I'd love to see that as much as I'd love see the Redskins in the Super Bowl.

An Orioles v. Nats World Series is a win/win for me. No matter which team wins, I'm thrilled.

I'm no Yanks fan but Robinson Cano is a monster. 2 more weeks in the season and he'd win the Triple Crown.

4/4 last night. 2 HRs, 6 RBIs. Yankees best Boston 14-2 to lock up the East and #1 seed.

In his last 9 games, he's 24 for his last 39 with 10 extra-base hits, 14 RBIs and just 3 strikeouts.

He hits the ball like RGIII throws a deep ball...makes it look so effortless.


They're going to be tough to beat. Their #7 hitter has 43 HRs (Granderson, he his 2 last night and almost spoiled it for Miguel Cabrera). Even their #9 hitter Russell Martin has over 20 HRs.

Yankees vs. Nats!


So Strasberg is not coming back for the playoffs? Stupidity.

I think this extra WC spot is unnecessary since it's for a 1-game "play-in" game. I hate the play-in games for the NCAA basketball tournament too.

With baseball especially, a 1-game series is a crapshoot.

Biggest disaster ever, but I loved watching it happen to Boston. Then at the end of the year, they traded away (gave away) most of the team's talent. They're going to be irrelevant for a few more years.

I have a friend who is a Red Sox and Eagles fan somehow...he was silent this season!

Now, to shut him up about the Eagles...

The fielder doesn't have to be in the infield for rule to apply, still a curious judgement call by the umpire. Maier, this, and the Denkinger calls most controversial I can ever remember

This isn't even remotely close. These guys should be suspended and fined for making this type of call. Also should NEVER be allowed to UMP a playoff game again. EVER. How you not reverse this is beyond me.

Today's game had me so nervous I seriously thought I was going to puke. I'm just glad the Nats were able to pick up the win because I really don't like being the higher seed in this 2-3 format.
I can't wait for game 3 on Wednesday; section 222, here I come!!!

I'll be at BWW with a couple friends to watch. After going to 12 games this year for roughly 120 bucks plus the cost of a couple beers/food, me and my friend are going to hope we can get standing room tix for at least one game this week.

Great game from the Nats today, I really thought the Nats' lack of postseason experience would make them overcompensate and push too hard, but even though I felt they were pressing at some points we still had guys make key plays at key moments (Mattheus, T. Moore) that helped us get the win.

Game three for the Nats was just scheduled for 1pm on Wednesday. F!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This means I'm going to have to ask for the whole day off since I work near BWI, and of course this would be the week my primary back up is on vacation and I'm pretty busy.

Looks like the boss is going to let me take a full PTO day, but I might be screwed if games 4/5* end up being early too.

After scrambling yesterday afternoon and today to make sure I'm okay to take all day off work tomorrow there's pretty much no way I can also take a half day on Thursday. I already talked to my Dad and he's in the same boat, so he's going to sell our tickets to a friend.
