FA WR in Vjax and RW
if we get a new QB (Peyton or RG3) we need to get these 2 studs
1. Vincent Jackson from the Chargers 2. Reggie Wayne from the colts This will be awesome with moss gafney and armstrong. |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
No thanks on both.
|
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
Armstrong won't be back, there's a chance Moss won't either, Reggie Wayne will be 34 I think and this is already being discussed.
Armstrong won't be back,
If we do end up getting Griffin, whose strength is the deep pass, I would hope that we are smart enough to keep Armstrong, whose stregth is as a deep threat. |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
We can draft or sign someone to do that. Armstrong is really just a waste of roster space.
|
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
I would like to add Wayne just because he's familiar with Peyton Manning already.
|
We already have a WR thread and AA sucks
|
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
AA will be in camp
|
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
We already have a WR thread and AA sucks
In the same scheme with a QB that didn't know the offense (McNabb) AA was second only to Mike Wallace in YPC:
44 rec 871 yards 19.8 YPC Either AA suddenly forgot how to get open deep or 2011 QB's arm talent limitations prevented him from using our best deep threat. |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
Garcon is the better receiver to sign from Indy. VJax is probably not an option if the rumors are no WRs with issues, but I do like his route running and play making ability in traffic. Id say no to Wayne.
AA is not making the team. |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
Damn the offseason. Damn it to hell. I feel like the lady in the seat.

[yt]qvPugcb7QGE[/yt]
Classic. |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
AA had an off year. I think he has the same talent as Garcon. I think we should get Desean Jackson and draft Juron Criner. That way we would have two young guys with size in Hankerson and Criner the 2 that can stretch the field in Jackson and AA.
|
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
No to both. One is a headcase and the other is on the wrong side of 30.
|
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
Why in the world would you want Wayne? Dude isn't what he use to be. Jackson I could understand because he's a beast, but he's also a risk. Isn't he done for a year if he gets into any type of incident?
Moss, Armstrong, don't count on them being back, JS. |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
Maybe this should become a FA WR thread?
I dunno about VJax. Wayne is old, unless PM wants him I say no. I would rather go after Bowe or Colston. |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
Reggie Wayne ain't all that. He would have been nothing without Peyton.
|
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
are there any rumors around of who we are actually interested in draft and FA wise?
|

AA isn't even close to the route runner Garcon is... Not even on the same field, all Anthony can do is the streak thats it |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
With Manning I'd say Garcon, Hank, Moss and Gaffney could be pretty good plus Davis and CC.
|
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
Why in the world would you want Wayne? Dude isn't what he use to be.
Maybe, but with Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky at QB he still had 75 catches for 940 yards.
And if we get Peyton Manning it makes sense from a chemistry/familiarity standpoint. And you would have to figure he'll sign a reasonable contract somewhere in the ball park of Tana/Derrick Mason 2 years ago.
Moss, Armstrong, don't count on them being back, JS.
Getting rid of Moss and Armstrong is digging a hole to fill a hole. |

This is dumb.

NOTHING! How darrrrrrrrrrrrre you. The man got 964 yards catching balls from Curtis Painter and Dan.......something. |

I was going to talks some trash, but.....yah, that number should get you a call from Roger Goodell expressing his sincerest thanx and an Instant HOF nomination........... |

And Jabbar Gaffney caught 68 balls for 947 yards from John Beck and Rex Grossman. |

Moss, Armstrong, don't count on them being back, JS.
I hope you know he did have a highly productive year, without Peyton throwing to him. |
Getting rid of Moss and Armstrong is digging a hole to fill a hole.
Not really. Hankerson is easily better than both of them, which says a lot when he didn't even play half a season. Niles Paul could replace Armstrong and get a similar outcome in performance. |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
So have our top 2 targets(VJ and FD) one F up away from a year long suspension, no thanks.
|

As bad as our QB situation was this past year, Indy's was exponentially worse. Case in point. Indy was 27th in passing yards with 2,995. Washington was 14th with 3,773. We almost had a 1,000 more yards to spread around then our friends from the Midwest. |

We're supposed to be look at the future aren't we? If this were five years ago, sure, but now, no thanks. |

Exactly. Not really the best idea.. |

Hank is better than moss? Lol how with 1 game?? |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
Hankerson COULD be better than Moss. Right now, I think he is the better OPTION. But I dont know if he is as good, but his upside is WAY higher.
|
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
No thanks on both.
I agree I really don't want Peyton or RGIII either. Flynn and Weeden are my choices. |

Thats like saying Weeden COULD BE BETTER then both Luck and RGIII. |
Re: FA WR in Vjax and RW
You are right, Hankerson may or may not be better, but being what he did in college and how he looked before getting injured, I'd think it's likely to be the case.
Much better size, bigger hands, stronger. I like Moss, don't get me wrong, but he's been on the decline and I'm not going to keep accepting the Washington Redskins to be the NFL retirement home. It's time to let him go. |

If RGIII fell to us at 6, is Flynn still your choice OR would you reach for Weeden there? |
