Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
I love the guy to death and he is one of my favorites.
But does he come back next year? even as a backup? Sort of like Ray Brown did that year in 2005? It seems like his body has finally given up after 16 seasons, unless he is just having a bad string of luck and could come back for one more year.... |
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Maybe ? I guess money and what ( if Any ) upgrades we make at DL in the offseason. BTW , I think LF would be valuable if our DL were more stout , and had better play from DB's ( better coverage and TACKLING ) . I do think the team will bring in a few ILB's in F/A , draft either way .
|
No way, and he shouldnt. Dont tarnish a great career anymore. As for us having him back, Hell no.
|
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
He's done. Even if he wants to come back we should move on.
|
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Pretty sure the door will be open for him if he wants it .....but he shouldn't .
|
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
I hate seeing London unable to breakdown and tackle. He's done as a starter. Would love to have him as a backup mentoring guys tho or just make him LB coach lol.

Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Great career, time to hang it up.

My sentiments exactly. |
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
He was done last year, no.

Well il never forget the December he had where he was a quiet baller with that defensive player of the month. He dominated that Cleveland game. |
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Yeah 2012 was a great memory, 2013 not so much. Don't do anything else to tarnish the legacy, move on into the next phase of life post football.

Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
London is smart enough to know that he's done.

No he's not |
No he's not
He would have walked away after last year if he was. |
Yeah but he did finish strong last year. I think he announces his retirement after the season.
|
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Is London not reviewing game tape? Looks slow and not wrapping up. London can't come back next year. No way

Moss should as well. |
Moss should as well.
He probably will but if he did come back as one of our wr's I wouldnt mind. London making the decision to come back I would mind. He is a complete liability. |

I would, he's been done since 2010 if we're being honest. Appreciated his time here but there's a reason I call him Santana Miss. Dropped more balls than plays made. |

I think the whole drop thing with him is blown out of proportion. I think he is pretty clutch and wouldnt mind him being out 3rd / 4th wr and a veteran presence. Either way though. Like I said I think he calls it quits and that is cool too. He isnt going to make or break the team whatever he does. |
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
No he's not
That's surprising. Seems like he's already lining up his broadcasting gigs. |
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Love Fletch but he is past done.
On the other hand, Rex is our savior and so can never retire. |
I hope so as a coach

Yeah, but he chose to come back and he's been reluctant to even share playing time |

Pride getting the best of him |
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
He should be gently encouraged to retire while being assured that he will join other Redskins greats in the Ring of Honor.
If he doesn't want to retire, then he should be informed that he is not in the team's plans for next season. I can't imagine how hard it must be for a great football player who loves the game to retire. Many great players didn't know when they were done and played their final seasons on a team other than the one where they achieved their greatness. Art Monk (Jets) is one example. |

Are we celebrating individual career achievements on multiple double digit loss teams? |

I'd definitely call it an individual honor. |

Absolutely deserves it. I mean he was on 3 playoff teams. Sam Huff was on mostly losing teams here |

Definitely. Hall of fame maybe another issue but he should be in the ring of honor for the skins. |

Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
I sure hope not.
And if he does decide to play again next year, I hope the Redskins aren't dumb enough to sign him back if he's looking to be a starter. |
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Fletcher will either retire or be cut. Barnett will probably be in the mix to replace him next year.
|
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Love me some LF but it is time to move one for both sides. His physical failings now outweigh his mental capabilities and emotional leadership on the field. Time to retire and get put up on the ring of honor.

I couldnt agree more. No team hangs on to over-the-hill players like the Skins do. |
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Are we resigning P Riley?
|
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Fletch is our greatest FA signing ever. He didn't break the bank, and he gave many more solid years than any of us could have hoped for. That said, we are probably watching his final few games. I hope that he's added to the Ring of Honor early next season. In Joe Gibbs parlance, he was a true Redskin.

Is it me or does Riley just seem to be sort of an average player? |
Re: Do you think London Fletcher comes back next year?
Riley is solid enough. Worth re-signing to a modest deal.

I'd like to see Orakpo stay. I don't see us letting him go, but we should bring in him competition. It'd be legit for us to have a career Redskin. I can't think of any career guys we've had in recent memory except Cooley. The only people I can see starting and ending with the Skins are RG3, Alfmo, Kerrigan and Williams. But then again I can totally see us trading them away sometime in the future. We always seem to either trade away talent or let them test FA. |
