Minnesota Game -- Predictions

Excited for the game, as I will actually be able to see it here in California.

I am thinking it will be a tight game, but we pull off a win, 33-27. Alfmo with 2 TDs; Garcon and Jordan Reed with one each. Kai gets back on track with 2 FGs, and one over 50 yards. AP gets some solid yards in the first half (and 2 TDs), but then we clamp down and force the Vikes to throw (which they do not do well).

Redskins win 31-24.

RG3 has his best game of the year: 19-23, 292 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs. 8 rushing attempts, 54 yards, 1 TD.

Alfred Morris rushes for 113 yards and 1 TD.

Moss shows up to play, and grabs 7 passes for 103 yards and 1 TD.

Garcon hauls in a long TD bomb of 69 yards, but is relatively quiet otherwise.

Adrian Peterson has a huge day: 29-132, 2 TDs.

Cordarelle Patterson returns a kick 90 yards for a score.

That's one thing that Christian Ponder is an expert at...turning the ball over.

One time when we played, we stopped him for about 10 months.

Someone has to post it and I want to see it again on Thursday.

I'm curious as to if RG3 still has that kind of breakaway, open field speed.

I think he might.

I do think RG3 can still run circles around Jared Allen or any Vikings "front 7" defender, though.

Yeah everyone questions him, but people must forget he ran this way after tearing his ACL in college. If he can come back then, I believe he can now. He's a work-a-holic physical specimen type like AP.

What better game for RG3 to show people he's still got that speed than against Minnesota?

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

Key to this game is to not let AP run wild on us and playing well on special teams. The Vikings have ruturned some kicks for TD's this year. If the offense can continue to play like last week, I don't see us losing. We need back to back weeks of consistent offsenive production. If we do, I think we win 30-20.

Skins- 34
Vikes - 10

Almo- 27 carries / 109 yards / 3 td's
Griff - 19 for 26 / 277 yards / 1 td
Skins win the turnover battle and our D eats Ponder alive with 5 sacks.
AP - 17 carries for 56 yards and they are trying to play catch up all nite thru the air.

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

We really miss Crawford on special teams.

I still think we should bring up Williams from the practice squad and start developing him in to our returner/ scat WR.

Even when Moss returned that kick last week. He showed quickness that Morgan doesn't have. It really worries me that Morgan is our best option at this time. I always though special teams was the heart of any team and ours is really poor.

You have to remember the most important thing about returning KO or PR is good hands you've got to secure the ball.

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

I think our passing game takes a step forward on Thursday. Minnesota knows they have to respect the run, and will load up the box to stop the new found running success.

Skins will move RG3 around the pocket on designed bootlegs and manage to hit a few deep shots. I'm pretty comfortable that this will be a dominant win. We may put up 35 and give up some junk towards the end.

Vikings 26

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

How anybody can be confidant this will be a dominant win is beyond me.We havent won 2 in a row all season,we havent come close to dominating anybody. The only team we beat on the road is Oakland, whose defense just made Nick Foles look like the greatest qb of all time.
I wont be shocked if we win but I will be pleasantly surprised.I think Vikings win in a close game, probably decided by whoever wins on special teams.

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

We ALWAYS seem to do well against AP. Just hope this isn't our off game. Biggest thing we need to do is not let QBs scramble out of the pocket. The past 2 weeks we get SO close but they keep squeaking out of there.

And of course, pain.

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

Ponder is a hard luck 0-5 this year, but the injuries are piling up. This team is ripe for the picking.

SolidSnake84 11-05-2013 08:18 PM

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

For some reason whenever we play a good team, we keep the game close for the most part. Historically whenever we have went up against a team that "Sucks", we have found ways to take a pounding and to lose miserably.

Losses to the Lions and Rams come to mind. Minnesota could beat us badly. I just hope we don't lay an egg in this game. Another win and we might be on to something, but if they lose I would almost think that with 6 losses we'd be done unless we find a way to run the tables....

I have only seen Ponder play a couple times this year (and saw none of the Cowboys' game), but, from what I did see, it seemed to me his 0-5 was well deserved.

True, but the NFL is crazy this year. Teams are up and down and winning big than losing big, etc. So - the logic of this particular year says......Skins in a blowout. :)

I'm predicting the Skins will cruise to victory, 38-24. Griffin has his best game, throwing for 300 yards and 3 TDs.

How does our DL/LB match up against their OL?
Is Wilson on our injured list ?
I'd like to see more of Helu this game and take the load off of Morris.
I guess Thompson blew his opportunity early on.

We need this game to close the gap on cowboys who play the saints.
