Stick a fork in em', they are done!
I don't want to be a Debbie Downer but someone has to. I know, I know, it's still early but the Redskins look like sh*t in all phases. Can they improve? Sure, everyone has room to improve. Can they turn this thing around? Highly unlikely. Nothing about this team says division champions and that's what it will take for them to contend for a playoff spot. The good news is that the NFC East is weaker than a rodent in the middle of the road. Is that enough, well, they have to win a game or two for us to even consider the possibility.
Now for my notes: Note to Mike, I have no idea what you're doing and neither does anyone else. Note to Kyel, they've figured you out! Note to Haslett, nothing you call is likely to be effective. Try to be as effective as possible. Note to Merriweather, you can't and probably shouldn't tackle with your head. Note to Amerson, you're a rookie so you get a pass though that only lasts for so long. Note to Hall, no one is back there to cover your ass and you're a bum. Note to Wilson, you are the best DB we have but that's like saying saden1 is the best armchair coach on the warpath. Note to Rambo, you ain't Rambo, you is Rammed. Note RG3, keep your mouth shut and watch your back. Note to Morris, I'm sorry. Note to Trent, you had the worse game of your career last week and you better get your mofo hands out of your pockets. Note to London, you can't coach bums. Note to DL, if you can't stop a nosebleed then how do you expect to stop a RB? Note to OL, you're doing a decent job in the second half. Note to WR, you're doing a great job but try not to drop the ball, especially in the endzone! That's all I got. |
Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
Note to saden1 don't make useless threads that could have easily been post in a number of related threads.

Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
Three games is too early to crown or condemn a team. So I say:

lol yes! |
Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
IDK what to think. It's not so much the losses but how the team looks in those losses. There's a lot evidence to point to totally failed leadership and coaching at this point. Maybe Mike still gets the benefit of the doubt, but in that case he needs to make some changes around him. Otherwise, how can you expect anything but more of the same?

I mean, would you call the whole sports world crazy? From the little I watch espn and nfl channel the consensus is this team is done. Do you hear different? |

Most of the sports world is crazy. The only things most of them get right are the blatantly obvious ones. They called us done last year, how did that work out for them? One said that Kaepernick would go down as the greatest ever. He has been the worst QB in the NFL the last two weeks. Granted one was against Seattle's def, but greatest ever would still put in a good showing. Its not like ESPN, Fox Sports 1, the NFL Channel, and any others are right a good amount of the time. Some are there to give what they consider to be honest analysis, most are there to predict what they think people want to hear. Lets face it, its about ratings. If you arent loved or hated, the two main things that get you watched in todays society, you wont be on TV long, regardless of if you are right 100% of the time. You could be horribly wrong 100% of the time, but as long as people watch you and you can drive ratings, you have a job in the sports world. |
Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
The cool aide around here tastes toooo lemony. Somebody bought a bunch of lemons. Its not 0-3. Its 0-3 with 3 ass kickins. Two were over by halftime.

You're missing what makes this thread silly. |
Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
Note to Haslett, take that next step and call the defense from the parking lot
|
Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
Why did he go to the booth anyway?? Its probably been mentioned, but i missed it. I wouldn't wana be close to that pile of sharts either. Pile of sharts can be taken as either Jimbo or the Defense. Its up to the reader to decide.

To piggyback off of sadens1 thread without making a new one, how many losses is it going to take for you all to agree that the season is done?

if we lose to oakland I'm sure everyone would finally agree |
Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
How many losses to agree we need a new HC and coordinators/staff?
|
Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
it's silly that people have to post the same thing in 14 different threads ;)
i get it, the sky is falling... yay! it's fun to sit here and tell each other how awful we are 24 times a day. I mean, my day isn't complete unless i've played captain obvious to at least 40 strangers on the internets. to sum up what everyone's said for the past three weeks: -griffin probably isn't 100%, and this offense isn't like the one we ran last year. -the defense can't tackle, or cover... which is sort of a bad thing. -we've lost and looked pretty bad for large chunks of time. i mean, does that cover it? did i miss anything? does repeating it 40 more times in 3 new threads add value? cause i'm all about adding value to society. that's my thing. |

Don't pick on Cult. He has a long history of rooting against the Redskins. |

Not me. I'm not giving up with 4 down, 12 to go, in a weak division. |
Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
The logic for me rooting against the redskins makes zero sense, especially since we don't have a first rounder.
|
Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
If people are so eager to say that the Redskins are done, then they should quit wasting their times (and ours) and do something else instead of being here.
Not that I am saying we're going to go on a crazy run, but we were dead in the water last year at 3-6 after losing three in a row. We looked like shit, yet we somehow turn it around at the end. Shit, at least wait until we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs so you can gloat about how right you are about your hatred for the coach or how much of an expert you are by calling the team done at 0-3. |

I think if we lose against Oakland the season is done. I understand we would only be 0-4, but you're talking about having to then win I think at least 10 games to make the playoffs. 9 and 7 might do it but you are saying the team would only lose 3 more games. Could we run the tables and go 12-4? Maybe. Any NFL history buffs know if a team has ever opened at 0-4 and went on to make the playoffs? What's the worst start to the season to still go to the playoffs? 0-6 and then win 10 straight games?? |

Only -2% of teams that have started 0-3 have ever made the playoffs. I am afraid the skins have way too much structural problems to consider them as a contender for anything other than a mid round draft position. |

Re: Stick a fork in em', they are done!
" Playoffs???!!?!! You're talking playoffs??!??!!"
This isn't the bad news bears we have here. This team is not making any sort of run for the playoffs. I wouldn't even trust them to make a run to the store and grab milk for my cereal. I think it would be better served to have a giant whiteboard and begin deciding who is a skin next year and how to upgrade our weaknesses. Last offseason was to show MWilliams the door as fast as humanly possible. This year it's Haslett and little junior shanahan needs a spanking over daddy's knee. Damn this team is screwed from top to bottom. Next season doesn't even seem possible at this point. |

Good call SS! You are correct. It just means that it hasn't happened YET. |

:laughing2 I agree. There is this couple on Extremeskins that organizes sendoffs and welcome homes for team for all the road games. They sit by the road and wave as they part and arrive. If they lose, I say we all meet up with them and stand on the other side of the road from them and give them all the middle finger....LOL :laughing- We'll be the Yang to their Ying. |
