|
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
i thought choice showed some potential last week, im surprised.
|
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
gee, this would have made sense if it never happened in the first place. Knee jerk, stupid decision. what kind of backwoods ass organization picks up a player on waivers, actively puts him into the game plan for a week (at the expense of a promising rookie) and then cuts him the following week? Answer: a shitty one.
|
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
Sheesh. That's funny. Much ado about nothing with Choice I guess.
|
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
Choice cut? Can you say "Signed for Intelligence gathering"?
|
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
Head scratcher. What's next? Cut Stallworth again?
|
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
Good choose, errrr choice.
I dont like guys with dAlLaS stink on them. |
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
And the team resigned Tristan Davis to the PS. Yeah
|
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
Let's see if the Rolls Royster makes up for that bad Choice.

7 carries for 5 yards? I guess the bar is set at an all time low around here. |

:hater: What's so bad about this move?? Choice was out there, why not have a look? Royster is sitting on our PS anyways. Plus it could have been an intelligence gathering or motivational move as others have mentioned. I don't see the big deal. There are many valid reasons to hate this organization, this isn't one of them. |

Nothing wrong with kicking the tires on a guy, especially in a season like this. |

Huh, I hadn't even thought of that. Wouldn't surprise me if that was true. |
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
It's about time

Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
Good. Fresh legs to run and get water for Ryan Torain.
|
Its an expensive intelligence mission if thats what it was since I think the Skins are now on the hook for his 750000 remaining salary. I mean its not my money but I have a hard time thinking that was the plan all along.

He had 7 yards on 6 carries. I think 6 of those yards were on one carry.....tell me again where the "potential" is? |

Man, was I wrong on Torrain. He went from beastly to wimpy overnight. I haven't seen any of the power which he ran with last year. |

[quote=JoeRedskin;862501]Man, was I wrong on Torrain. He went from beastly to wimpy overnight. Torain showed all the classic signs of being overrated last year based on opponents. Shonn Greene ran into such good fortune down the stretch in 2009. DeMarco Murray is no different this year for Dallas. Happens to a lot of guys.
But you look at Torain's big games: St. Louis last this year, Indianapolis last year, Chicago last year, and Tampa Bay last year, we're talking about some of the worst run defenses. Chicago being the exception, because I thought Kyle Shanahan attack them senselessly by throwing the kitchen sink at them in terms of blocking schemes, allowing Torain to run hard and put up numbers against a good opponent. We haven't attacked a team like that on the ground before or since. I never expected him to become this ineffective though. And the Redskins coaches are just in denial on him because they never considered that last year might have been a mirage. But Tampa really was just that bad at run defense. They were the worst in the league at it last year. Kinda like St. Louis or Carolina this year. |

Only thing they care about is how much cap money does he cost. |
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
Looks like the Redskins made the wrong Choice. Let's see what Royster's got.

Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move

Just saw on Twitter that Chester Pitts is visiting the Redskins.

Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
Can't blame Choice's low yardage all on him, a few plays he was hit right after the handoff. When he got a hole - his 1st carry - he looked quick enough. Royster is a dc kid so I would much rather see him succeed than an ex-cowboy yellow jacket. I certainly don't expect much from him though, he's just not quick enough to get into the very small creases our o line opens.

Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
It aint the RB ..its the OL..but who didnt know this.

Good news gents. Redskins are off the hook for Tashard Choice's season salary.
Buffalo claimed Choice off the waiver wire today. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk |
Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
I'm glad to see Royster move up. Let's see what he's got. We need to know if he can play.

Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
I know this doesn't fit under this thread, but I don't want to start a new one:
What's the word on Dejon Gomes? Is he going to see any action this year? Is he likely to stay on the roster? etc etc |

I have heard rumors since the summer, though I don't know if actually true, that Shanahan thinks Royster (and not Helu) is the rookie RB more capable of being a #1 back. Let's see

Re: Redskins Have No Choice, Make Royster Move
The last time we saw Royster was in the final preseason game against Tampa Bay. He fumbled on his first carry of that game. He had a few runs, but that seemingly was the reason why we haven't seen him until this season. Tashard Choice got an opportunity, but was cut too soon in my opinion. The Dallas Cowboys run defense is very good, and it wasn't Choice's fault that he had only 7 yards on six carries. Mike Shanahan micro manages entirely too much. Torain had only a 1.9 per carry average the past few games, which is mainly due to the offensive line allowing too much penetration on running plays. Choice didn't get a fair chance.
