IMO this doesn't seem to add up. What do you guys think? |
Re: Awful Snake Story
What a nightmare. How does that happen to one of them without waking up the other? The story does sound odd.

How could a snake come crashing through the ceiling and not wake at least one of them? I am sorry but if I dropped something basically anywhere in my house from the height of 8 feet and it weighed a 100 pounds pretty much the whole house is getting up. Shot the shave mirror fell this morning in the shower both my daughter (2) and my son(5) were wide awake after that. I could see if it was a poisonous snake and it bite both of them then they died but a python not happening. Something is up with this story. |

Re: Awful Snake Story
Those snakes are nothing but one large muscle and could easly kill the two kids. How it killed both boys is the strange part. My guess it woke up the kids and then went after the movement.

Yes you are right it has the power to kill them. The only way i think it could get both of them is if they were laying next to each other. i can't see the snake going from one to the other. Snakes don't kill for the hell of it. But really a 15 foot snake falls 8 feet and weighs 100 pounds that doesn't wake you up? Hard to believe they slept through that. |

IMO this doesn't seem to add up. What do you guys think?
It's CNN reporting on Canada...nothing is going to make sense! Horrible situation whenever any child is lost but I see your point. How did they die exactly...from being attacked, bitten, choked together or simply from a 100-pound snake falling on them? I'd think a 7-year old could survive that unless it was on his neck or head. We definitely need more details to be able to understand this. |

What doesn't add up exactly?

I still don't see what doesn't' add up. Is it that the noise should have woken the other people in the apartment up? |

If you were asleep in a room and i dropped 100 pounds from the ceiling do you think you would wake up? Seems odd the snake would kill both of them. I could see him getting one and trying to eat him then either succeeding or giving up. There have to be some type of struggle thus alerting the other boy. Snakes don't juts kill for the heck of it they do it for food. IDK just seems fishy to me. In the comments there is a lot of speculation as well. |
Re: Awful Snake Story
Here is python eating a large prey. I got believe that take sometime.

Could he have strangled them both at the same time? Depending on how quickly they strangle does the victim have time to make a sound? Was one boy woken up and in such shock he couldn't have screamed? I don't know What do you think? Do you think the boys instigated it or something? |
Re: Awful Snake Story
There will be an autopsy performed where the medical examiner will be able to determine whether in fact the kids were strangled, and based on the pressure points and bruising on the neck he'll be able to tell whether it was human hands or something like a snake doing the strangling.
Long story short evidence will come to light, I wouldn't worry about it. |

Re: Awful Snake Story
ok this shades a lot more light on it.

I hope they don't kill the snake that just be stupid but they probably will. |

I hate snakes as well but in reality he was just doing what snakes do. It be far more fitting to chop the head off the person who didn't secure his cage. |
Re: Awful Snake Story
When it rains snakes indoors, the apocalypse must be near. :)
|
Re: Awful Snake Story
I guess it could have happened pretty quickly if it fell on or just near them both and immediately wrapped them up. Makes more sense now.
Just terrible.
"Once they are in constricting mode, any part of their body that is touching something that moves, they'll wrap it. I've seen snakes with two different prey items at the same time, one with the back of the body and one with the front. It could have been an incident like that."
|
Re: Awful Snake Story
^ exactly
Imagine two kids aged 5 and 7 lying in bed and a 15 foot long snake that weighs over 100lbs on top of them. I'm puttin my chips all in on the snake comin out on top in that scenario about 9 out of 10 times. Over 100lbs of dead weight is hard enough for a grown man to move much less a child. Think of all the pictures you ever see of these snakes when they capture them, not usually one or two people holding them, more like 5-6, atleast. Just an awful story. |
Re: Awful Snake Story
Sorry mredskins, the python was euthanized.
