Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones arent returning my calls and I cant find the Men In Black's phone number. So we may never know.

On a serious note. Yeah that surprised me also. I expected a few to do it just for their hopeful 15 minutes of fame. But to the extent that it happened and also the amount of women that are wearing it is... confusing, to say the least.

Re: Around the League: Week 2

AP, thats skinsfaninok boy.

Need to hear the details, but Goodell gotta be bangin his head up against a wall.

details coming out per TMZ(shaking my head typing TMZ):

Minnesota Vikings superstar Adrian Peterson has been indicted for child abuse in North Montgomery County, TX ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Sources connected to Peterson tell us ... the alleged victim is a male child from Minnesota who was visiting Adrian back in May at AP's home in Texas.

We're told the child returned home to his mother in Minn. who noticed injuries and took the child to a doctor. A short time later, the doctor contacted authorities in Texas to report Adrian.

Child Protective Services confirms they are working on a case involving Peterson and say the alleged victim is an 11-year-old boy.

Peterson was indicted in Montgomery County for reckless or negligent injury to a child, this according to Fox 26.

When I first heard the story was about using a switch, well I know that was an old style punishment and thought it might have been a case of overzealous DCS people. But it always comes back to the pictures. When you see the marks, all you can do is shake your head.

From unconfirmed sources, those pictures are supposedly a week after the spankin. So that's a little more perspective.

I got switched, branches pulled from trees, etc. and I would have welps and red marks on my legs. I don't ever remember bleeding nor do I remember scab wounds a week later. This is disturbing.

Man F... That, I got whipped with switches, belts, sticks, a 2x4, Cook spoons, got hit in the face back, had welts and everything else, my dad even broke my nose when I was in the 5th grade. I got whipped with everything you can think off and had marks that stayed on me for more than a week.

Shit happens, I got over it, but I mean I got switches at 4 years old and had bruises, the way I feel is that if they feel that way then raise his kid themselves. Some of the shit I got was child abuse but I had bruises on me after whippings all the time.

Somewhat similar situation here. No doubt I was a difficult kid, in fact I'm determined not to have kids because I'm well aware of what I was like growing up, but I had a few episodes during my formative years that certainly were well over the line. Granted nothing even close to sending me to a hospital but lets just say if a Ray Rice like tape was released one of my parents could have been easily been standing in front of a judge.

Certainly got plenty of verbal abuse growing up. True story, I learned the word 'retarded' at 5 years old because my Mother used to ask me, without joking, if I was in fact retarded. Then again the first time I ever pumped gas I sprayed my Mother with the nozzle, because after all if you give a child anything with a pointy end and a trigger....maybe she had a point?

I think it definitely has a negative effect though on a kid growing up. I remember a friend of mine telling me his parents never raised a hand to him and eventually had an a-ha moment when he later told me that he had never been in a fight. When I look at myself on the other hand, though I certainly would never be mistaken for a brawler I probably had slightly more than the average amount of fights for a kid growing up in the rough upper middle-class suburbs. I'd probably need 3 hands to count them all from k-12.

That sucks for anyone who has to go through abuse of any kind.

My dad did the whole jekel and hyde thing because he was very loving, and i believe he really does love us kids. However, he would drink and get violent and mean. Rough up my mom, etc.. He would always get the better of me when i was younger and smaller. When I was about 16-17 i finally had some size to me and during one of his fits i told him i wasn't afraid anymore and basically told him to bring it.

He overwhelmed me at first but i was younger and fitter and hung in there. I ended up beating him pretty soundly for which to this day I am ashamed and sad for. Two times he was knocked down and it should have been over with but he wanted to keep going so in my rage i obliged him. I'd like to think that I beat it out of him but i know better. He never tried me again. I wish i could take the whole thing back, but anybody who has been threatened like that kind of understands. My step mother called the police on me and the cops came - they said it was "mutual combat" so no charges were filed. My dad was sent home the next day from work because of his appearance. It was a terrible time in our life.

AP might do well to remember some of the beatings he got as a child. Because his child might come back one day and have something for him...

Re: Around the League: Week 2

Ive never personally been affected like yall have, but I did work at a Juvenile Court Service Unit in a big city and small county early out of college and I had alot of exposure to domestic violence and it can be traumatic for the women and children who fall victim to that type of abuse. Its time the NFL gets it sh*t together and tackle (intended) the issue. I seriously think they need to approach the NCAA and work with them because that behavior clearly starts there with the kids today. These guys are already on a pedestal coming out of college.

I dont know about anyone else, but I have clauses at where Ive worked for the last 13 years where if I get arrested and charged for theft, fraud, domestic abuse, violent offenses, etc. I can be let go immediately. Its happened several times to folks where I worked in the last five years, one for theft of ice from a cooler, another for threats against an ex girlfriend through email. These were people in decent positions where I work.

I read in another article that allegedly at AP's house he has basically a "whooping" room - with belts and switches and shit hanging from the walls.

AP might be sick - he went through the terrible tragedy of having his son die like a year or so ago. I wouldn't be surprised if when he was a kid - he was beaten in the same kind / style of room. He probably believes that beatings like that are completley normal.

My grandma tells stories all the time of how her sisters and her were beaten. I mean full on like had the shit beat out of them. Her siblings have scars on their backs and legs from switches, belts, whatever they could get their hands on.

And the saddest part is my great aunt says how much their mother "loved them".

Lol, I almost forgot that basically the biggest advocate right now for the Skins to keep their name outside of the Skins organization is Roger Goodell. Yeah, I don't get our PR one bit. Tony Wyllie was one of the most respected PR guys in the league............until he got to Washington, DC and it all changed. He's made blunder after blunder, starting with the suing the DC paper, threatening to take reporters credentials away via email, paying blogger to promote positive spin on Redskins name and so on. It's just one mind boggling thing after another. Who's driving these decisions? Danny? Tony?

WHY COULDN'T HE JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP. Everybody stopped talking about us and our name. We had silence. NOoooooooo...what do these dipshits do? Draw yet more attention to us. "HEY LOOK, IT'S THE RACIST ASSHOLE STICKING UP FOR A WIFE BEATER!!" :cussing:

I seriously despise Dan Snyder with a passion as well as our PR staff. Either he's turned Tony Wyllie into a dipshit or Tony's simply fallen off the wagon.

Why should we chill out? Can you even remotely explain why Dan would back one of the most hated man in America right now? This man is so hated, that Obama is currently sent him a thank you card for taking the heat off him.

After all the pounding we've been taking the past few years about our name and overall incompetence, why would you back a guy who's basically lied to the public and owners? A guy who's pretty much said domestic violence isn't that big of a deal? A guy who stripped 36 million in cap from us over their illegal activity?

Why would Dan Snyder of all people support him publicly? All this idiot is doing is making our target that much bigger. Is it because Roger supports our name? Well, that isn't going to mean much when the public hates the guy. Is it because Roger makes him a shit ton of cash? Yeah, that'll go over well with the public. Let me sell out my morals for cash.

Has there been a owner that has backed Goodell publicly since it was released the law enforcement did send him the video?
