Top 10 QBs
Simple question; who are your top 10 QBs in the NFL?
We hear a lot of "he's elite" or "he is a top 10 QB" or "he is so overrated" so now's your chance to rank them out 1-10. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
1. P. Manning
2. Brady 3. Brees 4. A Rod 5. Luck 6. Ryan 7. Romo 8. RG3 9. Wilson 10. Big Ben |
Re: Top 10 QBs
When you say "in the NFL" I'm assuming you mean currently starting. Not people who have retired.
So in no particular order: Peyton Manning Tom Brady Aaron Rogers Romo (as much as it kills me to say) Flacco (he's having a pretty bad year though) Little Manning (also having a bad year, but he has Super Bowl wins so.. you can't really exclude the guy) Andrew Luck Drew Brees Ryan Tannehill (getting a lot done, without a lot of talent around him) And I guess RG3 but he's been shitting the bed so far this season. We'll see how he does after the bye. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
Yes I'm talking about QBs currently playing.
|
Re: Top 10 QBs
I think mine would be:
1 Peyton Manning 2 Aaron Rodgers 3 Drew Brees 4 Tom Brady 5 Eli Manning 6 Ben Roethlisberger 7 Matt Ryan 8 Jay Cutler 9 RG3 10 Matt Stafford |
Re: Top 10 QBs
In no order I'd go with
P. Manning Brees Rodgers Brady Big Ben Ryan Rivers Stafford Romo Cutler |
Re: Top 10 QBs
1. Peyton
2. Breezy 3. Brady 4. Rodgers 5. Everyone else Quickest riser to the top 5 within 5 years: Luck Most underappreciated last 10 years: Big Ben Underrated: A Smith Best QB on a shitty team: Eli |
Re: Top 10 QBs
Underrated: A Smith
I can't really get on board with this. Alex Smith is at best, right in the middle of the pack of starting quarterbacks. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes, but I certainly wouldn't want to rely on him to win a game either. If you looked up 'game manager' in the dictionary, there would be a picture of Alex Smith. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
Best QB on a team with awesome WRs, Peyton.
Best QB on a team with crappy WRs, Brady. Rodgers Brees Then a bunch of guys who could win you a game or lose you a game. If I had to have one drive to win a game, I would pick one of the top 4. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
1) P. Manning
2) Drew Brees 3) Aaron Rodgers 4) Matt Ryan 5) Phillip Rivers 6) Tony Romo 7) Andrew Luck 8) Tom Brady 9) Matthew Stafford 10) Ben Roethlisberger |

Re: Top 10 QBs
In no particular order:
Rodgers P. Manning Brees Big Ben Luck Ryan Rivers RG3 Brady And purely stats wise Romo |
Re: Top 10 QBs
LOL, I see someone is getting hatted on...
Based on his numbers and play, he's not playing better than the other QBs listed above him. |

So you take Rivers/NattyIce/Romo on your team right now over Brady? I cant stand the dude, but I'd have a hardtime doing that... |

No, I'm saying they are playing better football at this time. When Brady starts playing better, he'll move up the ranks. I don't believe in ranking due to things done in the past. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers.
The rest. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers.
The rest.
"The rest" is why this thread is here. Who is your numbers 5-10? |
Re: Top 10 QBs
P Manning
Brees Rodgers Luck Brady Rivers Romo Ryan RG3 Wilson QB in biggest tailspin - Eli Manning QB that needs to turn it on or else - RGIII QB that is just butter - Peyton Manning. Jesus this guy is good. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
"The rest" is why this thread is here. Who is your numbers 5-10?
5. Natty Ice 6. Andrew Luck 7. Matt Stafford 8. Phillip Rivers 9. Big Ben 10.Romo Ranking QB makes CB happy happy |
Re: Top 10 QBs
5. Natty Ice
Good to know he's not on roids. 1. Manning 2. Rodgers 3. Brees 4. Brady 5. Ryan 6. Luck 7. Griffin 8. Rivers 9. Stafford 10. Raplesberger When Griffin is back to himself, swap he and Luck on the list. Eli would have been ahead of Rivers, Stafford and the Rapist until this season. |

Re: Top 10 QBs
Jay and Eli don't belong on the list.
Top Ten: Peyton Aaron Tom Drew Ben Phillip "Matty" Colin Tony Matthew I would consider Robert, Andrew, and Russell; but I don't think they've played enough to belong on the list yet. |

Re: Top 10 QBs
So why Ben but not Eli ?
The pounding Ben has had to take to do what other QBs have done.
Ben is one of many QBs that has looked his best in his non-SB years. I guess if we were ranking QBs by tendency for interceptions, Brett and Eli would be among the top 5 all time. :) |
Re: Top 10 QBs
1. Peyton
2. Brady 3a. Rodgers 3b. Brees 5. Big Ben 6. Eli 7. Matt Ryan 8. Romo 9. Luck 10. Stafford / Rivers Done from the perspective of "If I had one season to win a Superbowl who would I want as my QB?" Good thread! Could be done for other positions when this one dies out. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
CUTLER? On the list at all is crazy but above Griffin and Stafford? Wow.
Well, Cutler has taken his team, with a crappy OL to the NFC championship game. RG3, nor Stafford have done that. Thats why he is above them on my top 10. Also RG3 being a rookie (for as great a season as it was) was still a rookie last year; can't put him that high on a top 10 list above more established players, especially if he has a bad year this year. And Stafford is injury prone and throws to the best WR in the NFL. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
This year after 4/5 games:
1-Manning 2-Brady 3-Rodgers 4-Brees 5-Luck 6-Rivers 7-Romo 8-Ryan 9-Stafford 10-Cutler (rankings and other QB's will change as the season progresses) |
Re: Top 10 QBs
In order of awesomeness:
1) P. Manning 2) Breesus 3) Rodgers 4) Brady 5) Luck 6) Stafford 7) Ryan 8) P. Mannings retarded little brother 9) Wilson 10) Rothlesburger I hate putting Ben on the list because he's a scumbag, but he's earned it on the field. Wilson gets the nod because he does everything and in this era of mobile QBs he's doing it the best all around. RG could be there but he's too careless this far, in more ways than one. |
Re: Top 10 QBs

Top Ten: Peyton Aaron Tom Drew Ben Phillip "Matty" Colin Tony Matthew I would consider Robert, Andrew, and Russell; but I don't think they've played enough to belong on the list yet.
Why Kapernick over the other three? He has been pretty average at best this year, And until I see more from both III and Wilson neither one belong on this list. The only young guy I would even consider right now is Luck. The other three haven't done much of anything this year. CK also has a smaller sample size of games over the other three. Last years rookies started all 16 games (well minus the one griff missed) and CK started 7 games + the 3 playoff games. And honestly even with Griffin struggles he has been the worst of the 4 this year. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
So why Ben but not Eli ?
lol...that train is never late. Eli is a good QB, but if you look at some of his numbers he is wildly inconsistent and it goes in cycles. Its really strange. He plays like a top 5 QB, leading 4th quarter comebacks and then he will lead the league in interceptions, fumbles, turnovers. I think Eli is really like most QB, their life is made alot easier with a solid running game and a top half of the league defense. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
CUTLER? On the list at all is crazy but above Griffin and Stafford? Wow.
Matt Stafford sucks without MEGA, and I agree Cutler should not be on the list either.. And like ArtMonkHOF Stated, Colin K has had a very very average year so far. Has anyone seen his numbers? Alex Smith like |

That's nothing to be ashamed of. Alex Smith would go on my top-10 QB list before Eli "Oops I Just Threw Another Interception" Manning. Not that I would put either on, but if came down to the two, Smith would be my choice. Also, I don't think any of the young quarterbacks( RG3, Luck, Wilson, or Tannehill) have played enough to be on the list above established veterans. Peyton Manning Tom Brady Drew Brees Aaron Rodgers Matt Ryan Joe Flacco Phillip Rivers Tony Romo Ben Roethlisberger Jay Cutler |
Re: Top 10 QBs
I was really impressed with Cutler last night, mainly his decision making. I'm sure it helps that his OL is much improved too.

Exactly. No QB would be good or put up good numbers with the OL he was behind for the past 3 years. |

Re: Top 10 QBs
^ It's called last yr he came out of no where and he has some speed so he just scared everyone, Now teams are making him pass and he's not that great of a passer.. Again Ron Jaworski will never be reliable imo anymore when it comes to QB predictions. The fact that he said CK may be the greatest QB ever to play is just mind blowing to me
I mean I'll be honest I don't see a big difference in him and Terrell Pryor |
Re: Top 10 QBs
CUTLER? On the list at all is crazy but above Griffin and Stafford? Wow.
Take off your homerism glasses. Right now, Cutler is better than RG3. End of discussion. Better than Stafford? I'd say they're probably the same. |
Re: Top 10 QBs
Is this through 5 games this year?? Cause if so no way is Flacco, Ben, Eli and RG3 in the top 10.
|

Agreed. He's playing solid ball. Trestman seems to be a good influence on him. |

I mean I'll be honest I don't see a big difference in him and Terrell Pryor
Um...he was a big reason they almost won the SB. He's had some injuries around him ...that's probably one of the reasons he's played poorly. Everyone needs to remember he hasn't even started 16 games. But he's also absolutely dominated some games as well. I think he comes around. The talent level is just too high. |
