Is this serious.

Honestly, I don't think you did that well.

The fact that you brought back Clinton Portis and let Tim Hightower go, is enough to tell me you weren't that serious about it.

After reviewing your post, here is what I think:

I think the mods should raise the minimum required posts to allow members to start new threads from 10 to 100.
~(your valiant effort as GM)
I don't know who a lot of your picks are but judging based on the ones I know:

o i like Tannehill but very dissappointed that you have cart blanche yet still chose to carry Grossman, Beck and Crompton

o i'll be nice an assume the Portis was a joke, right?

o i would draft another TE or keep Cooley

o not sure if Herrera is an upgrade from Lichtensteiger

o Sean Locklear? Locklear better hope Mike Shanahan doesn't catch him alone on the street

o i like having a long term upgrade and solution at RT its probably one of the better moves you made and ironically you forgot to highlight it

o no upgrade at Safety? tisk, tisk

o no major upgrade at WR, sure Lance Moore is a nice WR but he's the type of receiver we already have

so, you raised zombie threads to pump your post count for this? as a 49ers fan playing redskins gm?

just, well, it looks like you don't even know who's on the team now and haven't been following them at all. 4 tes? rob myers? 8 corners? 11 wrs? you know we already had a thread for this and it's about 2 months old... you probably should have at least looked at it for "research."

ok to address everyone in order for me to improve the team I had to get other players that would make deals with me the roster is huge and obviously would be skimmed down. Basically I ended up with 3 players with a first round grade all at positions of need for the redskins.

We are starting a new game soon maybe if you told me what you guys thought were your biggest needs i could address it better.........

In the Locker Room this thread gets a capital F.

In the Fantasy Football forums (where it is now) it gets a generous B.

1. Franchise QB
2. #1 CB / #1 WR
3. #1 WR / #1 CB
4. OL (RT or g/c) and safety

if we get a #1 cb (like claiborne or grimes) hall is probably gone.
cooley stays most likely unless his health is just awful, he's cheap, we have lots of cash.

WR will be a FA signing, franchise QB will be our #1 draft pick, OL will probably be a FA deal (like grubbs). we have some decent OL guys, but the starters are weak, so bumping 1 or 2 to backups would be great.

we'd love another DE too, but i don't think it's a huge need and I don't see a guy to fall over ourselves to get (unless rak leaves in trade).

this has all been covered in the 2012 redskins thread, so i don't know why you haven't looked at that or posted this there, since that's where it belongs.

Re: I was GM for the Redskins for this game. Tell me how I did.

Everyone is bashing this thread, but I think it is amazing. Granted his team sucks, but think of the general concept. 32 people pretending to be gms, and going through an offseason. Mods, we should organize something like this. Make some rules for free agency and trades (maybe have probability (like a random number generator) play into it or have a judge rule what would happen or what is fair ). Make sure everyone knows their cap situation. It would be hella intense but I would love it. Get 32 dedicated people, and randomly assign them to 32 teams and have a free agency day, then have a draft day. Super nerds like myself would love that. If you guys are on board....I'm in the 32 for sure.

we did that once with a full 7 round mock draft... we had 32 people sign up, yet i ended up gm'ing like 10 teams due to drop outs. It was cool, but too much work.

I'd be in for 3 rounds max, 2 rounds ideally. 7 is just too much. I'd just be picking random people at positions of need after 2 rounds. But we def need 32 people for this game to work. Nobody should gm more than 1 team.

until they go mia when they should be picking etc. NCAA has great stat pages and all that, and you can kinda see late round gems there, like cooley, who had 102 catches as a fullback (b back, in his system the b back was really only there to catch passes)... and the lb's / safeties with 120 tackles a year normally are the ones that end up as productive late rounders.

you can look up the old threads, but it took a lot of work to organize, only to have some people ignore all the research and just pick a name from a hat or choose a non-need position 3 rounds too early or whatnot.
