Re: 2013 HOF Inductees announced
Surprised strahan didn't get in. Deserving guys none the less. I think the hall of fame should allow more players per year than they do now.
|
Yeah great list
|
Re: 2013 HOF Inductees announced
I still can't believe the Bus hasn't made it after how many years as a finalist??
|
Re: 2013 HOF Inductees announced
Yea yea....all deserving but Chris Carter is a well known Redksin basher so he can kiss my lily white a$$.
And Warren Sapp is a fat buffoon, I still remember him getting in trouble for prancing thru the opposing teams warm ups. |
Re: 2013 HOF Inductees announced
Warren Sapp is an ahole but a hell of a player
|
Re: 2013 HOF Inductees announced
The only reason Parcells is just getting in is because he didn't retire sooner than he did.
|
Re: 2013 HOF Inductees announced
All are deserving , nice to see C. Culp finaly get in . C. Haley should be in , as good a pass rusher as any DE/Lb in NFL history IMO .

Re: 2013 HOF Inductees announced
Cris Carter belongs in the Hall of Very Good, not the HOF. Never #1 at anything significant, far as I can tell. At least Art Monk was #1 in career receptions and single season receptions for a time during his career. I look for stats people bring up to defend Carter - "Most touchdown receptions on Thursday games" on wiki - lol.
I guess getting his face on TV did help him sneak into the HOF. |

He had a good career but he was never anything that special. I think his ESPN job over the years helped him get in. He only had like one year where he caught 100 passes if I remember right. Maybe 2 but that's it |

I am shocked Haley is not in yet. |

I think voters have him on the fence. I don't see him as a HOF guy myself. |

Me too, 5 rings! |

Media hates him, same reason Parcells did not get in the first time. |

Why? Leslie O'Neal isn't in the HoF and has much better stats than Haley. A few other DEs out there with better stats and not in the HoF. If they aren't, neither should he. |

Stats don't always tell the entire story. His impact on the teams that won the superbowl was immeasurable, if stats were the only story Emmitt Smith and Brett Favre are the best players at their position ever... Look at Haley's impact on the Cowboys and 49ers and you know he is a hall of famer. |
Re: 2013 HOF Inductees announced
Haley was better than Ware and has the # of rings to prove it. He was an impact pass rusher with huge plays when needed, he was money. Pissing on a team mates or coaches car (can't remember which) did not help his cause. He was kind of a headcase.

No. It doesn't prove it. It only proves they were on better teams. I suggest you add up the number of HoFers on both the SF and Dallas squad Haley played on and do the same with who you want to compare him with. Not even close. |

I agree bud. He was crazy as s*** but definitely one of the best. |

So a good player on a good team should get points deducted for being in a good team? |

O'Neal was a heck of a football player . Other than LT , I haven't seen anyone more disruptive from the DE/OLB positions than Haley. Of course guys like Dent , Dean and others were awesome pass rushers too . |
