Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
Well, full disclosure, I was working a charity event all day today for my business (benefiting the Washington Nationals Juvenile Diabetes Care Complex at Children's Hospital), so I literally didn't watch a single snap of football until this Philly/Dallas game.
So basically I'm going to leave the Studs up to you guys. I hear it was a god awful, piss poor, dogsh*t game. I kinda saw this coming. So let me know, who, if anyone, were studs today? |
Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))

Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
Even The Gatorade guy struggled today
|
Fletcher came to play today, and I'll give props to Davis too. Other than that, everyone else was pretty much garbage.

Kerrigan had a few good plays. |
Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
We got shut out.
I got nuthin. |
Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
I kind of felt like Kerrigan showed up today too.
What makes me LOL a bit is that his face looked like he found out Santa wasn't real either... Kid will be good in this league. |
Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
Sav, Fletch and Davis IMO

I think John Beck compares well with other #Redskins QB legends. He's like Mark Rypien without all that talent baggage. 3 hours ago Favorite Retweet Reply FauxJohnMadden Faux John Madden The only person who hasn't hit John Beck today is Chris Brown. 2 hours ago Favorite Retweet Reply |
Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
Rocca - the best punter we've had in a long time...and I was a big fan of Hunter Smith
Goal post upright - made a play when no one else would Halloween costumes - the players and coaches were very convincing zombies |

This. Kerrigan had two excellent plays where he read the run perfectly and stopped them for a loss but had an otherwise uneventful day. Those listed above were about it. |

I did not mean to be zombie-ist. My apologies to the dead community. |
Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
Fletcher, Sav, and Davis. I don't even want to put anybody on offense up here with them hanging a big fat goose egg on the scoreboard.

Thank God I have 2 #12 Frerotte Jerseys to help remind me of the better days. |
Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
Only studs are the obvious: London Fletcher and Fred Davis. Some say Kerrigan deserves to be one, but no. He made some plays, but wasn't a stud. A stud stands out from the rest.

Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
Looking at the point total and team we played, I think the entire defense should receive a lot of credit. Especially when the other side of the ball completely screwed them this game.

Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
london fletcher and I gave my seat up for a late 40s early 50s woman. so me kinda too but london first, me second then i will leave third place for anyone else who wants to make a strong case .. which should cement my spot at 2nd for showing sportsmanship and encouraging people to openly lobby for 3rd.
i feel pretty good about myself right now. not as good as fletch ya know, but pretty good though. edit - oh, well i guess GM for doing the whole spend time for charity thing, especially during a skins game, thats a smidgen lil bit noble and all, if your into that whole give and not ask to be recognized thing . . .i did let an older lady sit in my seat though. how many lives did you save GM? i might have saved one. i definitely inspired no less than 3 people around me. they didnt say anything directly but you could tell they wanted to. i think someone might have told the bartender "hey put 1 of his drinks on my tab" but i think the tender just missed it. because i def paid full price. did anyone ask to buy you a drink GM? |

Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
Fletch, Sav, Kerrigan all with nice games.
I thought the defense played well for being on the field all night. Run D has been shakey this last month. Rocky after starting the season playing decent, has strung together some bad games. Im putting him on the dont re-sign, cut list next to Barnes and Reed. We need to upgrade Rocky at ILB. |

Most of the team is on the need to upgrade list right? It was nice to see Hankerson make a catch, Austin got plenty of playing time and Paul would have had a long catch if Beck could have seen him. (I am not claiming any of these are studs) |

Yes. The defense could have played better for sure. But the Bills were averaging 31 ppg and we held them to 8 points less. This despite the fact that the defense was on the field a lot because the offense...wasn't. |
Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
Fletcher for sure.
Rocca, Fred Davis and Ryan Kerrigan to a lesser extent. Otherwise, everyone else sucked...again. |

Bottomline at ILB spot is Fletch is gettin up there and Rocky is just not an effective 3-4 ILB. I feel Riley should get a look. But we probably need to address the position in the offeseason. |
Re: Scud's Studs (Week 8 @ Buffalo (Toronto))
Fletch and Rocca. No one on the O did anything to get any credit.

Fox played pretty well I thought.

He did, which makes me curious as to why Rocky kept seeing the field. Fox plays well should mean Rocky on the bench. I don't get it. |
