Redskins Coming Home This Week... For Me At Least!!
 

In honor of the Redskins' 1st ever(?) regular season game in Canada, I figured I'd take the reins on this thread this week.

I'll be at the game wearing my mod outfit:

As for the game, I'm bummed my favorite Skin won't be playing (Santana) but otherwise pretty excited. I'm looking for the D to bounce back with a strong game, and looking for Beck to take another step forward.

Hope u have a great time and Our skins will win this game, I said last week that we would lose to Carolina but beat Buffalo. I think we will give Fitz some problems with our Pass Rush and I expect Beck to play even better just hope A wr CAN step up and help him.

It's aboot time we got this team back on the right track. I think this will be the week we'll play better, even if we don't play the same way against the 9ers next week. Coming off a loss against the Panthers, this team will want to work hard and get back to the success they had in the first 4 games.

I wonder how they pick the home team for this game? CC I'm glade to your getting to see the skins play but I'm no fan of these games. I guess it better we are playing in Canada then flying over seas. Have a great time.

We only have one week to embrace Canada, because I highly doubt the Skins will make going there a regular occurence, so we might as well take advantage of it.

Also before I forget, I hope you have a great time CC. I'm sure you've been excited ever since the schedule was announced and we found out the 'Skins are going to Canada. I hope they reward you for your patience with a nice easy win. :)

Bufalo is trying to expand their fanbase and since Toranto is so close it makes sense for them to play a couple home games there. I think they have been doing this for the last couple years.

I think Detroit would be smart to do the same thing, they border Windsor Canada (CC have you been there?) and ive heard Windsor is like the Tijauna of the north.

If a player is injured on sacred Canadian soil, do they get free health care? I bet they do. I also wonder if Terrance and Phillip will be at the game.

I live outside of Toronto and will be there too! Took a trip to watch the skins a few years ago.. Hard to believe after all these years of being a fan this will be my second game.

This is gonna be a reallllll tough game, but one we can win.

Defense is going to have to play better than last week. Hasletts' 2nd half defense and strategy was extremely poor. You can circle every unit on defense last as a contributing factor, CB, Saftey, DL and Linebackers...everyone needs to step up including the coaching staff. Fred Jackson should be priority one, this Bills offense remind me of the Eagles of several years ago with Westbrook being the focal point on O and a thorn in the Skins ass. We need to contribute most focus on him. Fitzpatrick is like McNabb, not sold on him, but the guy can make plays.

Skins offense needs to step up. Tired talking bout injuries, its part of the game and we got the guys who can step up. Buffalo's defense is horrible, I mean really poor. They allow 285 avg yrd through the air and have only 4 sacks on the year. Thats great news for us. Then they allow 136 yards on the ground for a 5.1 avg carry. Wow. If its any week for the Skins offense to rebound, its this week. Beck will be better this week, and I expect Torain and Helu to play hungry.

i feel like ive been a debbie downer on the skins this year but for some odd reason i think the skins win this game.

1) i think the bills will gameplan conservatively and try and run the ball and stick with the run thinking they can win this game by winning the battle of nutrition and being patient. just letting the better team eventually seperate itself and win. no need to gamble, open it up in a shoot out.

2) i think our run D will actually have a decent game, while not shutting down fred, they will contain him to 3.5-4 yds a carry and hes going to carry it over 25 times.

3) if you add 1 and 2 together, it equals a clock eating moderate scoring game. bills somewhere in the 20s.

4) i think the skins pass rush can gear up to get after fitzpatrick since their O line seems dinged up. with the secondary playing well and not getting burnt the few times the bills do dial a PA or long bomb up.

5) the skins D being able to rush the qb equals some turnover opportunities, which means some short fields for the O. i think we win the turnover battle 4-1 with a possible defensive td. were due

6) kyle calls a better game that plays to what beck has to offer and we mix in more crossing, rollout and intermediate stuff like the 2nd half against carolina. we move the chains good enough. we also score in the 20s in a clock eating type offense.

John Beck is trying to emulate Ryan Fitzpatrick's career track. First year, underwhelming first few starts in the rookie season. Then, nothing for a couple years. Then, fortune strikes while he's a backup for a team. But the performance wasn't that good. We'll see if Beck can do better.

- That Geddy Lee pic is awesome. Couldn't figure out why Geddy Lee would be hanging out with Bob and Doug Mackenzie but realized it must have been at the taping of "Tears are not Enough", the canadian version of "We are the World".

- Also loved the Warren Cromartie reference. Bit of an overrated player but really nice guy and fan favorite. I remember in the 80s at Olympic Stadium they used to sell a chocolate bar with Cro's big smiley face on it. It was appropriately named the "CroBar".
