Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
Wanted to get this rolling early since we need to move on from that stinger last night. We are not the same team from 2 years ago, and I really believe that. I feel like we can win any week, and we are going to need a win here to stay on pace with the NFC EAST.
The Niners were able to pick apart Green Bay's defense, and i'm hoping we can do the same. Rodgers always scares me, but a bonus is they don't have Woodson anymore! |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
Is Rodgers out for this game?
|
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
We better step it up this week.
To get worked by the EAGLES who dont have more than one quality player at a position other that RB, truly made me sick. I was at the game and the fricking E A G L E S chants were maddening. We need to come out and completely, utterly put forth all effort possible and put out a good, solid, physical performance or this season is gonna get real ugly REAL fast. |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
At least Griff's playing at Lambeau while the sun is still shining. No ice to deal with.
We'll be much better this week. Those sloppy turnovers and bad throws are out of our system now. Hopefully the penalties will be too. It will be a close game but overall a good game for us. Skins 27 Cheeseheads 24 Their O-line is a mess. I expect a repeat of the last time we played and beat them. Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
I don't like the way things are shaping up. We're coming off a bad game, it's the Packers home opener and they're also coming off a loss... which is exactly why I think we win. 30-28.
|
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
I think both teams start out slow but Packers find ways to expose the safeties/linebackers in the second half and score 3 or 4 TD's in the second half. I think this is a bad matchup for the Skins. I think RG3 looks a lot better for the entire game as compared to his previous game.
Packers 37 Redskins 27 |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
I'm not sure that RGIII can fit through the door of the plane to Wisconsin, given the size of the chip on his shoulder.

That's the best thing about our team, and this loss we had. They will be looking to mess shit up. |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
We need to air it out: Packers doubled Boldin and he beat it
The Pack struggld in pass defense last week -- badly. Our receivers are solid -- Hankerson showed something last night, Garcon should bounce back, Moss is reliable, and Reed had a few nice grabs (would be nice for Robinson and Davis to show up too). Mix it up with Helu catching some stuff out of the backfield, and we ought to be able to score some points -- soften that D and get some points on the board, and then pound with Alfmo. And cut the costly penalties and miscues. This team can be beat, but it will take a very strong, all-around effort to do it. |

So he has gone from a swollen ego to a extra large chip on his sholder. |

I think his swoll ego gives him the chip on his shoulder. He knows he's better than what he played. |

Packers 27
Redskins 24 |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
Our pass rush needs to bring their A game next Sunday, otherwise Rodgers, Nelson, and Cobb will shred us with that passing attack.

Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
I cant really put a prediction on this game, GB is loaded On offense and they have the best QB in the NFC right now, but and its a huge but, their D is straight garbage, and RG3 should have a field day against that secondary.
It'll be close I'll say something like 31-27 skins but if i was betting i'd take GB at home |

Also RG3 was supposed to have a "field day against Philly" according to some fans, how did that work out? He's still rusty. No field days until later. And go with what you would bet. |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
^ well to be fair Griff really never had a chance to get into a rythem with the 2 morris fumbles early on but I see what u r saying

Yep. Someone like Romo or Eli are used to it, but Griffin hasn't really known failure yet. I just hope he can still play smart and not let his competitiveness cloud his judgment and decision-making. Think of the big picture, Griff. We need you for 16 games, not just 4 quarters in Week 2. |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
Both teams come out with something to prove as they both kinda stunk it up Week 1
Packers 27 Skins 34 |

(lol) Yeah Eli has a career that no NFL QB would want . |

The Redskins are going to beat the Packers. That's all there is to it.

I'd take Eli over a bunch of QBs in the NFL. The guy is clutch in the 4th and they would have won if Scott catches that screen |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
What else is funny, is I saw the 4th-10 play that we got a penalty on. If we had one more second and got the play off, we would of scored a TD.
Woulda Coulda though. |

Yeah that was the play were Griff looked like his old self and freaking hank drops it. At first I thought he had caught it by the angel of the camera. |

Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
GB is missing their starting LT (Bulaga) and if I'm not mistaken another starting OL. Our DL will do well against them as will RGIII, he seems to have shed most of the rust in the 2nd half. The skins will be more prepared than week 1.
|
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
i hope we figure out how to tackle, not get 14 penalties and RGIII looks more like he did on those scoring drives.
|
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
Hey Giantone, what are your thoughts on D. Scott? Other than the problem with the catch, I thought he played okay given the circumstances.

was a great play by griff, Hank has freaking bad hands |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
also GB doesn't run the ball like Philly did last night, and tyey dont have shady mccoy. It's basically going to depend on us getting some pressure on AR and for our O to keep them off the field

Eli Manning is a turnover machine; he leads the league in turnovers since 2010. The two Super Bowl wins were because of great plays by WRs. And the two Super Bowl MVP awards are because Eli is a quarterback(albeit a mediocre one).RG3>Eli! |

He's still rusty. No field days until later. And go with what you would bet.
In total he threw for 329 yards, and got better. The problem was that the witch had turned him into a newt. |

Many have proclaimed that Eli is a top-five quarterback in the NFL and has already reached elite status. While Manning's status is in question, I think we all can agree that Tom Brady is an elite quarterback - no matter how much you dislike the guy - and before we go any further, let's take a peek at some numbers. Manning is 69-50 as a starter and Brady is 124-35. Yes, I know that Tom Brady has played in 40 more football games, but that being said; he still has 15 fewer losses than Manning. Also Manning has a TD-INT ratio of 108-65, not bad for a good quarterback. Brady has a TD-INT ratio of 153-37, now that's elite status. In fact, not only Tom Brady, but also Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, Philip Rivers , and Tony Romo all have better passing stats since 2007 than Eli Manning does. |

Since the Packers aren't in the NFC East, I expect Orakpo to get a sack or two. |
Re: Washington Redskins vs Green Bay Packers Pre-Game Thread
If we can not get to Aaron Rodgers on Sunday then something is seriously wrong with our DLine because GB O-Line is abysmal at best

I expect Rambo to have a great game, just cos.
