I didn't listen to the interview, but it sounds like Cooley was joking around a bit. But I'm sure dumb a$$ Cowpuke fans are taking this seriously. I'm sure what Deion said is more critical than anything Cooley said (since he said something similar in the NFLN).

Add Deion Sanders, Chris Cooley to list of Tony Romo critics - ESPN Dallas

In regards to drama, yeah there is no drama with this team this year. Even though a few fans would like to blow things out of proportion (D. Hall, QB controversy...sort of) we are not dealing with anything close to what we've dealt in the past. Other than close games and some fans creating controversy where there is none, the Redskins are quite boring in that department.

Re: It's great to be drama free for once.

Um.....la feuhr. Cooley.........Cooley has gone rogue.
"It's amazing, amazing to watch him choke like that," Redskins tight end Chris Cooley said on 106.7 The Fan in Washington. "I'm just saying, (if) I'm up 24 points in the third quarter, if I'm the head coach, I feel like I could probably just take a knee for the rest of the game, punt it away and there's no way that Detroit's gonna drive on you that many times. The only way you're gonna give up that many points is turnovers, right? It's hilarious to watch him throw pick sixes, too, back to back. I loved it."

Cooley wants to beat Romo himself, but not just on the football field. He said he would relish getting into a cage with him.

"For me to beat Tony? I'm gonna be honest, I don't know what kind of cage fighting skills he has," Cooley told the radio station. "I would probably try to incorporate my wrestling ability, like when I was in high school. Obviously it's been awhile, but I didn't like to beat people fast. I like to embarrass 'em a little bit. Like, take a 24-point lead, and then just play with it a little bit."

Man, if the biggest thing we have to worry about is Cooley talking about how nice it is to watch Tony Romo blow a huge lead, than that's major progress over the year round BS that we had last year with McNabb and Haynesworth.

Chris has earned his right to smack talk but I don't see that being the big deal as much as him dogging Romo when Rex is even more of a choke artist IMO.

Anyone who takes CC seriously needs to have their head examined. I mean, he's talking about fighting him in a cage for crying out loud.

Apparently few Redskins fans weren't only one who are taking Cooley's comments seriously. This example is exactly what I am talking about when I once claimed that media often twist players' words, making it more dramatic.

All thats left to cement his reputiation is to get wasted at a White House function and tell Sonia Sotomayor to "loosen up Sonia baby." After which he'll pass out during a speech by President Obama. Oh yeah, he also needs to start an acting career.

Serious or not why say it?If a Cowboy player said the same thing about Rex this board would light up and if you say I'm wrong you're a liar.yes you're right he was kidding but really....why even start, between the press and the fans isn't that enough?

Some would, but I'm sure some people would probably agree. I still think people are blowing this out of proportion. I mean what's next, people are going to start taking everything that Ochocinco says seriously? Get over it people.
