Redskins Choose Tashard
Meet your new Redskins RB
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
For those wondering, I'm talking about this guy
Tashard Choice, RB for the Dallas Cowboys at NFL.com |
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
The guy we stripped last year before halftime??? VOmit, I hate this fn organization, we have such a good track record of picking up cowboy trash.

I think every former Cowboy we've picked over the past decade has played well for us. Branden Noble, Stephen Bowen, and now Tashard Choice. |
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
Ahh yes, the same RB who Jerrah was shopping while on the sidelines a few weeks ago.
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
Idk would you rather have royster as a back up??? i love the kid but is slow. and Torrain had one good week and the rest has been pretty awful. I think first we need to give helu more than 2 carries a week. treat him as a sproles or tolbert and allow him some touches. idk choice is there to see what he can do. No commitment to him.
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
Well, I guess we'll find out if it's the right choice or the wrong choice. I mean what choice did we have. Beggars can't be choosers. And so on...
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
Wasn't he hurt?
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
I believe he was put on the waived/injured list so I'm pretty sure the Cowboys couldn't have actually released him until he was ready to play. If I recall the rules correctly
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
With our line play right now, there isn't anyone who is likely to rack up a lot of yards. So Choice will come in and suffer like our existing backs are suffering, and everyone with think that this is a wasted pickup (which it probably is).
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
I think he still has something in the tank. Good, he can get 1 carry a game, just like our other backs.
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
i think this is a good pickup. hes a decent running back

Hehe well played sir! Generally speaking I don't understand why Helu isn't getting the opportunity to get in a rhythm. Give him 10 carries in a qtr and see what happens at least. He must have earned some trust as a blocker since he's in there on 3rd down. So why not try him as an everydown back? |
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
I remember Choice breaking a few big ones early in his career, so sure let's hope he's got a few more.
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
Oh, I coined a nickname for the dude yesterday or two days ago.
The Correct Choice. (Joins "The Price is Right") |

Stephen Bowen hasn't been that bad at all. |
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
I saw that he was cut and I immediately thought we may pick him up just for depth. Turns out I was right.

For all the mediocore players like Noble, Bowen and Choice. I remmember guys like Dion, Alvin Harper, James Washington, Gesek and for goodness sakes Tony Blanks!! Different front office same results. One teams trash is the Redskins treasure. |
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
BYT we only ran the ball 12 freakin times sunday, wtf, Banks could surviuve that, crap givie it him ha aint doing nothing in the return game
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
Tony Banks was legit. Remember his first game!?
|

He and Cofield have been invisible the past three games. |

Nope but i remmber his last one!! lmao |

I only rewatched a portion of the Panthers game and had to deal with streams otherwise. I have definitely seen Cofield being pushed back often, but Bowen, not so much. |

Cofield had a pressure on Sunday I think, because I remember being so shocked I spilled my scotch on the couch :) |

CP's been rejected by a load of teams. Kind of sad, really. |
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
Chris Russell just said on 980am that Royster didn't get the promotion from the PS apparently because the coaches are less than thrilled with his practice habits and conditioning. Interesting.

No sir...B's "The Darkest." Stuff is deliciously cheap hehe |
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
Who did we cut to sign choice?

It is. I agree with you 100%. I was never a portis fan here, i appreciated what he could do when he was healthy, but it was his attitude and work ethich that made me dislike him. That being said i honestly figured that someone would pick him up just for depth, but I am shocked that he is completley done. I thought all along that the best thing he should do was retire, BUT, I also thought like every other high-mileage player, he would try a comeback. When my buddy that is a realtor told me that CP was 280 pounds at one point during the summer, i knew then that he was finished. And that really is sad. |

That is interesting. I suppose someone like Thompson maybe goes back down to the PS |
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
I knew once he got cut that we'd try and get him. I don't mind it actually and I don't see why everyone else is up in arms. I'm sure he's a full on Cowboy hater now anyways.

Who is up in arms? |
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
What a joke this is... Wrong Choice.
|
Sorry everyone was the wrong word. I should have said some.

I think up in arms were the wrong words. Some people think it's a ho-hum signing (myself included), others think it was a dumb signing. Either way, "up in arms" should never really apply to a guy who is currently injured and will be a #3 RB. |
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
Can he play QB?
|
Re: Redskins Choose Tashard
I'm not sure this was a good Choice.
