We got him! And oh yeah...Edge resigned with the Colts. Not that any of you actually believed that donkey Philly fan. |
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
Prioliau is browns cousin
|
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau

Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
I'm gonna go to the EaglesNest and post a thread that says TO lost his leg in a freak motorcycle accident.

Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
If signing Prioleau will mean the end of Bowen's weekly column in the Washington Times, great! Ryan Clark did a solid job filling in last year. I just don't recall a INT made by our safeties other than Sean Taylor. Prioleau's numbers don't promise that that'll change. :oink:
|
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
He won't get you a lot of INT's but he seems to be alright with tackles, forced fumbles, pass defensed etc. considering his limited playing time. Also with his speed I'm sure GW will be blitzing him a lot.
|
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
This guy has been a career back up. What makes anyone think he'll even start? Gregg Williams had him and he didn't do shit.
|
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
clark did not have an INT, but i think Franz may have, but either way hes gone now. im happy with this move :)
|
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
In Williams' D, almost everyone is a starter.

courtney brown? |
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
Special teams and depth. Williams likes him, that's good enough for me.

I dont think he will start out of the gate. He will have to compete for it. But with the loss of Antonio Pierce, our coach on the field, wouldn't it be helpful to have a safety out there that is comfortable making adjustments to a defense he has two years experience in? |

yeah, Courtney |

And all the sacasm with the lost of Franz? At least another team valued him. He was good on special teams too. We need a guy who isn't going to be beat deep. :oink: |
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
I'm sure that either Bowen or Taylor will go down some time next year. It will be good to have a guy with a couple of years of experience in GW defense to be there when it happens.
|
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
we probraly signed him to intice his cousin to come to the team. Brown would have boy lavar with him and his cousin. I'd sign on that it would be like being back in school.

did I miss something? |
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
Is it me or was safety not a need?
Taylor, Bowen, Lott, Clark. I guess Lott may be seeing CB duty, but still. I like Bowen/Taylor or Clark/Taylor back there. As long as he's cheap depth doesn't hurt. |
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
Special teams and depth. Williams likes him, that's good enough for me.
That pretty much does it for me too. Williams knows him so I'll trust this is a good pickup. Sounds like he'll be great for depth and special teams. |
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
he could take Bowen places....as starting SS, and he hits harder...

Re: Redskins sign Prioleau

|
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
I think it's pronounced pre-olee but I could have heard it wrong.
I was wrong. According to the washingtonpost, his name is pronounced PRAY-low. |
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
even if he doesn't play, maybe he is a good diplomat to send to close on the brown deal.....

Did you know that 21 people have been killed in eight days in Philly? To bad they missed him! :food-smil |
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
what's wrong with Bowen? He is a solid player, and cheap.
|
Re: Redskins sign Prioleau
what's wrong with Bowen? He is a solid player, and cheap.
Supposedly, Prioleau's special teams skills had a lot to do with the Redskins signing him. He led the Bills in special teams tackles. The Skins struggled at times in the tackling department on kicks and punts, so I guess they felt they needed a sure tackler out there on 'teams. Plus, Prioleau has experience in Williams's system, and he has starting experience, so he'll probably give Bowen some stiff competition for the starting spot alongside Taylor. With Taylor, Bowen, Clark, Prioleau and Lott, the Skins now have excellent depth at safety. Williams uses some 3-safety sets from time to time, so it makes sense to have good depth there. |
