Was searching random, "unnamed" giant's message boards and the general consensus would appear to be, that the Redskins DON'T have a QB and will EASILY fall to the banged up New York Giants!

Lets tune in and check what the enemy's camp is planing for us....
Same result... we dominate them for an easy "W"

we lost our MLB...they have no QB....

Giants still win...

Giants 27 - Redskins 14.

Giants - 20
Redskins - 16

Giants 30
Redskins 13

Gmen=24

Skins=13

I just think our offense is that much better than theirs and our D is better no doubt..We are a better team and thats that
Here a fan predicts the REDSKINS to WIN -
Washington 24 NY 6
...and the response -
He's trolling or *** bipolar, either way you gotta ignore him.....I hope the new forums have a ignore feature I have so many trolls to add to my list...
Evidently Giant's fans are not allowed to question the greatness of the ALMIGHTY G-men!!!

LMAO! Funny stuff! I thought Redskins fans were delusional....!

:laughing2

I don't really see how it is surprising or notable that Giants fans should predict a win for their team. I would expect Giants fans to be saying these things.

Seems fairly similar to this and other Redskin boards.

Guys....I get it....just have some fun! Giants are in a bad way right now....and people are not even considering the fact that we MIGHT win!

Re: Giant's fans predicting victory: funny stuff here!

Until we beat them consistently, I think that they have to feel that way. Redskins.com is kinda making it a point of focus by tweeting and keeping in the media the fact that we haven't beat the NYG in an opening game since 1976. I think this is the year we break that streak, but lets not pretend that they haven't had our number for a while - moreso than Dallas, or Philly by far.

geez, looking at the history, since 2001 we are 5-15 against the Giants, including 0-6 since Sep 4, 2008. We seriously need to change that ratio!

This is supposed to be a thread for fun! Not for serious discussion on how we are going to have to prove ourselves, etc.

Re: Giant's fans predicting victory: funny stuff here!

What do you expect them to do, predict their team will lose when they've clearly been better than us the last few years (or 10) and look to be better for the near future till we beat them.

The game's decided on Sunday, not on some board.

More than any other team I think, I just want the Skins to go out and beat the Giants on Sunday. I know these are supposed to be fun games, but when a team has had your number for so long, it's kinda difficult to find the smack talk laughable, after all, we are 0fer out of the last 6 games, including a Monday night drubbing where we were embarrassed with the infamous fake from JZ.

Let's beat them first, build up some credibility for this season, then when our next meeting rolls around, hopefully they will be a bit more humble.

Haha, sorry man -- it's okay, you'll learn. People on this board, myself included, have a very dark sense of humor, a product of being a Redskins fan for the last decade I guess.

For the record, I really hope we rub it in their faces on Sunday -- give those hatters something to talk about.

it's just funny that you start a thread about NYG homers, and are amazed that this board is keeping it real (not in the negative -we are doomed sense, but in the acknowledging history sense). I imagine Giants1 or some other Giants fan could come in to this thread and snip a quote here or there and go back to their board saying look at what Skins fans are saying. (in fact I am guessing many have).

I prefer that we stay the underdogs, especially while we are rebuilding. When everyone else starts having high expectations for us, then we know we the team is coming together. Let's take it one game at a time!

On one thread we have people putting down Landry for trash-talking in a way that he can't back up...and in another thread we have people trash talking about beating the team which has had our number for years.

The irony is rich.

This. Sorry polywog, it appears you are flying solo on this one. I'm as amped up as anyone else about the game, but we'd be stupid to ignore the facts. And the facts are that we haven't posed a threat to the Giants in years. I hope it's different this time around but their fans do have a point. Of course they should be confident about beating us, we've lost our last 6 games against them. That's an eternity in NFL time.

skinsguy 09-07-2011 09:54 AM

Re: Giant's fans predicting victory: funny stuff here!

Well, I'll be the first to say, I'm with ya Polywog! I have a lot of confidence in this team. That confidence might be gone by game one, or it might be reinforced after game one, but I see this Redskins team as something very different from what the Giants have faced the last three years. This team is going to be much, much younger, they look hungry, and they all seem to have a great deal of confidence. I believe that is one thing that is different from what the Giants have faced the last few years - this 'skins team seems to have a lot of promise and confidence in themselves. That confidence can take a team a mighty long ways.

I do think a lot of teams are going to underestimate this team this season. And, that's OK with me. I hope they do. I have seen a lot of lists and rankings leaving the Redskins in the bottom of the pile (even some lists have had the 'skins below the Bungals!) So, let me underestimate this team.

Re: Giant's fans predicting victory: funny stuff here!

If the point of this thread (assuming there is one) is to say "we look good and have a level of confidence that we will beat the Giants" then hey I am with Poly, I think we have the better team, and am looking forward to the win. But if the point, as it seemed to be, was to bash NYG fans for having the audacity to think that their team will beat the Skins, well, history gives them that right.

Time to make some new history. To dream a BETTER dream!

Re: Giant's fans predicting victory: funny stuff here!

Giants are a tough team. It will be a close game but I think we pull with a win. People aught to know they have good running game and receivers, d-line and tough as nail. Lets hope Eli is his shitty self.

Chico23231 09-07-2011 10:12 AM

Re: Giant's fans predicting victory: funny stuff here!

Vigiants fans should feel confident about beating us like CREDSKINSRULE stated. We have alot to prove, preseason is just that, preseason. I think most Gmen fans would agree the Skins are moving in the right direction, but probably feel we are not there yet, so them calling for an easy win is not outragous by any means. Giants still have a nice collection of talent at skills positions and great coaching which will keep them in most games.

Boom.. Nailed it.

Don't understand the new guy to much. He downs Redskin players for trash talking, and making bad plays, but then makes a bad thread full of trash talking?

Redskins have some of the biggest homerish fanbase in the NFL, and that's ok. It's alright to have a good outlook on your team. Just because the Giants are banged up doesn't mean they wont have 11 guys on the field. Giants having a bunch of injuries is a every year thing, and they still went 10-6 last year, and we haven't beaten them in forever

Eh...I just look at it as Poly trying to have a pep rally and getting the 'skins fans excited. No different from hearing Giants fans at work talking trash. If we had the same exact team as a year ago, then yeah, I'd be a bit more pessimistic. But, this is a completely different Redskins team. As far as I'm concerned there is no last year. Take a look at our schedule and how loaded we are. We are DEEP at RB. We are DEEP at WR. Our OL is improved. Our QB is improved. Our DL is improved. Our LB is improved.

We are easily capable of having 10 wins.

We face:
Arizona
Carolina
Buffalo
San Francisco
Miami
Seattle
Minnesota

Win all of these games, split the season series against our division rivals and truck Fat Albert, and we have 11 in the bag.
