He's baaaack!
This guy is unbelievable......FredEx just give it up man.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1988154 |
I just heard his comments on The Herd. At first I thought he was being facetious, but now I think he's just a moron that is making a name for himself the only way he knows how.
Belicheck took a shot at him last night on Jay Leno. He said that he got Rodney Harrison back by dropping two balls. Kinda funny. |
What's amazing is that when he talks he actually has a tendency to make sense. He just has no filter(like a 4 year old) and has no ability to parse his words. He justs says the first stuff off the top of his head. He didn't really say anything that controversial he was just honest. Jacksonville did suck, the game is basically just about money, the Patriots did react like little girls, he did catch fewer passes because TO played. But man does he like the sound of his own voice. Where did all this come from all of a sudden this year?
|
he has to be one of the most ignorant people in professional football...period
|
I'm so tired of hearing from this guy, I wish he would just shut his trap already. Excuses, excuses from this guy. Funny how he thinks he got under the Patriots' skin, well he's responding to them just like they did, except the Patriots got the last laugh with what really matters, the win, what a hypocrite.
He just doesn't get it. |
Looks like FedEx might not be too happy with him either, from the Philadelphia Inquirer:
As Eagles fever soared, "FredEx" shirts and caps went up for sale on wide receiver Freddie Mitchell's Web site. And now a certain delivery service - not known for dropping the ball - is taking a look at that FredEx logo, which apparently is unauthorized. Lindon Leader dazzled the design world in 1994 when he created the trademarked FedEx logo, whose right-pointing arrow shows up subtly inside the "Ex." The developer of FredEx seems to have simply snuggled a letter "r" inside the word. FedEx spokesman Jim McCluskey, noting that FedEx is the official shipper of the National Football League, said the company would "approach this in a courteous manner... . If we do find a violation of our brand, we'll ask that it stop."
|
This is the only way Mitchell can get into the headlines....certainly not for his play....lol
|
what a jackass
|
I was wondering about the logo myself, just looks too similar to the FedEx one, I knew sooner or later FedEx would have something to say about it.
|
What really struck me was that he called out his own teammate TO. You just don't do that. After TO's performance in the SB he earned alot of respect from me. The guy played like a warrier.
I'm pretty sure Freddie is as good as gone from Philly. Lets just hope that Belt Buckle Danny won't try to get him here in DC. |

Have I mentioned I hate Freddie Mitchell?
|
He has risen to my most-hated player in professional sports currently.
|

I with you. :vomit-smi |
Bill Belichick put it best in this week's Sports Illustrated:
"All he does is talk, Belichick said of Mitchell long after the game as he sat in his locker room office, his feet propped up on a desk. "He's terrible and you can print that. I was happy when he was in the game." |
Mitchell sucks. Plenty of these sports millionaires are self-serving idiots incapable of forming complete sentences or speaking intelligible english, but Mitchell can't even really play reciever, so he should shut his bray hole.

That's really saying something coming from someone like Belichick. Nobody respects a guy who talks trash but can't back it up on the field. The only reason people put up with TO's antics is because the dude can flat out play. Mitchell is a bum. If he keeps it up he's going to talk himself right of the league. Seriously, who would want a guy like this for a teammate? A guy who is a below average player who just runs his mouth. |
Re: He's baaaack!
I love it....now he's calling out Mcnabb. All you can really do is just laugh at this guy. He's a joke. Check this out...

Re: He's baaaack!
I like how he says the Eagles are the better team they just turn the ball over too much. Wonderful logic
|
Re: He's baaaack!
"Well you know that we were the better team, we just didn't score as many points. I mean, if they Patriots hadn't had QUITE as many points as we did, we would have won."
What an idiot. |
Re: He's baaaack!
Is he trying to talk himself out of a job? If he is he's doing a damn good job of it.
|
Re: He's baaaack!
I think the backlash has begun in Philly
|
Re: He's baaaack!
Trade Freddie?! Who's going to give any compensation for this guy? It should be cut Freddie.
|
Re: He's baaaack!
Matty:
Please be certain to archive this thread just in case Freddy Mitchell is released by the Eagles and signed by the Redskins. It will be amusing to see how people's opinions change about as fast as it takes the ink to dry on a contract. :) |
Re: He's baaaack!
Do you believe that will happen Curmudgeon, that the Skins would sign Freddie Mitchell?
|
Re: He's baaaack!
I will flip my lid like whoa if the Redskins were to sign him. He is a DISEASE.
|
Re: He's baaaack!
smootsmack:
Do I believe it will happen? NO. But I have learned over the last 5 years NEVER to be surprised by the personnel moves made by the Washington Redskins' Front Office braintrust. And the Skins are indeed looking to upgrade themselves at WR. And Joe Gibbs did really well with a bunch of little guys at WR in the past. And Freddy Mitchell would be a guy whose contract would be really "cap freindly". So even if it is a longshot, I think this thread ought to be archived just for the humor value if it comes to pass... |
Re: He's baaaack!
Why would we sign Mitchell??
I can't see Gibbs hearing what he's said over the past month and thinking signing him would be a good idea. Is he Gibbs material?? Not even close. Besides, the guy stinks. If the Skins sign him I'm shutting down the site. |
Re: He's baaaack!
Matty:
Well, in that case, there would be no reason to archive this thread because there would be no site on which to view it... |
Re: He's baaaack!
I wouldn't worry about it.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Eagles cut him and nobody pick him up. Who wants this kind of crap from a guy who doesn't produce?? If he was a star who hauled in 90 passes and 10 TD's a year I could see it, but a guy who has 90 career catches in 4 seasons?? Gimme a break, he's a dime a dozen kind of WR. |

I love the Fredo Corleone reference.... |
