Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Anybody think this is interesting? Apparently Clevelands Crennel has decided to allow the 4 year vet, Warren, to seek a trade? Do we need another DT. Seemed to be a major question before last year.

Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
No way. Warren is overpaid and an underperformer.
|
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
no,no,no, what has warren done lately? I hope we can send Coles somewhere like tenesse or Cleveland for a first rounder
|
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
i wouldnt do it for just warren, warren and a 2nd rounder id do
|
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
their first round pick or no deal. Id trade coles, and noble for warren and their first. I think noble is going to get cut anyways
|
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Warren is Darrel Russell without the drugs. He not only "takes plays off"; he sometimes takes a whole game off.
Very risky bringing him in here... |
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
We don't need defense. Noble/Salava'a (assuming we can retain Salave'a) do just fine next to Griffen!
|
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
First, I doubt we'd get anything higher than the 25th through 45th pick. Everyone knows Coles wants to leave and we may release him. Everyone also knows about Coles' toe. So, forget about getting a high first round pick for Coles.
Second, I do think we need some new blood on defense. With Smoot's likely departure, we either need a new corner or a pass-rushing threat on the defensive line. While I like Walt Harris, he's not as good as Smoot and he's getting long in the tooth. If we lose some of our ability to cover, you need to make it up with some pass-rushing threat. While Griffin played great last season, he alone doesn't bring consistent pressure on the quarterback. Salave'a and Wynn are good run stuffers, but they don't provide a pass rush. Warner, Evans, and Daniels don't get consistent pressure either. While Williams is good at masking weaknesses on defense, he can't hide what is apparent to everyone - we don't have a pass rush without blitzing linebackers or defensive backs. Regardless of how good our linebackers and DBs are, you bring some heat with them and you also open up holes. |
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Here we go again, did you guys see fox sports, meet the new Randy Moss (Mike Williams), we've blew it guys, not only did we let Randy Moss slip out of our fingers, now Minnesota, is bound to take Mike Williams, and will groom him, I hate have to watch shit like this happen, now we talking about trading Coles the hell with that, he stays, and bring Burress in, or we are screwed....I mean screwed, who hell wants to wait until Taylor becomes good or, get Davis Sorry Ass from Cleveland....no, no, no....If Coach Gibbs have another Radio Show, I will be questioning this move...I want SuperBowls, not good people or Core Group of Guys.....SuperBowls.....SuperBowls....I don't want Mark Clayton, or any other WR in the Draft

Man i'm sure glad your not incharge of things. |
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Wow White don't even know how to respond. Are you telling me Mike Williams is the only sure fire reciever in the draft. Haha, the man has zippy speed I mean we are talking 4.6 4.7 speed. My opinon can change if he shows me that he has worked out and has at least gotten to 4.5. I know he is tall and has tremendous ability, but I do not see him as a sure thing a WR. Don't be surprised due to his size and ability that he may be asked to put on about 15-20 pounds and try tight end. As for the other WR's they are all really solid espeically Mark Clayton. He may be the best all around reciever in this draft as far as stats and attributes go. If Minnesota takes Williams it would be a mistake they still have three very solid recievers with Kelly Campbell, Marcus Robinson, and Nate Burelson. They need defense really bad or a RB. I do not see them taking a wideout.
|
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
A RB? They have Moe Williams, Onterrio Smith, Mewelde Moore, and Michael Bennett - they aren't going RB.
Troy Williamson isn't a bad receiver either. There's a lot of time between now and draft day! What scares me is as a Redskin Mike Williams will actually get called when he pushes off - which he does constantly. |
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Does Warren have a last name or should I just call him Warren?
Which Warren...Sapp? |
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Gerard Warren...though Warren Moon or Warren Harding would have been acceptable as well
|
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Phew, for a second there I thought everybody meant Chris Warren. :/

Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
As Ramsey Fan said don't expect a 1st rounder from Coles. We were obligated to give the Jets the 1st rounder as we signed him as a Restricted Free Agent. Plus his toe injury and the fact he never really caught any balls over 30 yards last year make speople skeptical. Warren and a draft pick would be fine as I do not think they could get more then a 3rd for him. He does get preasure on the QB. Had a off year last year due to injuries where he only played 13 games. Othere then that expect about 5 sacks a year. Just a thought. Who would you trade with then?
As for as Mike Williams being the next Randy Moss. I don't think so, no body could approach the game with such arrogance as Moss. If we don't get him then there will be someone else. Rember all the people last year clammering for Winslow, well Gibbs and company seemed to make a correct choice with Taylor so let it go man. |
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
The Moss comparison isnt accurate. It's not any better, but if i compared him to someone, it would be TO.
|
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
No...draft pick for Coles. The Redskins need to go back to drafting players. The Redskins do not have a #2 this year i would rather see them add a #2 pick for Coles than some other teams over paid problems.

Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Ok Skinforlife28, I'm sure all the teams that passed up on Moss, the year he was drafted said the same thing, I mean you trying to tell me Mark Clayton is better than Mike Williams, and who remember the other WR drafted the Year Randy Moss was, yea that's what I thought, If Minnesota takes Williams and he has a break out year, then I'll see if your side GM ability worked, and If we go 6-10, because we think were NE, were not, Skinforlife or Scamforlife, why wouldn't Minnesota take Williams they can imporve in FA.....just don't respond unless you know facts, Clayton not even a Top 3 receivers in the draft, not even

Only notables to come out were Dyson, Hines Ward, and Az Hakim. So the Vikings needed a WR and they got the best one on the board, no doubt. But to compare a player to Moss is absurd. Williams might not be the 2nd comming of any great recievers and Mark Clayton truly is not a bad pick. Question really here is character, for that alone we are lucky we do not have Randy Moss. Clayton is a top 3 WR. It goes Williams then Edwards or visa versa then Clayton. Who else is ahead of these 3 at WR, in anybodies profiles. Please let us see where you have found these facts. KNOW YOUR FACTS DUDE!!! And don't call people names as that is truly Moss-like.

Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
Warren is apparently going to Denver for a 4th round pick
|
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
denver is royally messing up therir dline. Apparently they want to go to 3-4 becuase its cheaper to sign linebackers, and according to an article on espn Denver has never been able to keep a dline together for 100 years
|
Re: Warren for Coles Even Up Trade?
i'd much rather have a defensive end then a dtackle
