BOOMER SOONER! Trent is a beast and a top 10 LT. Training with AD will only make him better. That's good to hear.

That's a weird thing to hope IMO.

Gotta give the FO some real credit RE Trent, not just as a draft choice but "managing" him through his herbal incidents etc. They didn't come down on him too harshly but clearly made it know he's expected to be a top player/leader.

I have never run on a treadmill backwards and down hill. What does that do? Isn't that a better drill for a DB?

I would think that it would help an olineman protect the edge as he is backing up to form the pocket. I imagine it also helps his footwork ability

From the article it does not sound like this is anything new. And people said all pot smokers are lazy.

He is in year 4 of a 6 year deal. Any thoughts on if hes trying to get paid early?

Isn't he already being paid?

According to my quick calculations, TW has received $31M so far. That's actual cash in pocket, not cap hits. He stands to pocket another $27M over the next 3 years ($6M/$9M/$12M).

True. I guess iv gotten the feeling from Tw that hes not not necessarily trying to become an all time great, but more so looking just get by on his natural abilities. i mean everyone seems to think he can be one of the best of all time, right? For whatever reason ive been a little skeptical of him since mid way through his rookie year. I suppose its hard being immediately measured against a guy like Chris Samuels.

It's impressive to see the transition from talented and extremely physically gifted underachiever to full fledged pro, and all it took was some weed.

It took a few seasons, but Trent Williams has officially replaced Chris Samuels. The fact that he's working hard to become better than he already is speaks volumes about not only his maturity, but about his fortitude as well.
