We gotta hope for the best. Thought an injury to our best Olineman deserved it's own thread. |
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
love Trent great player and great attitude
|
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Hmmmm...not conclusive till after the MRI.
Either way we should sit him for a while. |
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Does anyone have a collective list for the team injuries? Such as Out for the year, etc.
There are so many, I really cannot keep up...... |
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
CC, Hightower, KL, and Hankerson are the important IR players.
|
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Yeah I do not know what we can gain by playing him if there is going to be a big issue on the horizon.
|
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
No matter what the MRI shows, I'm still tempted to just sit him.

Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen it. ... With the #2 pick in the 2012 NFL draft, the Washington Redskins select Matt Barkley. |
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Shanny said in his postgame presser that the head trainer told him its likely a grade 3 MCL sprain. I'd be pretty surprised if he doesn't miss at least a few weeks.
|
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
See this is what happens when you stop using steroids.
|
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Will this season end all ready!! I'm ready for the draft.

It's Dirtbag. LOL |
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Don't get it... thought he got busted for mood altering drugs not PEs.
|
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
A grade 3 sprain means he's done for the year, if accurate. Can't play without an MCL.

Unless you use steroids for healing and marijuana and heroin to promote healing. |
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Trent Williams needs to sit out for a few weeks. Hell, what difference would it make if Shanahan placed him on IR today or tomorrow? Does it matter if he plays again this season? He played well this year. I personally want to see what reserve lineman can step in Trent Williams' place.
|
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Trent just has bad luck with his leg injuries, whether its MCL's or ankles.
I would consider drafting a LT in the first couple of rounds and moving Trent to the right side next year where he's more comfortable. |

I think we're supposed to go. Hahahahaha, but for some reason I can't. You did get the memo that the drug used was a recreational drug.........right? It's just a technicality in terms but usually they are refering to pot, marijuana, cocain, heroin, meth, crack......those kinds of drugs. ;) |
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Worse case for Trent after stopping his recreational drug use is the munchies but that might have caused him to gain more weight and put more stress on his knees.lol
|
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Rest him for the remainder of the year.

Reverse that. |

Dude have you lost your mind. |
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
I want him to sit. the last thing we need is for him to gimp out there and tear his ACL. then we get to spend the whole offseason wondering if our LT will be ready in September.

Yep. |
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
Listening to Shanny's presser right now- Trent's MRI came back as just a grade 1 MCL sprain- not nearly as bad as a grade 3. That's a positive for sure. Maybe he misses a week, but certainly not a long term thing.

Hell no. QB 1st round (preferably RGIII) and then OL in the 3rd. I still think WR is a bigger priority than OL but I know I'm in the minority on that one. |

That you are...over the past two week's we've seen the passing game improved when Rex had time and there was some accuracy. While I wouldn't mind picking up a good WR in free agency, i feel that if you fix the QB position and add depth to the o-line, our WR issues will be significantly less. |

I just see the WR in our division alone, Nicks, Bryant, Austin, Jackson, Maclin and even with 5 Pro Bowlers on the OL, our WR don't have the same level of talent, explosiveness and playmaking ability as any of them and that's just a 3 team comparison. If I expanded it across the NFL, I don't think that on ability alone, any of our WR would be in the top 50 at that position. |

WRs are only as good as the QB throwing them the ball. Are any of the Colts Wrs doing anything this year? Didn't think so. |

Good point but again the talent and ability need to be there as well. I don't think we're scaring anyone with Stallworth, Anderson, Armstrong and Gaffney. |

I think our QB play and running game isn't scaring anyone. If we had a QB that had better accuracy with the deep passes and in the red zone, our WRs/TEs would be having great years and we'd have a much better record. Right now we have no running game and a mediocre QB behind center. No WR is going to be successful under those circumstances. |

I guess I'm saying that even with the best circumstances, we don't have anyone of note at the WR position and to get to the contender level, we need at least one of those type players. Simply adding one of those players won't make a difference, it starts with QB, OL/running game is a key but that's not a 'weak link' position on an elite offense. |

True. However, Hankerson showed some flashes of development, and I believe he will improve on that next season. I think a veteran wideout in FA is not out of the question, but as with our defense, I feel that the WR position is hard to judge given the shaky QB play and lack of running game. In previous years our WR was terrible and it showed during games when you saw players dropping balls, not making easy catches, and not being able to get separation. I don't think we've seen much of that this season. |

Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
why would we draft a LT in the 1st?? WTF
|
Re: Trent Williams Injury Update
If Trent cant go who will play LT vs the Seahawks? Our O-line has so many injuries thats why our running game has suffered. We need to draft o-line 2012 draft .
We need QB 1st Oline 2nd and best players after that. |
