Around the NFL Week 6

I don't know if I'm a fan of this or not just yet. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
Personally I am not a big fan of it. I think there are too many teams already. (I know I will get flack for this)

I'm with you. The regular season should skim the cream off of the top so that those teams can compete for a Lombardi. Adding more teams just cheapens the notion of "cream" in this analogy. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
Water down the playoffs some more? No thanks Goodell, another garbage idea by the commish
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
Goodell has had some bombs in his time
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
I was just thinking about it, how would you guys feel about Josh Gordon? I get the feeling that Morgan wont be here at the end of the year and I know that Hankerson has been stepping up so fat this year but I was just entertaining the idea because I saw the Browns and 49ers were discussing a trade for him.

Re: Around the NFL Week 6
I was saying a week ago to trade Kirk for Gordon.. Rg3 is our guy for 10 more years no point wasting Kirk's value

I wouldn't do that straight up. I would get a 2nd or 3rd out of them a la the Bailey/Portis trade. But I could work with Gordon and a 2nd for Cousins. Especially with Hoyer out with an acl tear. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
They would probably give Gordon and a 4th or maybe at most a 3rd but I doubt it.

i be for that trade. Gordon play with RG3 too. Gordon is a badass |
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
Not a fan of playoff expansion.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
Gordon is a positive test away from being done for a year. That probably brings his value down a bit. I wouldn't give up Kirk for him straight up.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
Good point

Yeah I forgot about that, would still do it for him and a 2nd. They have 2 2nd rounders anyways. |

Greg Little and a 2nd-round pick. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 6
Expanded playoffs is driven by Goodell. Most owners don't want it. I'll take some credit/blame for it though since a key element to it is the most recent deal the league signed with ESPN (of which I played a role). The deal Goodell agreed to gives the league the option of giving ESPN a playoff game. There are clauses in places if they're not given one, which I won't get into. But he's faced with two options. Add a game or upset another broadcast partner by taking a game away from them
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
Honestly would rather have an extra 2 playoff games, then have the 4th preseason game. You might get a team with a losing record, but atleast all the teams are going to try there best.

Upgrade over Aldrick, Morgan and POSSIBLY Hankerson until he proves he's consistent. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
Greg Little is Rod Gardner 2.0
His hands are pretty bad. |

I'd be up for that trade. Good idea Quake. |

No. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
I'd rather get a starting FS for Kirk Cousins than another WR.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
until griff learns how to slide feet first (w/o fumbling), i have no interest in trading cousins.
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
gordon's pretty good. but he's not top tier (CJ, brandon marshall, JJ, AJ, AJG), and he's yet another guy that's a puff away from losing a season.
depending on specifics of the deal i could be okay with it, but it's no slam dunk... unless gordon can tackle and is going to play FS for us. |

Guess the story about the fan showing up at Schaub's home was bogus?? @houstonpolice Contrary to some reports, there was not a group of "angry fans" outside the Schaub residence on Monday.#hounews |

Good qb's are hard to find. Risk reward isnt worth it imo either. |

Joe Haden or bust. |

This. I mean, RG isn't even playing at 100% yet, trading away our next best QB is irresponsible. |
now your talking. id do that straight up
I would too, but I doubt they would do that. But Joe Haden and an improving David Amerson would be a duo that is fun to watch lock down WRs |

Haden and Amerson at CB, Wilson and Hall at S? :D (When Rambo is ready, move Wilson back to nickel CB) |
Re: Around the NFL Week 6
I have a feeling Rambo will never be ready... Just my gut feeling

What?!!!! "Delanie Walker did not shoot one of the assault weapons. Delanie Walker did shoot a handgun, and that was after gang members had already started shooting at Aldon's garage," Buckelew told the newspaper. "So the purpose of Delanie Walker shooting up in the air was to try and get the gang members out of there. It could be viewed as self-defense, or a reasonable means to try and dissipate a crazy situation." Are we serious with this? Did the NFL investigate and suspend anybody for this? it insane...i dont get. Drunk, firing guns, someone coulda been killed |

He's not getting off scott free, the fun is just beginning. Way to screw up your life when you had it good Aldon. |

Greg Little couldn't catch a cold. He hasn't caught anything since he was at UNC.
Greg Little is Rod Gardner 2.0 His hands are pretty bad.
No need to be polite. That sounds like a compliment to me. |
