better than the Giants at this stage in the season, plus we'll be playing at home. The Giants have had some departures, tons of bad luck with injuries, and didn't have a great FA season.

I think Rexy will be steady, but not great and Hightower's fantasy value will go through the roof after we shred the Giants' defense.

Redskins 27
Giants 13

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread

If Grossman doesn't screw the pooch we can win this.
Hightower is going to be my bread and butter fantasy team boy so I'm expecting big things right out of the gate.
I like our new pass rush and want to see mucho grass stains on Eli's narrow tushy.
The Jints WRs are young and fast so it will be a good early test for Josh (am I a real cornerback?) Wilson.
All around the most confident I've felt about our opener in a long time.

Oh, and we have to contain the mighty Bear Pascoe.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread

I'm going with 27-14. Giants offense still tough but the Skins offense to much for the undermanned Giant D.

I'm feeling that way too.

Even if we don't win, I'm positive we're going to give them all they can handle.

Information on the Jints injury woes.
I didn't know that Sage Rosenfels was on IR.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread

I rarely do pregame predictions, but I'm gonna throw a guess out there. 27-17 Skins over Giants. Giants are injury plagued, ripe for the picking, and it's gonna be an emotional game what with it being Sept. 11th. Skins are going to come out determined to prove we aren't as bad as they say we are. Hightower's gonna have a huge game and that will allow Good Rex to have a good day.

Kerrigan and Orakpo are going to have at least 1 sack apiece. Giants won't know what hit 'em, and Cofield will have a huge day as well but it won't show up on the stats sheet. We will get beat on at least one occasion, probably Hakeem Nicks as Hall will gamble and lose on at least one play, but make up for it with a turnover of some kind.

This is going to be a close game thanks to the Giants injury situation. If this game was in NY I'd take the Giants but it isnt so I wont.

NYG 17

I think the game is in the hands of Grossman. If he can play steady without playing to conservative then I think we have the talent to beat the Giants. I think we will see a lot of RB rotation on O and a fair amount of blitz on D

Redskins pound the ball with over 100 yards rushing at the half. Big plays in the passing game and special teams put the G-Men away in the second half. Skins by 13.

I dont see the Skins tearing any team a new one but I do think they will have some offensive success vs the NYG.

OK, I'll play.......

The Redskins will lose to the Giants. It won't be pretty......grown men will cry..... Dan Snyder will scream at the hired help.

I wish we even deserved to be on the field with the G-men. Maybe we should rest our starters and Suck for Luck?

Why? Why can't we be great like "them?"

Giants.....56
Skins.......2

How's that?

Re: Redskins vs. Giants pre-game thread

I think the Giants had one of the worst player run off season workouts. I don't know that that means that much, but you have to wonder whether their D was out of condition, or if the coaches are pushing them harder to make up for the lost time.

They have looked out of sync all pre-season, and although I am doubtful the Skins have blowout potential, I think the Giants are going to be on the wrong side of ALOT of lopsided games this season.

That said, until the Skins show me they can win convincingly in the regular season, I'm still calling them close.

Do you really think that 9/11 means more to the Redskins then the NY Giants?

If we are as good as I believe we are, this team should really lay a walloping on the G-men. They are hurting right now and there is no realistic way they should beat us at home. Seriously, the mediots need to get a grip - if anything, the Skins will be fired up out of a lack of respect.

Look for this to be an emotional, fired up team that is out to make a statement and shut up the neigh-say'ers. :FIREdevil
Do you really think that 9/11 means more to the Redskins then the NY Giants?
Absolutely not. I think maybe what he was saying, is from a fan's perspective, it would really suck to lose on that day....for anyone.

Not to harp on the 9/11 angle but on that day we were all fans of the same team, so I'm sure players on both sides will be equally hyped to go out and do well. 9/11 was bigger than New York vs. Washington.

VegasSkinsFan 09-06-2011 05:27 PM

Just got back from Mandalay bay. The lined started at giants -3 and it's now giants -2.5. Sounds like people are pickin the skins.

Well the games should not be in the hands of Beck or Grossman. Neither of them are elite QBs that can take over a game a carry a team on their shoulders. Unless there is a miracle with Rex (or if Beck was the starter), I hope it doesn't get to the point where the game is in their hands. Well, at least that is the way I see it.
