Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
First half run, second half pass, run up the points* for our first decisive win of the season.
Newton pouts some more post-game. All-in-all a great way to enter the bye. * Defying logic and throwing confusion into the Panthers D. |
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
Redskins 60, Panthers 52. Something tells me that ZERO defense is played this game.
I know those scores are kind of a joke, but I see something in the 40s. |
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
Ill im saying is that we better win. No excuses
|
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
If we win, then we can hopefully look forward to Merriweather and Garcon coming back the week after and that might really get us on a roll if we can get this tiny little win.
|
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions

merriweather "aims" to suit up sunday

Merryweather has an outside chance to play Sunday. Garcon, per sources at Redskin Park, is still limping badly around the place. I would think Merryweather is a go after the bye, but I honestly think that Garcon may be done for the year. He cannot do anything on it. Game prediction Redskins 31 Panthers 28 Morris to the house, RG3 to the house, Josh Morgan to the house. D Hall makes everyone forget he is a tool and picks off two passes. Forbath hits the game winner. |
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
ouch, meriweather needs to watch himself in the pregame.
too bad about garcon, he never should have let rex ryan rub his feet... |
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
If Garcon isn't good after the bye, it's time to just go ahead with the surgery.
|
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
If Garcon isn't good after the bye, it's time to just go ahead with the surgery.
i would agree, depending on recovery time. if it's as long a road as coming back from an acl, then yeah, do it now. if it's only a couple months, i say keep playing the wait and see game.

What, you don't think our crack training staff can get him better? I am getting visions of Malcomb Kelly all over again....:screama: |
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
The Redskins should be able to win. I think after last week's poor showing against Pittsburgh, the Redskins will run all over the Panthers for 4 quarters.
|
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
I have no idea which team will win on Sunday.
If the Skins lose, then I'll probably be miserable for at least two weeks. If the Skins win, then I'll be looking forward to the rest of the season after the bye week. |

I think we all said the same thing last year coming of the 20-13 loss to Philly.. |
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
The Panthers are in disarray as the real Cam Newton begins to come out.
Skins 27 Car 17 |
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
Skins 38
Big Pussies 34 |
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
24-20 Panthers. Bad homefield advantage and poor defense from us.
|
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
The Panthers are a bad team this year, and this is a pivotal game for Mike's regime. Must win gets cliched, but it's really the case here. If we don't pull out a win I think it says a lot about how this team sees itself, its leadership, and what direction it's headed.
Skins 28 Panthers 17 |

It won't be that bad. Kelly was injury prone when we drafted him and the Skins knew it. This is just pure bad luck with Garcon. Look towards the future! |
24-20 Panthers. Bad homefield advantage and poor defense from us.
I would like to ask a generic question for those who see us getting 20 or less. That equates to 4 successful drives (2 stalled but successful ones) assuming no defensive points. Typically, we could expect 8-10 drives (2 per quarter, sneaking one or two in). Our offense has moved the ball effectively, our kicker seems good (unless this is his turn to not show up :( ) and although I don't know our drive conversion rate, I would think it's better than 50%. Their D is middle of the pack, not better than most we have played. So the question is, how do our drives get stopped this week? |

Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
What NFL player doesn't have an injury history?
That said I don't see where Garcon missed any significant time during his time in Indy. Pierre Garcon, WR for the Washington Redskins at NFL.com |
Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
He has only played in al 16 games once in his career. Played in 14 games 4 times. Not injury prone per se, but seems to have something every year. This, by far, the worst he had

And in 09 he DID have a hand injury that caused him to miss the last 2 games of the season. In 2010 he was a starter but was inactive for 2 games. In 2011 he did start. Injury doesn't seem to be a problem with him. |

Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
I hope he gets this toe thing healed up and is ready to go next year. I would not be surprised him going IR post bye week. He can be an impact player and a big time weapon when healthy.

Re: Panthers v. Redskins Predictions
If you're hurt, you're hurt. Simple as that. Nothing you can do about it. If a game had playoff implications I'm sure Pierre would play and push himself. But unfortunately some injuries linger. I don't see Pierre being close to 100% anytime soon.

Didn't you call Helu a sissy for not being able to play through his injuries?? |
