Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
I know, I know, its early, and we should savior the Eagles win, but its a short week which only gives us 2 days to make predictions. I imagine you men will be too busy shoveling turkey in your face and screaming at the TV to come online and post. So, predictions.
Let's hear em. |

I'm worried about our defense but I'm going to say Griff carries the team and shows the nation how damn good he is.

Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
Cowboys up 7 - 0 at the half, Redskins win by 14.
Absolutely insane, infuriating game, both teams seemingly trying to lose with bright spots of RGIII. Jerruh has a Primetime TV tantrum on the sidelines. |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
Momentum continues. The turkey tastes good.

Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
Hopefully the secondary won't miss Brandon Meriweather that much. Madieu Williams and Reed Doughty needs to step up. Let's hope Tony Romo continues his downward spiral of tossing interceptions.
Redskins 38 Cowboys 21 |
We will knock Staubach out of the game and Clint Longley will.....wait -
Seriously we ended a few weird losing streaks - vs eagles, rookie qb's, after the bye week, last week and the party will continue. We hammer the snot out of Romo and without Clint Longley there to save the day we beat Dallas on Turkey Day! Good Guys- 34 Bad Guys- 17 Edit: my lucky squawk avatar continues to work its magic. Had Matty slap it on me for the Birds and said I would leave it until we lose. |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
34 points would be sweet (as long as our D doesn't give up 40). I think RGIII's speed will be even more apparent on turf (as it was in New Orleans).
|
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
It all depends if Haslett deviates from a pressure defense, to a no pressure defense like he has done before. Example is Rams game after the NO game.
|
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
It's RGIIIs homecoming. He will respond well as this pro game is not too big for him.
|
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
RGIII dropped back 26 times and only attempted 15 passes. The O line needs to protect better, receivers need to get open and RGIII needs to get the ball out. Or he can just run for 100 yards. Whatever.
Skins 27 Cowboys 24 Furious 4th quarter comeback by the Cowgirls falls short. |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
Cowboys - 30
Redskins - 34 We win it on a last minute drive by RG3 to seal the deal. QB shotgun draw from the 13 yard line with 22 seconds to go on 2nd down and no timeouts. Dez Bryant slaps his mother after the game cause he is so mad. |

Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
If there is one player on the team that could be the key to the defense making an improvement, it's Jarvis Jenkins. He's been like a ghost all season, yesterday I saw him either cause a fumble or recover one (can't remember) if this guy was to make a push on the line it would make a huge difference in my opinion. I hope what I saw yesterday is the beginning of regaining his old form.

Something is wrong with Jenkins. He's either not in game shape or simply hasn't regained his form from before he was injured. ACL injuries are tough, and I should be okay. Perhaps he's not still 100%. |

He also was involved in a sack with Josh Wilson, by far his best game and hopefully something to build on. |

I didn't get a chance to see the game yesterday. I'm really big on J.J. Jenkins no doubt will be back to his old self by next year's training camp. But in all honesty a long look should be given to Chris Baker. At least for now. |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
On the flipside, I can't wait to see how the Cowboys use Ware to Griffin, it will be fun watching RG3 run from him. This aint no Rex Grossman this year cowgirls!

Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
I would also like to add that it sure if fun to read the opposing teams fanboard and hear what they like to say:
Cowboyzone.com "If we couldnt get but one sack against Brandon Weeden, what makes you think we can muster up any against Griffin? He will shred us." "Prediction ... RG3 starts his owning of the Cowboys game 1 ... goes for about 4 TDs. Final Score 35-17 Redskins. How bad do you think RG3 wants to play well ... this is national TV ... thanksgiving ... Jerry's Cathedral. This will be an RG3 Love fest by the end of the game." "Just two weeks ago they hung a wopping 13 on the Panther, and lost. I'd worry more about the rookie RB at this point." "When did the Skins get so good? Reading this thread you would think they are 10-0 at this point. Bottom line is they suck! They put a beat down on a team that is mailing it in with a lame duck coach and a not so good rookie QB, good for them. This week they get the beat down has things start to come together for Dallas. 31-13 Cowboys!" "i predict that rg3 will make our stupid, undisciplined players look even more so." "I don't think I've ever seen such pessimism on this forum. Okay, so Washington beat Philadelphia and RG3 threw 4 td passes. Philadelphia QB turned the ball over on his own 9, his own 14, and the Redskins 19 (this one while the game was close.) If Vick had played, Philly would have probably won this one." "Cowboys lose by 14 if they play there best or lose by 30ish if they play like today" In summary a lot of Dallas fans think they're going to lose to us. For every 5 Skins win comments, there was 1 Cowboys will win. I'm just even more excited for this game! |

I only remember Foles turning it over once deep in their own end, did he do it twice? |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
he tossed 2 ints, but someone on the iggles fumbled too.

Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
I hate to pin the hopes of the game on RGIII's shoulders, but it is what it is. I will say that he seems to love the pressure, and big time games, so I am expecting to see plays that just make your jaw drop, DWare may not ever want to face him again.

If I'm Dallas, I put Ware on the left side for the entire game facing Tyler Polumbus (the human turnstile). If they do, RGIII will be wearing Ware on Thursday unless the Skins give Polumbus a lot of help (which causes it's own set of protection problems). |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
i have hopes for a win, and cringe at the thought of romo shredding us.

Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
Wow, interesting comments from the Cowboys fans. I tend to agree with their assessment. RGIII owns them this Turkey Day. Jerrah has a huge meltdown and in the offseason spends much of Dallas's resources to try and stop him only to fail miserably.
|
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
The Cowboy killer comes alive and Moss has his best game of the year. Morris has a great day running and RGIII makes enough plays to have the game put away by the forth. We also sneak Cooley out for a 5 yrd TD catch.

I know two int's but the poster on their board said one at their 9 and one at their 14? |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
I felt really good about this game before I knew Meriweather was def out. I don't think we're as good as we looked last week, or nearly as bad as we looked the two weeks before. Dallas is struggling, I think Rg3 is going to play lights out... and I have a good feeling The Skins' will pull it out in a close game. 31-26. Still really worry about our defense though.

Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
Redskins: a lot 35
Cowboys: a little bit 0 |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
RG3 2 passing TD's one Rushing = 21
Morris 1 Rushing TD = 7 Forbath 2 Field Goals = 6 Redskins - 34 Romo 2 passing TD's = 14 ? Running Back 0 TD's = 0 Bailey 3 of 4 Field Goals = 9 Cowboys - 23 |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
Redskins 31
Cowboys 17 Romo throws two INTs and fumbles once. RGIII throws three TD passes and Morris runs for one TD. |

Jones did re-injure the bum knee and was replaced by Dunbar who stank it up the rest of the game. That's why i put the ? at RB for Dallas. |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
Dallas is beatable but they're still better than we are. Plus it's a short week and a road game. Dallas by 10. Hope I'm wrong though..

Cowboyzone.com
A quick warning-- the actual website is cowboyszone.com. Notice the "s" in there. Cowboyzone.com appears to be super weird cartoon porn. I'm not surprised, and well done if that was intentional. I expect to be hearing from OIT soon. |
Re: Redskins v. Dallas Turkey Day Edition Predictions
RG3 comes home.... fans cheer. 2 rushing TDs, 1 passing TD, 1 TD by Morris. Romo at least 2 picks, defense all over Romo all day. Kerrigan 1 1/2 sack, Jackson 2 sacks. D Hall pick six.
40 burger ----- Who cares how many touchdowns the Cowboys get in the 4th quarter. |

I want to be "big" on Jenkins too but, so far he's just a body. He and Baker seem to be of the same caliber regardless of where they were drafted. But then again, if the DL had a exceptional NT, maybe one or both of them would appear to shine. |
