Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Bob's 1st Divisional game. A game where if we lose, someone will comment that we could beat the Giants with Grossman, how could we lose with Griffin. It's at the Meadowlands, but my first prediction is that at some point over the TV we will be able to here a loud RGIII RGIII RGIII chant. This guy has a national following already. JPP gave his warning shot to Griffin, Osi gave Griffin his best nickname. It's 3 days away.
I'll go positive Skins: 33 Giants: 30 As an old man used to say: What sayeth the mob? |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Redskins 37
Vagiants 27 Barry Cofield with 4 sacks. |
My heart says skins by 3
My gut says giants by 7 I'll go skins in a big upset 29-27 |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
we've beat them twice last year.... i think we will go deep early and often... blitz eli alot and get sacks when we need them.... crush the run game and control the clock... skins shock everyone in a big way.. the handcuffs come completely off and when we have a foot on the blue throats we only lift it to stomp harder.
skins - 45 giants - 20 |

skins - 45 giants - 20
I don't know about the final, but I agree that the Skins playbook will be opened a lot further now that we are hitting the division run. I would be surprised if we don't see alot of play off the triple back formations. Even they look crazy as all, the pressure on the defense to defend the whole width of the field is exactly what Shanahan has always wanted his offense to do. Now if we can force the defense to defend the vertical as well (which I guarantee Griffins TD run will do to some degree), then we ought to be able to take advantage of best available one on one matchups |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Skins - 24
Giants - 20 |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
yea the giants will rush wide, trying the best to conatin griffin which i think will open up the draws to morris

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
If you look at the statistics the Giants have shredded teams with terrible defenses scoring 41 on Tampa, 36 on Carolina, and 41 on Cleveland. The SF game was a result of Alex Smith putting his defense in a bad position. Statistically SF offense is ranked in the top 10 but Alex Smith blew that game. I think this game will be high-scoring. The Giants have not seen an elite QB yet. Two loses to divisional teams says something. A third would put them in a difficult position. In these situations I believe the underdog has the advantage.
Skins 44 Giants 41 |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
I predict Banks will throw a pass.
Also, Santana's first reverse of the year will catch them completely off-guard since Banks has been the guy for that play. Griffin will throw for more TDs than run this time. Another defensive score...possibly a safety though. |
I have mad respect for the giants, IMO they r the most talented team in the league. If we pull this one out MS stays for a long time in my book
|
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Skins win, Giants commit too many errors.
RGIII is for real, this game brings out the bandwagon/Glory Hunter fans. |

He was 2-0 against them last year with Grossman. Wouldn't that be better for job security than winning when the team is actually good? :D |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
If we win this one, I would go out on the limb to say we beat Pittsburgh AND Carolina to go into the bye 6-3. That's how significant I believe a win would be.

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Skins 30
Dwarfs 24 Morris runs wild. |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
I don't see the NY Midgets winning this game. The Redskins already have the blue print on how to play against Eli Manning. I know the defense has been below average this year, but they are familiar with Manning. All they have to do is duplicate the things they did against the Giants- I mean the Midgets offense last year.
Offensively, the Redskins need to run Alfred Morris. That zone blocking scheme of Shanahan's needs to be effective. The Redskins should be able to take shots downfield to Morgan, Briscoe, or Hankerson. Fred Davis has been known to expose and exploit the Midgets secondary like he did in the 1st game last year and get open underneath. Redskins 30 Midgets 21 |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
I believe Alfred Morris is going to have his best game of the season, and that opens up some big plays with RG3s arm. Eli throws a couple picks and gets sacked 4 times, and we get a ST touchdown.
Redskins - 33 Giants - 28 write it down |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
If NY plays the way they did last week then we have 0 chance. They have the ability to dominate and we don't. I think they win this one.... Giants 34 Skins 20.

Maybe but those games really meant nothing for us, THIS GAME is HUGE! I can't wait to watch |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
meant nothing? it was the first game of the season.. and i forget wen the 2nd one was but id hardly say it meant nothing....

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
people keep talking about last year and i have no idea why. bottom line is they won the SB and we had a losing record. yeah we beat them but that has nothing to do with this year.

Well, I agree to an extent. BUT (which really means you should ignore my agreement) Our team was considerably worse on offense, yet Kyle was able to draw up schemes which took advantage and put us in a position to win, and did it with a qb who was fairly one dimensional, and this OLine. We have apparently added a qb that has more than one dimension in a game, and kept our running game solid. So, we conceivably should do as well or better on offense. Our defense was able to hold the Giants in check, and again, they have not really done much to upgrade, they simply are playing at a high level. It is reasonable to look at last year, and say that we seem to know how to scheme the defense to stop them, so it comes down to execution. Ultimately, this is a new year, but I would say that knowing we beat them 2 times last year at the least keeps our team from thinking they are invincible (like when they beat us several years in a row), and with the new found belief that Griffin can bring us back or put us in a position to win any game, our team will be able to play with a full cup of confidence. That's what last year's games do. (and besides Grossman can tell Griffin all week the secrets to beating them;)) |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
I think we should make Cousins inactive and have Grossman on hand as the backup. He seems to have the Giants' number. I'm being completely serious.
|
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Redskins 42
Giants 34 |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Since weve won games Ive predicted us to lose and lost when Id thought we win Im gonna stick with the trend and say we lose.
Giants probably underestimated us last yr with Grossman{or as I heard Mortensen call him,RG3 and out} Giants are playing at high level and are at home. They will not take us lightly this game Giants 48 Skins 35 |

Na. I think after last week they are dead serious with their posts and predictions for a Skins win. With that said, I am hoping with the rest of em' Unfortunately, Giants will most likely shred our D... And I would not put it past their D to take a cheap shot or two at Griff. |

I agree Eli could really put up some big numbers this week, only thing is we've given up 300 plus yards to every qb so far so maybe we get a different outcome this time |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Manning to Cruz will eat up our secondary..........but we can score too :)

My gut says giants by 7 I'll go skins in a big upset 29-27
Most likely already pointed out since I'm late to the party... but your heart says Skins by 3, and gut says Giants by 7. So you pick the Skins and only give them a 2 point margin? I'm terrible at math but I'll try to help you out... Skins: 30 (3 TD's with extra point and 3 FG's) Giants: 27 |

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Personally, after last weeks game the Giants are named the leagues best team or something like that. How soon we forget they have played 2 teams in the division and lost to both. Wasn't the Bucs the team with the least yrds allowed running and we ran pretty decent against them.
The toughest part of this game is we are playing in NY. I think the Skins can take this one out from under the Giants and bring them back down to earth after their big win against the 49ers. Remember, it seems like any team can win on any given week. Didn't Houston lose to Miami? Skins: 31 Giants: 27 |
I think we lose by 6 in a heart breaker. Both scoring in the mid to high 30's. their O will be just to much for our D.

Skins 38 Jints 37 HTTR
I wouldn't worry about Victor Cruz. We've already faced WRs like Percy Harvin, Julio Jones, Roddy White, A.J. Green, Lance Moore, and Danny Amendola. I think the Redskins secondary can contain Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz. |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Giants 35
Skins 31 We do great the whole game, but our defense collapses in the 4th quarter and Eli throws a dump off TD with 40 seconds left. Griffin gets sacked 3 times, hit constantly, and throws a pick, but he also throws for over 300 and 3 TDs, runs for one and Morris gets in |
