I hope we play Gryphon more and open up the offense a little more against Da Bears so that we can see some zone read options, run/pass options, etc.

Just heard Mike and Mike say that Wittens injury may be more serious than thought and will probably need surgery.

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Guys Im lookin forward to seeing more of this week:
1. Alfred Morris, it seems he might get the start and id like to see what he can to against the bears starting defense. 2. Aldrick Robinson, this kid is really fast and very quick. I hope he get reps in the first half not only at WR but P/K returner too. 3. Niles Paul, Im a big fan of him and think he had an off day last thursday but am looking forward to him bouncing back and showing off his hands. 4. Keenan Robinson, like to see more of him in coverage and I like how he flies around the field. |

I want him on the team... |

I heard the same thing. |
Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Out for the preseason. Will be reevaluated then. Could have surgery if not improved.

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
What they've said online and on-air since last night "will be reevaluated in a week and may need surgery if it hasn't improved" is not the same thing as "worse than thought and will probably need surgery"

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Seems like Shanahan really likes this Morris kid. I'm wondering who goes it he ends up making the team.
|
Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Of course he likes him. He plays RB.

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
If Alfred shows further potential this week, I can see Mike sacrificing to keep 4 backs. The problem remains as far as durability, he might keep them all just to make sure he has a back that can play if they keep getting injured.
LoAx has his hands full, can't come over to runningback. |
Aj green is a freak! Bengals should be good this year
|
Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Alfred will get a lot of carries this Saturday. Tristan Davis too. One may emerge from those two
|
Gb looks sluggish so far this ps.. Atlanta has the, best receiving corp in the league IMO.

Quotes from the article: read the allegation:
The suit alleges that Cowboys Stadium posted no warning signs alerting fans that the benches could be hot.
Then read the description of the bench:
Temperatures ... were more than 100 degrees, and the bench that Carrillo sat on was black. "The bench was uncovered and openly exposed to the extremely hot August sun," the suit... states. "The combination of the nature of the black, marble bench and hot sunlight caused the bench to become extremely hot and unreasonably dangerous."
uh... DUH!!! |
Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
It's Texas in the summer, of course it's going to be hot. Did this person just move there from New Hampshire or something?

Yeah, he came in from New Hampshire and he was seen carrying a hot McDonald's coffee into the game as well, which he promptly spilled on himself after he sat on that hot black seat. Really??? See this is what is wrong with this country, everything that is bad that happens to you is not your fault. Stick it to the man! Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Plus doesn't marble stay cool or at least not get that hot.
A year ago I went to this local Mexican restaurant and my then 3 year old son went to wash his hands and the water was boiling hot that came out of the bathroom sink it made his hands really red and we went to the local walk in clinic for it. He ended up being fine just need some cream and what not. It never crossed my mine once to sue those people. I actually beat myself up about it for not testing the water first. Just amazes me what some people think they should be safe guard from. There are just simply inherited risk in life. I remember one lady at one of my Marriott properties I worked at she got several hundred thousand because she tore up her knee. Instead of walking on the shoveled path she decide walking across the snow covered grass and fell thus tearing her knee up. Marriott settled out of court but how could that possible been the hotel's fault, unreal. |

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
Sorry to rant on that last post, lots of sarcasm in that post, I hope you guys know. But seriously, do people learn any common sense growing up these days? I am sorry, but if I sat down on a hot seat, the last thing that would go through my mind would be to sue someone. I would be cussing myself for being so stupid.

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
I don't know, seems kinda dumb to build a bench made out of black marble that's only going to bake and soak up heat in the Texas sun. Asking for trouble if you ask me.

While Matty makes a good point about the bench, I still think if a person sits down somewhere and the thing they sit on is hot, they should be smart enough to get up instead of sitting on it long enough to get 3rd degree burns on their ass. That woman sounds pretty stupid to me. And if she wins (very realistic given other frivolous lawsuits that were awarded damages in the past) all this is going to do is force signs to be put up warning people that benches and possibly other things will be hot. The money needed for such things will have to come from somewhere else, which means more money will be wasted on things that aren't needed. Most people have common sense, and if we have to protect the idiots that don't have common sense it will only hurt us in the future. |
Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
You have to be drunk to keep sitting on a bench that was literally burning your ass off.

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
I can't imagine she quickly sat on a bench with clothes on and jumped right back up and sustained burns like this:

eww come on man

Re: Around the NFL...Preseason Week 2 Style
I am still with Matty in terms of why would you build a black/marble bench that is going to be soaking up the sun, for people to sit in. Now this was in California, but it still gets sunny and hot there. I know I brought it up b/c it was the Cowboys and it is funny to me, but I think it'd be stupid for any team to have this in their facilities.

I am always confused if 1st degree is the worst case scenario or if 4th degree is. Now that the above picure is burned (pun intended) into my skull I will never forget. |
