Answer me these questions 3:Seahawks v Skins Prediction Thread

What is the final score?

Who is the difference maker?

What is Pete Carroll's record in away playoff games in the NFL?

Ok, so maybe I can't imitate Monty Python very well, and My question 3 is nowhere as fascinating as the Warpath's, but still, it's Friday, we have a big game on Sunday, and the world is expecting the Seahawks to come in and win.

Without further ado:

Skins 24
Seahawks 21

Post yours too.

Everybody has benn bragging about how the Seahawks have only allowed more than 24 points twice, so I will stick with that:
Skins: 24
Seahawks: 17

Bonus prediction: Wilson attempts hail mary at end of game Golden Tate and Josh Wilson go up for the ball and Wilson makes the game ending int.

I think I went to school with a Hugh Day.. :oink:

During the streak I've abstained from making a prediction so I'm going to stay superstitious and do the same.

However, I think Griffin outplays Wilson, Lynch has a decent day yardage wise but our defense keeps him bottled up in the red zone and Kerrigan makes two impact plays on defense.

24-20 Redskins.

Difference is the turnover battle which Redskins will win, Redskins will allow a lot of yards but will limit seahawks to fieldgoals and force mistakes.

skinsfaninok 01-04-2013 08:55 AM

DIFFERENCE MAKER IS DLINE. STOPPING Lynch.

Skins win a tight one 23-20

27-24

Who wins? I don't know. Seattle has a better defense. We are at home. Both teams have good rookie QBs. Both teams have great running games. Seattle wins scoring a last second TD.

I'll say this Seattle has small LBs. I don't think they can take down Morris that easily. I also expect to see some trick plays from Seattle and us.

Literally, this game can be one by either team. And rightfully so, we're both hot playoff teams.

I believe (and this rests solely on Justin Smith of the 49ers health) that the winner of this game represents the NFC in the super bowl.

RGIII makes the Seahags secondary dance, a la Cowboys last game. 46 runs for another 200, our D look All-Pro and the score isn't close.

Cue the media fawning that we've all been doing since New Orleans.

Seattle's run defense is not nearly as good on the road as it is at home. Same goes for Russell Wilson. So at the Fedex of Eternal Peril, I predict:

Skins 24
Chickens 20

with # 46 again playing the role of difference maker

And yet again, I refuse to make a scoring prediction as that seems to be a good superstition for me to adhere to for these past seven weeks, but I will leave you with this little nugget:

The Seattle Seahawks will not be able to stop Alfred Morris, and will make a dangerous assumption that Griffin III is not 100%.

Re: Answer me these questions 3:Seahawks v Skins Prediction Thread

The Seahawks are a tough as nails team, especially since they incorporated the read option zone mesh to their playbook. The keys the redskins winning the game is pretty simple...a) the hawks aren't playing at home and b) the hawks are playing away.

They are bi-polar team and their strength comes from playing at home and the loudness of their fans. Their defense is a solid bunch but they are a cheating SOBs. By cheating, I mean, they take a lot risks and jump routes a lot so if you have an accurate QB with vision and a few good WRs you're going to get them and all of a sudden they're in zone defense. Do not let them play bump-and-run all game long.

Teams don't change how they play so on offense we have to do three things to win this game. They will stack the line with SS Kam Chancellor and play physical bump-and-run. You have to make sure they pay for doing that with a successful vertical attack.

On Offense:

1) Attack the their DBs by having one WR going deep often, have the slot guy on a inside slant to freeze the free safety and have him make a decision, and challenge Sherman with slant and go route. I guarantee you that you'll get him for a TD or a PI.

2) Give Aflred Morris the rock 30 times. They are soft but fast on the edges and if you're challenging their DB you will have running lanes all day. Those fat fcks they have in the middle aren't track stars so zone blocking is going to wear them out real quick.

3) Let RG3 run like it's 1999. Have him attack on the defense often and early. If you don't attack the Hawks early then you're playing their game.

On Defense:

The game play should be exactly like the one we had against the Cowboys. Play man coverage, LB edge safety responsibility, and Fletcher or Riley up the middle. Wilson can be confused but he' really good at improvising so you must be disciplined in your coverage and you have to attack him with your front 7 just like the Rams did.

When it's all said and done the the score should be 20-17 Redskins. I can't wait to shit on these Hawks fans after the game.

Going to a Hawks game is an experience!

1) No one sits down during the game, like ever! It could be the most meaningless game you've ever been to and these mofos are still standing up.

2) They all scream non stop, all the fcking time. A few years ago during the playoffs the seismometer at University of Washington was triggered due to noise emanating from the stadium. If they gain an inch on offense they cheer and clap, if you're backed up on your own endzone, you won't hear a single thing...in fact you're not likely going to hear the play call from your OC. The Cheering and noise is non-stop. They basically render your snap count irrelevant so the defense is always T'ed.

If we had to play here I would bet on the Hawks winning comfortably.

They have real fans....they feel confident enough to lay down bets with me and I am happy to take their monies. They are giddy that RG3 has a brace on and the Skins defence is sub-par.

Re: Answer me these questions 3:Seahawks v Skins Prediction Thread

As a longtime Redskins fan, I feel kind of slighted due to the fact that the so-called experts are picking Seattle to beat the Redskins @ Fed Ex Field. I just got through reading a prediction from the Bleacher reports stating that RG3 will throw 2 INTs, Russel Wilson will throw for 3 TDs, and Marshawn Lynch will rush for 125 Yards against our defense.

None of these so-called experts didn't mention the facts. The facts are Washington was 5-3 @ home during the regular season and Seattle was 3-5 on the road this past season. Just about all of the losses by both teams have been by less than a touchdown. This is will be a very close game regardless which was it goes. Of course I'm picking Washington at home by 7 points.

HAHAHA, excellent. I love that people are like "OMG! RG3s brace makes him so slow!" RG3 with brace is still faster than most DBs in this league.

They wont STOP our run game. A Halftime lead would be nice so we can keep running Mo down theyre throats 2nd half.

Theyre secondary scares me.. our WRs have a huge assigment.
As do our secondary.

We have the talent straight up to deal with Elite RBs at LB. I think well hold Lynch as long as we can win the possession battle and keep them off the field. If the defense spends to much time on the field it will hurt us and Lynch will make us pay. Its the exact same thing we need to do.

If this game was at Seattle then I would say our chances of winning are less than good, but with them coming here and the waterbirds away record I say we have a better than average shot of beating these guys.

If we can control the game with Morris and RGIII plays just a little better than last week we can beat them, however if we get into a spot where our offense can't go down the field and score and are in a defensive struggle we know that eventually our D while improved is gonna give up a big play or two.

Skins 17
Waterbirds 14

KOBRAKAI kicks a game winner in OT RGIII and ALMO each have a rushing TD
